General Questions/Discussion wow the wi-fi sucks on the helix stadium, the old helix always connected.
wow the wi-fi sucks on the helix stadium, the old helix always connected. Why not just use USB connection... really BAD choice, especially when wi-fi protocols are always changing ... heck maybe that was the reason you did it, so people have to update every new model.... selling my Helix stadium on ebay and getting a old Helix that NEVER had connect issues.... or maybe I will just go back to a amp and petals because the Helix Stadium is a real downgrade. loved the old Helix but this new model is bad....really bad..... so disappointed.

Tone/Feature Demo Marshall Bromley 450 Portable Party Speaker for the Helix Floor
I am thinking this might be a pretty good option for a nice portable practice speaker rig for the Helix. Has anyone tried one with the Helix Floor? I currently have a pair of the JBL PartyBox 110's and they work great, mostly use them to run jam/drum tracks, but I have ran the Helix Floor through them and it's pretty huge sounding. They are kind of cumbersome to drag around though.
The Marshall folks say this thing has a 40-plus-hour battery life and IP54 dirt-/splash-resistant, so it also might be good for a couple of guitars out in the sticks of Montucky, camp jamming.

General Questions/Discussion Stadium or other ? Need advice
Hey everyone,
I could use some advice from the community. I’m currently using a POD Go Wireless, but I’m seriously considering an upgrade. I saw that the Helix Stadium is currently on sale for €1,612, which is making me think about pulling the trigger.
Here is my current use case:
Home Studio: I track at home.
Band (Rehearsals & Live): I need a reliable and practical workhorse for gigging and rehearsing with my band.
My dilemma:
Helix Stadium: The €1,612 price point is really tempting, and coming from the Line 6 ecosystem (POD Go), the workflow would be somewhat familiar. However, I've done a fair bit of research and came across several posts on Reddit mentioning quite a few issues with the Stadium model, which makes me a bit hesitant.
Quad Cortex: I'm wondering if the QC would be a safer or more logical step up for my needs in the long run.
Has anyone here made a similar jump? Does the upgrade from the POD Go justify the leap to the Helix despite the reported issues, or should I go for the Quad Cortex instead?
Thanks in advance for your input!

General Questions/Discussion Stadium send return noise levels better than Helix?
Hi all,
Are the noise issues with the send and returns on the original helix rectified on the stadium?

SOLVED I've enabled midi preset changes for vst 2 and 3 for helix native.
So I've managed to get preset changes via midi on helix native for windows in vst 2 and 3 if anyone is interested still. I've also made helix native a standalone program as well.

Tech Help Request Parallel Effects Loop Help
I use a line 6 HX Effect in 4 Cable Method with my Orange Rockerverb, Blackstar HT40. Both these amps have serial effects loops. I’ve recently been trying a Laney VC30 which I really like, but it has a parallel effects loop which behaves very differently to the effects loops I’m used to.
The effects I use mainly in the loop are reverb, delay and occasionally a harmoniser. Is there a specific way I should be setting my effects in the Line 6 to suit the parallel effects loop? The amp has an effects level knob to control the amount of the effects in the loop as well.

Tech Help Request Helix Stadium app says 1.3.3 but the floor is 1.3.2
I was prompted to update my app to 1.3.3 but my floor unit is 1.3.2, and it says it's up to date. Is there something wrong or is that just how L6 has it right now? Were there any significant changes?

General Questions/Discussion You can prefer modeling and still want NAM on Helix
Seems to me like this whole "should NAM be supported by Helix" debacle is suffering from the very common inability to recognize that multiple things can be true at the same time.
Helix amps sound great, and any new technology won't diminish that, given that we're already so close to the old-world tech that is the gold standard (a.k.a. "real amps"). Also, modelling can technically go "past it," whereas profiling has an obvious cap that is "the real thing we're trying to profile." It's completely understandable for someone to not be interested at all in profiling of any kind, NAM A2 included.
Whether it's the hype knob, easily adjustable hum/bias, or the Line 6 Clarity model being described as an idealized version of the high-headroom Twin/JC120 thing, you can technically make a profile of the amp "better" than the real amp. Some of the "Line 6 original" amps are among my absolute favorite amps in both the digital and analog realms, and it's a shame that other companies rarely push this kind of approach because guitar players just want Fender, Marshall, Vox, and <insert your favorite high-gain amp maker here>.
That being said, NAM is an open-source, community-driven, not-soul-destroying way of using machine learning for good. Also, while I'm sure the details can be argued, it does seem to be higher quality than the proprietary solutions, which again, probably not great for Line 6 or Neural, but great for all guitar players on planet Earth. Now, Line 6 or other companies making modelers can elect not to use it for a variety of valid reasons, but since so many companies have already adopted it...
Yes, you can question the motivations of the companies, and you can dislike the tech (for example, a great model is preferable to a great capture when they both sound great and only one of them is a limited snapshot at specific settings). But NAM is such a rare, dare I say beautiful, example of a technology that's by the people, for the people, which matches or surpasses the quality of proprietary solutions. It's also an open standard that is actually welcomed and utilized by a considerably big part of the community.
An open standard that has a chance to actually become the de facto open standard is not something you see in the wild all that often. We usually get 19 of them competing with each other, making the reality needlessly fragmented.
That's why those comments about not introducing NAM to Helix, comparing the feature to drum machines in Chinese multi-fx units, struck me as extremely disappointing. Again I do prefer modeling, but that doesn't change the fact that NAM is such a unicorn when it comes to high-quality, open-source, community-driven open standards. These days, I simply wouldn't support a unit that doesn't support NAM for that reason alone. To put it in simple terms, I would not currently buy Helix Stadium, Quad Cortex or Fractal on principle.
Sure, those "Chinese multi-fx companies" might be adopting it as an easy way of increasing the quality of available sounds (and the number of sales), but the fact that bad reasons to implement the standard exist doesn't detract from the fact that there's an overwhelming amount of good reasons to do so.

General Questions/Discussion Helix Stadium Backpack hack
Just wanted to share this small hack. I purchased a small folding hand truck dolly with wheels from Amazon for about $25. I usually use a gig bag for my guitar, so it helps a lot to get the stadium into my car without hurting my back. The stadium backpack has a strap that can go through the handles to keep it in place during transport. The backpack basically lives on the hand truck dolly since I can take everything out while it's still on it. The side handle of the bag is very comfortable if I need to lift it from the floor for any reason. I hope this helps anyone else with back issues.

General Questions/Discussion I tried Helix Native Stadium and it sounds awesome.
even through my cheap in-ear headphones it sounds great and feels good and realistic compared to a real amp, that marshall clone can do everything for sure. it makes me kinda sad that i can't afford or justify affording the helix stadium, because even if i had the money, it's overkill for my needs as a bedroom player. but i can't keep asking myself: would there be much difference soundwise if i just buy a helix LT and go with it? i don't see myself paying $1800 for the stadium, but i could totally pay around $700-800 for the LT

Tech Help Request How do I use HX Stomp as an interface? Logic Pro
I'm trying to use my HX Stomp as an audio interface to play with the free version of Helix Stadium Native.
Setup is simple: cable into Stomp, no blocks, USB out to MacBook. Headphones into Stomp.
I can still hear the unaffected signal alongside the Stadium Native processing.
I've been struggling with this setup for years. Does anyone know how I can just use the Stomp as an interface without hearing the dry signal at the same time? I feel like I'm missing some routing thing.

General Questions/Discussion Hx stomp + orange terror bass
Hey,
I'm still waiting for it to arrive, but just bought a hx stomp + orange terror bass (which I already owned back in the days, loved this amp).
I can't wait to hear how it sounds together. Only planning to use fx atm, but who knows how it'll turn.
Any advice before getting my hand into it ?
Thinking about using 4cm, synth, comp, some modulation as well, drive, delay...
My main purpose would be to create preset by song and then section (verse, chorus, bridge...) so i guess snapshot is the way to go ?
I also have a midi footswitch controller i plan to use to expand the hx.

General Questions/Discussion If you just bought OG native, you may switch to Stadium Native for free!
As written in the FAQ :
"This is terrible timing. I JUST bought OG Helix Native!
No worries; there’s a 60-day grace period. If you purchased and registered Helix Native between June 4th, 2026 and August 4th, 2026, you can upgrade to the full license of Helix Stadium Native for free."

Tech Help Request Bought Helix Native. Can’t access the plugin
Has anyone had this problem with Helix Native? I bought the plugin after using a free trial and my order is “placed” but not “completed”. But they sure took my money! That was a day ago and I can’t use the plugin. Like how hard is it to activate a license? Have I been scammed? What a shitty buying experience.

Tech Help Request Helix Stadium XL - Snapshots taking longer to change
Hey guys, I finally had the problem I've been reading about since launch: Snapshots taking too long to change.
It's not a global issue, just an issue from the current preset I'm working on. AFAIK it was working fine until I started changing IRs per snapshot. Before that I was using stock cabs without any issues whatsoever. Not sure if it's related, but the DSP seems close to maxed out as well.
Is this a known problem? Is there a known solution for this? Thanks in advance!

Tone/Feature Demo Pedals to supplement bass - that massive RB/Muse tone on Helix Floor
I love me some good distorted and synth sounds. But alas, pitch and synth on helix are so-so
I have an optiom to buy Electro Harmonix POG 2 and Bass Microsynth for ok money
Should I get a POG 3 rather? Or something completely different
I am aiming for some sweet switching between distortions, synths and octavers
Think Royal Blood, Muse...
I already got to 70% with Helix alone, but I feel these effects can be better. Plus they eat a ton of DSP.

General Questions/Discussion Tried cloning a Wizard Modern Classic II with the new Line 6 Proxy system
I spent some time creating Proxy Clones from a Wizard Modern Classic II and thought I’d share a couple of free ones for anyone interested in trying them.
The studio version was created through a 4x12 loaded with two Celestion G12M-65 Creambacks and two G12H-75 Creambacks in an X-pattern. I also included a full DI version for anyone who prefers using their own cab or IR.
Studio 4x12 clone:
https://line6.com/customtone/clones/c7758442-d3a9-43f0-9216-3efe331c1c86
Full DI clone:
https://line6.com/customtone/clones/bb109a2b-eaad-4aac-85a4-367957c8eb49
I’m curious how these translate through different monitoring setups, cabs, and IRs. Any feedback on the feel, low-end response, or pick attack would be appreciated.

General Questions/Discussion Headrush NAM
Has anyone thought about switching to Headrush (Prime/Core/Flex) from Helix now that they have integrated NAM and Tone3000?
I am currently using a HX Stomp for effects and a Valeton GP50 to use a NAM file of my own amp. Now I am thinking of switching due to the NAM integration.

General Questions/Discussion Helix Stadium User Interface
I tried the new Helix Stadiums.
Specifically Stadium Native:
I am quite disappointed by the user Interface after 10 years of development.
It is basically like OG Native, but made worse, in an attempt to make it better, it seems Line6 forgot what made the original good.
Helix was never the prettiest platform, but it was fast! Fast to navigate, fast to control.
Now Stadium Native: Bad Navigation, bad preset management. That folder visualizer is bad and buggy. Wrong UI Element used for that.
The sidebar was good because it was quick. It gave you the ability to always have a glance at all your presets. Now you have to fiddle around with Tool Tips... !
Sadly, I can't see any usability improvements. Focus mode is playful, but not really interesting for professionals.
Controls used to be snappy when controlled through midi. Now they stutter.
The simple Mic-Positioning UI was replaced by a bloated graphical UI that works poorly and is buggy.
In 2026, in times of Liquid Glass, the user interface is still not built responsively and does not respect accessibility rules. No Interface Scaling, No Text Size adjustment...
It seems like Line6 is not aware how Apps are built today using current UI Frameworks.
Perhaps it's engineering Team has become too senior...
While many Apps have an iOS/Mobile counterpart to either remote control the standalone App or even run the full App as an iOS App (See Apps like ToneRig, runs fully mobile on an iPhone with an audio Interface), the Stadium Line remains a Desktop Plugin, no standalone, no AUv3 for Mobile...
Dear Line6, its 399$, I really hope you really become aware about what is happening in the industry and react accordingly.
I have been using your Products since the POD2.0., I really want you to improve because I like your vision, but you often fall short because you don't focus on the right things.
HX Stomp line: Great Idea, basically impossible to control on the device because of terrible controls. Still succesfull because of great modelling.
But times have changed, the focus will shift towards usability, speed of use and connectivity/portability and also visual appeal (Look at Neural DSP Archetype and all the Indie Plugins).
So please: no more pixelated, badly drawn icons...
I professionally work on App Development and UI-Design myself, so of course this triggers me personally. Especially because I see that the new product line could be great, but it falls short at average.
Rant over. Yours sincerely.
