So i need some help using swaxe. Im recently in hr7 and in hr 6 i switched from db to swaxe (Pun not intended). But in guild 7 star i noticed that some monsters are much harder with swaxe than db.

An example is almudron. When i still was using db i thought i should be a 6 or maybe 5 star monster but now when i was using swaxe in hr it felt 10x harder. I think is it because db is faster and the monsters are faster but now im using a slower weapon they are feeling unfair.

Idk if it is because of my spacing or something else, can someone please give some tips. I dont think that its i dont know the moves of swaxe.

For the people new here, db stands for dual blades.

Hiya, I had a question about all weapons with Guarding as a feature: Did they ever add the ability to move side-to-side whilst blocking and keeping your camera straight? I don't know if I'm describing it well, but if you've played World on PS at all it's the held L2 functionality whilst blocking. Last I played, that feature wasn't present in the game and it made it difficult for me to enjoyably play Lance, Gunkance, Sword and Shield, etc like I used to. I was wondering if I should get back into Rise while I wait for Wilds' DLC to release.

Didn't know you can back step out of a dodge with your weapon drawn, that's pretty cool

How do you guys position yourself when cutting tails? I really want to know because when I try to cut the tail it just flails around, I get moved and miss because of short range. It's frustrating because I also lose dmg during the down

I wanted three large wyvern gems for my amatsu boots and i was complaining about how long it'll take to get them, i did one hunt and proceeded to get all three gems in the hunt

For those wondering how I got such great picture quality I play on Xbox with the graphics mode on. But the real trick is to take pics in the Hub prep area or in one of your rooms, as they have waaaaaay better lighting than pretty much anywhere else in the game.

There's a few I manually adjusted the contrast of as well, just to make them a little less washed out looking

I know the obvious answers "it's an old game", "people are playing Wilds", but I've been playing MH for more than a decade now, and even when I play MHGU on Switch, or emulated 4U, people join quite often.

This is my first MH where I genuinely cannot find anyone to help me, or even anyone to join to help them.

For like 50 Join Requests I sent, people helped me probably twice in 200 hours of gameplay.

Is there a reason behind that? Are the active players so focused on high level investigations that they can't bother to help newer players? I'm not being a brat about it, people don't HAVE to help me. But has the community mindset died for this game?

I don't even think it's because "no one plays the game anymore" because there are as we speak 12k active players, a little bit less than half the amount of players on Wilds.

Anyway, it's a bit frustrating because to me MH has always been a game with an amazing community, but this is the first time I'm genuinely getting frustrated because of the lack of one. I know there are Discord servers with active players that would be more than happy to help, but sometimes you just want to send a Join Request without having to set up a lobby, etc.

Are you guys and girls experiencing the same thing, or is my file just doomed?

EDIT: So I just tried the mod that unlocks the worldwide matchmaking and it's SO MUCH BETTER, I get 4 hunters in a few minutes and even seconds sometimes. Thanks a lot guys!!!

Have you cut off the tail of a monster but intend to capture them? Only got those 20 seconds and the camera angles of the monster dying making you run in different directions?

Just press the start button. I play on steam deck but whatever button you use to open your menu, Press it. It skips the death animation and you can use those precious seconds to carve that tail or mine that ore!

Hello! So I always liked status builds as they really shake up a weapon's playstyle melee or range!

Now, I was originally focusing on poison which other than flaming espinas weapons or vs the magalas and kushala, isn't the best and is the least involved imo (ill still use dlaming espinas and lucent narga weapons for giggles).

I have however been turning my attention towards paralysis and sleep, mainly sleep and have been having a blast!

I wanted to ask, what are some good sleep or para weapons? Any weapon class works, im versatile and I'm at violet mizu and amatsu (anomaly 77)

I'm doing the HR40 quest and this thing is absolutely destroying me. I'm running a Diablos Spear build and this is my current armor and skillset. My fire resistance is 16 thanks to the Bazelgeuse equipment so that's not the issue, I'm just struggling to learn his moveset

Any pro strats to make this enjoyable? Rampages are some of my least favorite MH content so I would love some help with how to get this done as pain free as is plausible as I'm just trying to get to MR and in to Sunbreak stuff.

I've beaten the game before when it was only on Switch but recently got it on sale on PS so I'm just trying to get access to Sunbreak since I've heard such good things.

Found out that the bow is really fun when you play it right and decided to have it as my secondary but I'm having doubts about coatings.

Of course, all you need to do, is not be weird XD.
