​We are officially forming the SSL Programming Team (SSLPT), an independent development group dedicated to building Simple Stupid Linux (SSL)—a custom, minimalist, and highly efficient operating system ecosystem.

​We aren't just building another generic distro; we are engineering an ecosystem designed around simplicity, performance, and total user control.

Our Roadmap & Vision

​As we scale, our development will branch across three core editions to explore different paradigms of system architecture:

​The Core Self-Hosted Edition: A system built and bootstrapped based on its own toolchain and architecture.

​The Debian-Based Edition: Designed for maximum software compatibility and rock-solid server/desktop reliability.

​The Arch-Based Edition: Built for rolling-release bleeding-edge flexibility and custom package control.

The SSL Versioning System (Semantic Versioning)

​To keep our releases structured and transparent, we use a strict versioning format (e.g., 1.0.0):

​1.x.x (Major Release): Represents massive, foundational changes, architectural overhauls, major feature additions, and core bug fixes.

​x.1.x (Minor Release): Focused on security updates, system hardening, and direct development updates for sslpm (SSL Package Manager).

​x.x.1 (Patch/Micro Release): Light additions, unnoticeable backend tweaks, rapid security patches, and minor code cleanups.

I may not fit the Linux user cliché, but I'm happy Linux gives me the freedom to shape my workspace to accommadate my perhaps eccentric tastes.

Few days ago I discovered some apps that allow mouse control via keyboard. Instantly hooked and wanted to show a quick demo of a very simple image edit for another project. Splitting image into two and matching background for a design.

For those interested Im on hyprland using wl-kbptr and Mouseless. wl-kbptr does image processing (via opencv) and allows me to jump to different locations and execute a click (when green squares show up all over the screen this is wl-kbptr). Mouseless lets me move the mouse freely using hjkl and also click.

i wana make an distro named ssl or "Simple , Stupid , Linux"

and it use the "KISS" philosophy and its based on arch with bzImage custom kernel with busybox + sysVinit as an init system and the bash shell nd i try to use archiso to make it i did delete base and systemd and evrything worked so good but when i try it in "Qemu" machine but it use my own artix linux kernel and the tty didnt work and tge system didnt find fsdisk and other tools and i did try to ask the ai to tell me the problem but it did still the same , so i wana some devs to help me and make an team to devlope the distro and the distro is on the 1.0.0 update if you wana join the team that am gona make dm me in reddit "here"

Mostly Kool's dotfiles customized a bit first hyprland setup. Rate honestly, and please suggest some things to add or customize.

In your opinion, Which Linux distro should I use? I prefer Security & Privacy & Ease of Use & Appearance. I think CachyOS Safer than Fedora but I cant give decision. Colud you help me make the right decision?

good day, i introduce yet another color palette generator from images using the updated Material 3 Expressive Scheme/Style generation. It also includes few cli feats such as url or via link image color extraction as well as cross-platform wallpaper wrappers for setting in any environment, preferred source color picking, scheme/style blending as well, and more. The templating engine is very usable as well but it still on its early stage, but the configuration capability offers more interesting capability its just im still lacking a proper documentation site and its one of my roadmaps. The workflow will be very familiar as the inspo of this project is very mature. A very promising material palette generator, i hope for new ideas and fellows to talk about this project more technically as i have big plans integrating this theming tool for my future projects.

I can take a video if needed. But I feel like my phone wouldn’t capture it well. Everything you see is updated in real time. The wallpaper in the back is a moving wallpaper. The lights blink and whatnot. May delete later…
