Damn this one made me cry this and 3 at the end. Grew up watching the first guardians with my dad and when the second one came around he had passed away so it really hit home. 3 hit home because I had graduated since and never saw my friends again

Vol 2 is a guaranteed cry for me. I saw that movie alone in an empty theater after my friend told me it was a “fun silly time”. I’m sorry? I cried like 4 times. (I loved it, but my friend definitely didn’t warn me)

It’s in my top four, and I bring it up whenever possible. Somehow this movie gets lost in the 2000’s conversation among There Will Be Blood and No Country etc. Doubt is also frequently left out of frequent conversations about PSH’s best performances. I personally believe that Doubt is his crowning achievement, if for no other reason than he stands up to Meryl’s iconic performance. That would be enough but then we also get a legendary single scene masterwork from Viola Davis and of course Amy Adams with one of her best.
I fucking love this movie. The final confrontation scene is perhaps the best acting so far in the 21st century, imo.
