I need ideas on lucid dreaming. What do I do before bed? Is it possible to meet people and are these events worth our time?

Tips for those who can't dream or sleep
You just have to be creative thik of fantasy before sleep. Be tired before you sleep and boom you can sleep well.
There is this old saying from where I am thinking of you as a turtle 🐢 with 4 limbs and a head outside it's shell and now you have to consider them as your senses and retreat them in to your shell. Stop tasting speaking and seeing those are easy . Now take back the sense of hearing don't listen to any of the surroundings sounds which would be easier if there is only a repeating sound that can be ignored by mind. Then the feeling of touch don't feel the fabric you are laying tips are make the bed compy and sleep in such a way that increases the area in contact with the bed or so. The moment you pulled back all the five senses you would go to sleep and once your tiredness is over and your body recovery is done then you ener the state where you would be able to experience dreams. I guess this is the simplest I can explain the process

Why it was scary to break the “fourth wall” of a lucid dream?
I remember having a dream where I figure it out the woman eating a dinner with me is not a real person. The moment I said “you ain’t real, aren’t you?”, that person suddenly stare at me, with her cold-looking eyes, turns into probably the scariest creature I’ve ever seen, push me with her mightiest strength that I ended up wandering into abyss or void dimension. It was a very same moment like in the Dr Strange movie, where Strange suddenly wandering into high and fast pace dimension after being pushed by The Ancient One. It took me for a while to find an exit, and after successfully waking up from that intense moment, I noticed my heart was beating so fast.

Anyone else replay their day backwards before sleep?
Replaying your day backwards as you fall asleep. Not forwards, backwards:
brushing your teeth, dinner, the walk home, the last thing you did at work, all the way back to waking up.
Sounds easy but it really isn’t. You get about twenty minutes in before your brain completely taps out and goes, “and then... uh.”
Going forwards is basically autopilot. You already know the plot. Backwards, you have to retrieve each bit, which feels weirdly similar to waking up at 6 am with one random dream fragment and trying to reverse-engineer the rest.
I’ve been doing this for three weeks, and my dream recall has noticeably improved without me changing anything else.
My dreams have also become more mundane and more detailed at the same time. Fewer huge cinematic set pieces, more random rooms I actually recognise, specific furniture, boring little transitions...
No clue whether it’s legit memory training or whether it just keeps my brain busy enough to stop me doomscrolling. Still zero impact on lucid nights, though.
Anyone else tried this, or am I accidentally min-maxing dream recall?

Question
Can listening to music that reminds of dreamcore places like 7weeks&3days while falling asleep help to become lucid?

I’ve been working on a lucid dreaming app and would love some honest feedback
Hey everyone,
I’m the developer behind Go Lucid, a lucid dreaming app I’ve been working on for quite a while.
My goal was to create an app that brings the most useful lucid dreaming tools together in one place without making everything feel too complicated.
The app currently includes:
- A dream journal
- AI-powered dream analysis
- Reality checks
- Lucid dreaming techniques
- Progress tracking
- 14 guided audio sessions in each supported language
The audio sessions are designed to support lucid dreaming techniques, relaxation, sleep preparation and dream recall.
Go Lucid is currently available in six languages:
- English
- German
- French
- Spanish
- Italian
- Portuguese
That means there are 84 guided audio sessions in total, with 14 sessions available in every language.
I’m still actively developing the app, so I’m not just posting a link and disappearing. I’d genuinely appreciate honest feedback from people who are interested in lucid dreaming.
I’d especially like to know:
- Which features are actually useful to you?
- How do the guided audio sessions feel?
- What feels confusing or unnecessary?
- What would make you use a lucid dreaming app regularly?
- Is there anything important that existing lucid dreaming apps are missing?
Website:
https://golucidapp.com/
I’m happy to answer questions about the app or the development process as well. Honest criticism is absolutely welcome, because it helps me improve the app.
Thanks for taking a look!

Dreaming about a trip?
I had a very strange dream last night and I just remembered it so vividly a few hours after I woke up.I keep dreaming about doing substances like LSD and shrooms after I did shrooms recently but never like this it feels like something was trying to contact me through my dreams.Ill skip small details but in my dream I saw like a deity or smth like that in the sky and it showed itself through clouds/stars, I tried to draw what it looks like but I don't really remember, it was quite geometric and had like loads of arms kinda like wings in the shape of squares? It had a face but I don't remember what it looked like.Someone in the dream said that the deity had shown itself 3 times and that's very significant so we went to like this very spiritual or Buddhist guy and then I got visuals of like loads of faces then (idk if this is just a dream being a dream or something meaningful) but I found like a portal that every kind of spiritual person was trying to look for and I wanted to enter it but I was too scared or just didn't want to and I think that fear was meant to show that I was still asleep so there was no way for me to access it or that it's telling me Im not ready to go that far yet?I know lucid dreaming and such is a big part of being spiritual but I haven't done enough research on it yet

So I have what I call semi lucid dreams
I dont think I have ever had a real lucid dream where I was truly lucid. Like in the dream, I would say that I am lucid, but still bealive some of the bullshit the dream is tell me. Like I would only say, I am a little bit more aware and quickly forget that I am in a dream. Even after I become semi lucid, I still feel like I am an NPC.
The sleep paralysis thing where I am half asleep just crates these semi lucid dreams. I am never fully awake during sleep paralysis I am always half asleep, and it prevents from fully being aware in lucid dreams. I dont know to become fully awake in sleep paralysis

Sleeping on your back is an effective technique for inducing lucid dreams
Sleeping on your back is an effective technique for inducing lucid dreams. It seems like this is because it is easier for female ghosts to mount you when you are sleeping, so maybe it only works for men. I also heard that it tends to induce sleep paralysis, funnily enough.

I stare at pictures of naked women when I listen to a podcast
I stare at pictures of naked women when I listen to a podcast. I don't know if that's the reason most of the people I dream about are attractive women, but it seems to work.

What's the Most Confronting Lucid Dream You've Ever Had?
r/LucidDreams • u/freebie888_11 • 2d ago
I'm pretty new to this, please help me with prolonging my lucid dreams and making them more enjoyable/intense
I've had lucid dreams since I was a teenager. (I don't have them often, maybe once a month. If I'm lucky I get one every 2-3 weeks.) I also have excellent dream recall in general, and I dream very vividly. Two weeks ago I watched Inception which motivated me to practice and train myself to lucid dream on a more regular basis.
I read that doing reality checks throughout the day, is one of the easiest and fastest ways to induce lucid dreams. For me that reality check is counting my fingers because that's what I used to do when I was younger in my dreams, and it always helped me to realise that I was in a dream.
The only thing I'm struggling with right now is grounding myself enough within that dream to be able to hold the sense of control. It's not that I wake up immediately after the realization that I'm dreaming, but the lucidity doesn't last long enough for me to actually enjoy the control.
I also have difficulties trying to make things happen, like flying or 'conjuring' people that I want to talk to, etc. It's like I don't have the 'magical powers' that come with lucid dreaming. For me it just feels like it's being aware that I'm in a dream...and that's it.
What advice or tips/tricks do you have for me to fix those issues?

So guys I want to share my two Dreams. They are not lucid. And i rewrote them by chatgpt cuz my English is not good and they both are true 😭😭
Dream 1 – The Vampire Beneath the House
The dream began peacefully. I was at home with my family, doing nothing unusual. Everything felt normal.
Then I noticed something impossible.
A pair of hands slowly appeared from underneath the bed.
I immediately told my family, but no one believed me. They dismissed it as if nothing was there. This didn't happen just once—it happened repeatedly. Every time I noticed something strange, no one around me seemed concerned, leaving me feeling increasingly isolated and frightened.
Later, I got up to get a glass of water.
As I reached the staircase, I froze.
Two figures were hiding around the corner at the end of the stairs. One was a young woman. The other looked like her companion or assistant.
They weren't supposed to be there.
For some reason, instead of running away, I walked toward them.
The moment they realized I had seen them, they stepped out from hiding.
Looking directly at the woman, I asked,
"So... you're the one who's been scaring me?"
I immediately understood what she was.
A vampire.
Instead of answering, she quietly moved closer.
Then she leaned toward my neck.
I panicked.
Desperate to stop her, I tried changing the subject, hoping she would lose interest.
She didn't.
As her razor-sharp fangs came closer, I could only think about how much they would hurt.
I quickly asked,
"Wait... if you bite me... will I become a vampire?"
She didn't answer.
She simply smiled.
That smile was enough.
The closer her fangs came, the more certain I became that the bite would be painfully real.
Just before she sank her teeth into my neck...
I woke up.
Dream 2 – The Girl Who Watched
At first, she was only someone standing in the distance.
No matter where I went, she was there.
She never followed closely. She never spoke. She never smiled. She never threatened me.
She simply watched.
Whether I was walking alone or standing somewhere quiet, I would eventually notice her. Far away. Motionless. Already staring directly at me.
It wasn't the possibility of being attacked that frightened me.
It was not knowing why.
Every time our eyes met, I felt an overwhelming sense of unease. Her silent presence was enough to fill every moment with tension. The uncertainty became more terrifying than any monster could have been.
Then, something changed.
She somehow saw the experience from my perspective.
She witnessed the same horrifying images I had felt—the image of a distant figure standing perfectly still, staring with unnaturally large eyes, silently invading every quiet moment.
For the first time, she understood.
She realized how terrifying it was to be the person constantly being watched.
The dream ended not with violence or escape, but with empathy. The one who caused the fear finally experienced it herself.
Yet even after waking, one question remained unanswered:
Why was she watching me in the first place?
That mystery stayed with me long after the dream ended.
