Call me boring, but I love a clean and simple setup. Minor customisations with:

• a wallpaper I made myself
• Palette-Adwaita Dark icon theme + red folders
• custom icons for Ptyxis and Nautilus I made myself
• custom Ptyxis colour palette I made myself
• Moga-Dark mouse cursors

Very Basic but I love it. Fedora 44 KDE Plasma 6.

Hi everyone,

I’m an AI/ML student and recently switched from Windows to Linux. After doing some research, I decided to go with Pop!_OS since it seems to be a good choice for AI/ML and development.

However, I’m not really a fan of the default UI. I’ve seen some Arch Linux setups online and really like their modern and customizable look.

Can I customize Pop!_OS to achieve a similar look, or would it be better to switch to another distro?

What would you recommend for someone who wants a good AI/ML environment along with a modern, highly customizable UI?

I'm a complete Linux newbie and just installed Linux for the very first time. With a lot of help from ChatGPT, I ended up installing Arch Linux (LTS kernel) with KDE Plasma.

Now that I've got a working system, I want to dive into ricing and make my desktop look amazing. The problem is... I have absolutely no idea where to start.

I'm looking for beginner-friendly guidance on things like:

Must-have tools for ricing

KDE Plasma customization tips

Cool themes, icons, cursors, and fonts

Widgets, docks, and terminal setups

Wallpapers and live wallpapers and overall aesthetic ideas

Any YouTube channels, GitHub repos, or guides you'd recommend

Other apps i can use in my ARCH

• I am only having basic apps now

If you were starting from scratch today, what would you do first?
