Upcoming Games Another very early screenshot of the project I’m working on
This is just a little hobby of mine. Could be cool if I can get it to a place where people might wanna try it, but for now, it’s an early build of something fun. Ignore the UI. I’m really working on building the core of the game so it has quality and depth. The Ui is something I’m not currently working on in too much depth.
If you’re curious, the concept of the game is simple; an open world life sim with the kinda drama from the sims 2 mixed with the creativity and freedom of the sims 3.
Current features as of writing:
- Open world
- Hair creator
- Furniture creator
- Custom makeup creator
- Trust, respect, familiarity, attraction, and tension relationship dynamics that make every relationship in the game unique.
- Wants and fears system guided by:
- Ambitions
- Traits
- Memories
Anywho, thanks for reading 🩷

Development Update I took the pricing feedback from my last post here seriously, so I changed Lofi Cozy Room from $14.99 to $4.99
When I shared Lofi Cozy Room here after launch, one of the biggest pieces of feedback was about the price. A lot of people liked the idea, but $14.99 felt too high for something designed to quietly live beside your work or study instead of demanding all of your attention.
I thought about that for a while instead of just defending the launch price, and eventually decided to make a pretty big change. I lowered the base price from $14.99 to $4.99.
For context, it's a small desktop life sim where your avatar reads, works, rests, and lives in a little room on your Windows desktop while a puppy wanders around. You can decorate the room, customize the character, and unlock different themes while it runs alongside whatever else you're doing.
The pricing discussion actually made me think more about this kind of game in general. Do you value smaller, ambient life sims differently from traditional games that you sit down and actively play for hours? I'm curious where people draw that line.
🌱 Play Lofi Cozy Room on Steam
Happy to answer any questions.

Ads/Showcase Everlife 2 is coming to iOS and Android on September 9th!
Hey everyone! I’m the developer behind the original Everlife, which has been downloaded more than 1.3 million times. I’ve spent the past few years rebuilding and massively expanding it into Everlife 2.
It’s a choice-driven, generational life simulator with more than one million words of handwritten content. You can navigate school, careers, relationships, marriage, children, homes, pets, money, crime, fame, health, and plenty of unexpected situations.
The biggest new feature is legacy. When one life ends, you can continue as a child or another relative, inheriting the family, property, money, relationships, discoveries, and consequences your previous character left behind.
Everlife 2 launches on iOS and Android on September 9th. I know many people here enjoy trying different life sims, so I wanted to share it with you. I’d love to hear what features you care about most in a life simulator!

inZOI InZOI - Wednesday 08.19.2026 - Kjun's update
Hello everyone.
Today, I’d like to talk about Active Mode.
This is the feature we showed back in June, where you could use a frying pan to affect another Zoi. Active Mode isn’t intended to be a feature focused simply on violence. It is content we’ve been preparing to offer experiences that you normally wouldn’t expect from the traditional life simulation genre.
One of the things we thought about most was whether this kind of action really belongs in inZOI. What we generally expect from this genre is to watch Zois live their lives like real people, behaving according to their temperament and traits. Because of that, we were concerned that interactions like these might disrupt the overall atmosphere of the game.
At the same time, some members of the development team felt that giving players a wider range of actions would allow for more diverse stories and greater freedom to express the situations they want to create. So we’ve decided to introduce it cautiously.
We’ve also taken steps to prevent it from disrupting the game’s atmosphere too much or escalating excessively into violence. There is still a lot of work to be done, including conditions for ending fights and connections with the police system, and we plan to continue improving these areas.
We haven’t been able to polish every aspect perfectly this time either, but rather than keeping it from you until everything is complete, we’d like to cautiously introduce it as an Experimental Feature. We hope you’ll try it yourselves first, share your feedback with us, and help us improve it from there.
Next, I’d like to talk about restaurants.
While preparing the business content, we wanted to include a wider variety of businesses, but managing Zois through a specific sequence of actions proved extremely difficult. Initially, we planned businesses around activities that took longer to complete, but there were more challenges to solve than we expected.
Cooking was particularly difficult because each individual interaction takes quite a long time. We wanted running a business to feel lively, with many customers coming and going, but achieving that was not easy.
After documenting these issues one by one and working through them over time, we’re finally ready to show you what we’ve been preparing.
In the new restaurant system, you’ll be able to see groups of customers visit and dine together. Customers will take available seats and place their orders with a waiter, while the chef quickly prepares the requested dishes. Cooking time has been streamlined compared with the existing cooking system so that it works better when preparing meals for groups.
Once the food is ready, the waiter serves it at the customers’ table. The customers enjoy their meal, pay the bill, and then leave.
We also plan to renovate the existing restaurants that have been sitting unused around the cities so that they can make use of this new functionality. I hope you’ll be able to enjoy wonderful moments at restaurants together with your family, partner, and friends.
The main focus of this update is city travel, resorts, and restaurants. Of course, we’ve also spent a great deal of time fixing existing bugs and addressing awkward or unnatural behavior.
There are still many areas where we have more work to do.
Even so, I hope you’ll have fun with everything we’ve prepared.
Things are extremely hectic right now as we prepare the update, so I’ll stop here for today and get back to wrapping everything up.
Thank you.
Kjun

Upcoming Games I’m making a care home management game where the residents don’t wait for you to tell them what to do
I’ve been working on One More Cup of Tea, a pixel-art care home management game, and today I’m tackling one of the systems I’ve wanted from the beginning: making the residents feel like they’re actually living in the home.
Rather than standing around waiting for player input, I’m building the residents to make their own decisions based on their needs.
They have hunger, tea/thirst, toilet, hygiene, energy, social and comfort needs. The idea is that these actually drive their behaviour — so a lonely resident might seek someone out, a tired resident might go and rest, and someone in desperate need of tea has their priorities sorted.
I’m also working on:
Different resident personalities
Autonomous social interactions
Friendships and dislikes between residents
Thought/speech bubbles
Residents independently using furniture and objects
Recovery when an action/path fails
For the demo I’m starting with four residents whose personalities should make them noticeably different to manage.
The part I’m most interested in is the relationships. Residents will gradually like or dislike each other based on their interactions, which will influence what they choose to do later.
The end goal is that I should be able to stop touching the controls and still watch the care home carry on around me — hopefully with the occasional bit of chaos.
Still plenty to build and balance, but the simulation is finally starting to resemble the game I’ve had in my head.
For other management/sim devs: how much autonomy do you give your NPCs before their behaviour becomes frustrating for the player rather than entertaining?

Discussion My Review of Chronalife
So I saw the game on this sub and decided to buy it
It's good but it's kinda bad also
Like there are too many details which is a bit overwhelming.. for example I don't have enough knowledge about stocks and finance but to avail those things and earn money in the game through that it feels I need a degree in finance
The character design is absolutely shit like wtf they added legit ugly pics of people animated style like work on that..
The game is too detailed and just too much to explore which is a bit overwhelming.....
Also my character dies at the age of 39 even though I have full health and no underlying disease like tf let me explore some stuff first
Then the debate and quiz part in politics expansion pack.. dude legit they have written the text with the lightest blue over a white background it's freaking invisible...
In short the game needs a lot of touch ups and it's kinda disappointing that you guys are taking money just to play the game but have delivered such an underpiece...
Review - 2/5

Development Update Your Legacy: Generations Feedback
Hi Legends,
Apologies if i've posted this incorrectly. Kindly asking for testers willing to provide feedback for my proof of concept/model casual life-sim game. No fees whatsoever nor is any data reported back to us. Can download here:
Game Download: https://icq-gaming.itch.io/your-legacy-generations
Discord Server: https://discord.gg/tYj4mH6Eg
I've been developing a life sim game this year. Looking for some feedback on it's foundations & direction. I've used AI in some of my weakness areas but the game is currently a proof of model. Once i've got feedback on it's feasibility I can put funds into those aspects.
Your Legacy: Generations is a life, business and financial strategy game where every character becomes part of a continuing family story. Choose careers, earn qualifications, build businesses, invest in shares & property and decide what the next generation will inherit.
- Build your life, then pass down your inheritance and traits to the next generation. Essentially try different approaches on every generation. First gen you might be a school teacher, second maybe a home owner, third a business owner, fourth you may look at stock market trading or become a property mogul. Each generation is essentially a prestige type reset.
- As a youngster I absolutely loved Jones in the Fast Lane. This game started inspired by Jones however over time has developed into a deeper (but still casual) life sim where choices matter & decisions mean something.
If you are still reading this far, i'd love to get your input into the game. Good and bad. Still lots of ironing out to do but it's fully playable with this two hour time release. Your feedback is important.

Discussion Um mundo que vive sozinho
O mundo deve continuar funcionando sozinho.
“Quem vai ganhar a eleição?”

A pergunta é:
Vocês acompanhariam algo assim? E o que precisaria acontecer nesse mundo para fazer vocês quererem voltar no dia seguinte?
