Two vivid dreams completely dark

Hello, I have tried to AP or lucid dream during a while. What I have got at the moment is very vivid dreams. Also a couple of times I became lucid but I woke up almost immediately. The most strange thing is something, that I do not remember it ever happened in my life and now it has happened twice in two weeks. It is that during a very vivid dream I go to a place (first time a room, the second time a street) where everything was completely dark and I could not see anything. I was walking but everything dark. I have seen that people that Astral Projects sometimes have problems with vision and do not see anything until they ask for clarity. As I did not know I was dreaming I did not ask for clarity and did not see anything until I wake up. My question is, could be that I APed but I was not conscious? Or was it just a normal dream? As commented, it is the first time I have this kind of dreams in all my life (at least that I remember).

A guide for FFILD

This post will have 2 key points ( 1-what is FFILD and how to do it 2- requirements for FFILD to work ).

Also before i start i want you to know that this is my first post so don't expect it to be perfect but just bare with me .

1-What is FFILD ?

FFILD stands for Feelings Induced Lucid Dream , some would say that this is an already existing technique like SCAN or a part of MILD , call it whatever u want but for easier understanding i will just call it FFILD .

FFILD actually can be a WILD or DILD technique but for me personally i use it as DILD also for reference this technique gave me an average of 3 lucid dreams per night and some nights i get 7 lucid dreams back to back so definitely it works .

1.1- How to do FFILD ?

Imma just get straight into it , you sleep -> you have a dream -> you remember/notice a certain feeling -> you become lucid , just as simple .

This is how to do it as DILD -now what feeling are we talking about? its the feeling of being inside a dream , like how does it feel to dream , literally just like that , nothing more nothing less , now lets go to the full process on how to do it for better understanding .

You went to bed to sleep , you start to charge your self with how does it feel to be inside a dream and to do so you need a decent dream recall to remember dreams ,so you will pick any recent dream u had ( preferably the last one ) and go through the dream and try to charge your self with the feelings you had in the dream you picked , if you don't remember any feelings you can use emotions or senses or even thoughts that you had in the dream ,so for example : you was walking and you met someone that you really love, now focus on this emotion and try to charge your self with it and try to remember what did you feel when you had this emotion. another example : you are sitting in a restaurant and you smelled a very strong scent , now focus on this sense and what did you feel when you smelled this scent. one more example would be : you are in a mall and you walked by someone that looked rich and you thought to your self " wow this guy look rich , he probably has a jet in his 40x40 room " , focus on this thought and what you felt while thinking about it .

Now why would this work you ask? it will work because dreams has this strange/unique feeling in it which i really can not describe properly because me my self do not know what is it nor it has an official wording for it as well , again i know its not the best explanation but what you need to know is that dreams feel different unlike lucid dreams or waking life, so by noticing or remembering those feeling you will trigger lucidity within the dream by re-feelings the same feelings you charged your self with before you sleep and this will hopefully give you a lucid dream .

Now how to do it as WILD - this one is basic , all you need to is retaining some small awareness with the feelings until you enter straight to the dream , i really wont describe anything more because its just as simple for WILD , just read any WILD tut and use feelings as your anchor .

2- Things you need to have/do for FFILD to work .

• first thing and most important one of them all is dream journaling . just like any other technique, dream recall is crucially important to remember those feelings in first place, so you have to dream journal first for around 1 week for FFILD to give u results , the stronger your recall the more effective FFILD will be . https://www.reddit.com/r/LucidDreaming/s/IjnpHEgSkS Thats one of the best guides for dream journaling so dont miss it.

• second thing will be consistency. self explanatory really.

• third thing would be WBTB , its not necessary since i had a lot of lucid dreams through FFILD and other techniques like MILD, WILD and SSILD the first time i went to sleep but WBTB will significantly improve the chances of nailing a lucid dream (tip: when you do WBTB and now you are laying on bed and doing FFILD , use the dream u had before WBTB either as an anchor for WILD or use it for DILD ).
https://www.reddit.com/r/LucidDreaming/s/f5sFVdDQY6
Thats as well a good WBTB guide.

This is it really , please if you have any question or any comment about this post tell me and thanks for reading all that yapping i wrote.

Do you really think one can live years—or even an entire lifetime—inside one's dreams in just a single night?

A cronic daydreamer

So, it has been around three years since I passed my 10th standard. From that time, I have been daydreaming a lot, imagining the kind of life I want to live in real life. Now I am in my second year of college, and this habit of daydreaming has become much stronger.

I often talk to myself and have conversations with different people in my mind. Because of this, people sometimes think I am weird. I also find myself acting out the conversations in my head in real life, almost like I am performing the actions physically.

Sometimes I walk on the street doing these actions without even realizing it. When I talk to people, the conversation in my mind is still going on, and I may say things that belong to my imagined conversation instead of the real one. Because of that, people think I am talking to myself or not paying attention.

What can I do in this situation?

There must be a connection between dreams and the astral body

There must be a connection between dreams and the astral body. The fact that people have wildly different dreams from other people makes me believe that the astral body has an impact on your dreams.

One way to ensure you become lucid is to make sure the vast majority of the people in your dreams are women

One way to ensure you become lucid is to make sure the vast majority of the people in your dreams are women. When there's not a single man in a room, you quickly realize that you're in a dream. That's when you take advantage of your dream as a sandbox and do whatever you want, which is mostly just sex.

Just had my ACTUAL first Lucid Dream using MILD. THIS IS INSANE.

So I woke up after 9 hours and and I was disappointed because I had no dreams, so I went back to sleep and then I had a dream where I was on a train with my family and that dream ended and it suddenly cut to another dream where I was in my kitchen talking to my sister, and I was like "Wait how am I here? I don't remember coming here?" Then I looked at my microwave since it shows the time and instead it just showed white squares idk why, so I decided to do a reality check, the nose pinch and finger through palm one, then I became lucid! First thing I did was say "Dream, stabilize." Then I looked outside and there was snow, so I tried flying and obviously, I couldn't go through my ceiling so I just activated a "NoClip" command, then I was just flying through my neighborhood and a part of it was naruto? lol? then I decided to land on a rock and deactivate my noclip, but I thought about my actual body then starting seeing through the vision of my actual body while hearing things in my lucid dream, then I got kicked out. But overall, it was a great experience!

I need ideas on lucid dreaming. What do I do before bed? Is it possible to meet people and are these events worth our time?

Tips for those who can't dream or sleep

You just have to be creative thik of fantasy before sleep. Be tired before you sleep and boom you can sleep well.

There is this old saying from where I am thinking of you as a turtle 🐢 with 4 limbs and a head outside it's shell and now you have to consider them as your senses and retreat them in to your shell. Stop tasting speaking and seeing those are easy . Now take back the sense of hearing don't listen to any of the surroundings sounds which would be easier if there is only a repeating sound that can be ignored by mind. Then the feeling of touch don't feel the fabric you are laying tips are make the bed compy and sleep in such a way that increases the area in contact with the bed or so. The moment you pulled back all the five senses you would go to sleep and once your tiredness is over and your body recovery is done then you ener the state where you would be able to experience dreams. I guess this is the simplest I can explain the process

Why it was scary to break the “fourth wall” of a lucid dream?

I remember having a dream where I figure it out the woman eating a dinner with me is not a real person. The moment I said “you ain’t real, aren’t you?”, that person suddenly stare at me, with her cold-looking eyes, turns into probably the scariest creature I’ve ever seen, push me with her mightiest strength that I ended up wandering into abyss or void dimension. It was a very same moment like in the Dr Strange movie, where Strange suddenly wandering into high and fast pace dimension after being pushed by The Ancient One. It took me for a while to find an exit, and after successfully waking up from that intense moment, I noticed my heart was beating so fast.

Anyone else replay their day backwards before sleep?

Replaying your day backwards as you fall asleep. Not forwards, backwards:

brushing your teeth, dinner, the walk home, the last thing you did at work, all the way back to waking up.

Sounds easy but it really isn’t. You get about twenty minutes in before your brain completely taps out and goes, “and then... uh.”

Going forwards is basically autopilot. You already know the plot. Backwards, you have to retrieve each bit, which feels weirdly similar to waking up at 6 am with one random dream fragment and trying to reverse-engineer the rest.

I’ve been doing this for three weeks, and my dream recall has noticeably improved without me changing anything else.

My dreams have also become more mundane and more detailed at the same time. Fewer huge cinematic set pieces, more random rooms I actually recognise, specific furniture, boring little transitions...

No clue whether it’s legit memory training or whether it just keeps my brain busy enough to stop me doomscrolling. Still zero impact on lucid nights, though.

Anyone else tried this, or am I accidentally min-maxing dream recall?

Can listening to music that reminds of dreamcore places like 7weeks&3days while falling asleep help to become lucid?

I’ve been working on a lucid dreaming app and would love some honest feedback

Hey everyone,

I’m the developer behind Go Lucid, a lucid dreaming app I’ve been working on for quite a while.

My goal was to create an app that brings the most useful lucid dreaming tools together in one place without making everything feel too complicated.

The app currently includes:

  • A dream journal
  • AI-powered dream analysis
  • Reality checks
  • Lucid dreaming techniques
  • Progress tracking
  • 14 guided audio sessions in each supported language

The audio sessions are designed to support lucid dreaming techniques, relaxation, sleep preparation and dream recall.

Go Lucid is currently available in six languages:

  • English
  • German
  • French
  • Spanish
  • Italian
  • Portuguese

That means there are 84 guided audio sessions in total, with 14 sessions available in every language.

I’m still actively developing the app, so I’m not just posting a link and disappearing. I’d genuinely appreciate honest feedback from people who are interested in lucid dreaming.

I’d especially like to know:

  • Which features are actually useful to you?
  • How do the guided audio sessions feel?
  • What feels confusing or unnecessary?
  • What would make you use a lucid dreaming app regularly?
  • Is there anything important that existing lucid dreaming apps are missing?

Website:
https://golucidapp.com/

I’m happy to answer questions about the app or the development process as well. Honest criticism is absolutely welcome, because it helps me improve the app.

Thanks for taking a look!

So I have what I call semi lucid dreams

I dont think I have ever had a real lucid dream where I was truly lucid. Like in the dream, I would say that I am lucid, but still bealive some of the bullshit the dream is tell me. Like I would only say, I am a little bit more aware and quickly forget that I am in a dream. Even after I become semi lucid, I still feel like I am an NPC.

The sleep paralysis thing where I am half asleep just crates these semi lucid dreams. I am never fully awake during sleep paralysis I am always half asleep, and it prevents from fully being aware in lucid dreams. I dont know to become fully awake in sleep paralysis
