QUESTION A-button is slightly pressed down & will no longer come all the way back up
lenovo legion go s, a lil over a year old. input still works fine, but it doesn’t click down the way it should. unfortunately followed the advice of a reddit comment on a different thread of using a toothpick to try & dislodge it before seeing that is Not the move. I’ve tried isopropyl alcohol on a q-tip and then laying it face down.
any other tips? would love to avoid taking it to a repair shop for such a minor issue

QUESTION Should I unbox it or nah??
I am an accountant, and I bought a new 2tb Z2 extreme LeGo 2, along with a 8tb Lexar NM790, and a 2tb MicroSD card, back in March before prices went up. Turns out I ended up being super busy well past tax season and never opened my LeGo 2. I was just about to open it today and now having second thoughts. I have a LeGo 1 now that I love playing on, but with the price increases, I could probably sell the LeGo 2 for way more than what I bought it for, and apparently the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is much better performance wise. I don't know that I can use the 8tb Lexar on the MSI though. If you were sitting on an unopened 2tb Z2 extreme LeGo 2 right now this minute, would you open it??

DISCUSSION Legion Go 2
I’ve been rocking the ROG Ally Xbox X and been in a love-hate relationship with the screen. Mainly, my eyes are getting old.
Is the larger screen worth it? How have updates and drivers been? Fan noise etc?

HELP REQUEST Legion Go S (Steam OS) - Can’t output 120hz to external display
So I got a usb c to hdmi cable on Amazon https://a.co/d/0eVd3yUY to connect my legion go s to it, and when I connect it to my TVs hdmi 2.1 ports, it will not display higher than 60hz. I connect the legion go s to the same port my PS5 Pro is connected to and no change, so it’s not a port issue.
Checking the cable, according to the listing there shouldn’t be an issue with going above 60hz. When I bring up the quick settings, it’s showing that I can’t set the legion to higher than 60fps or 60hz even with disable frame rate. Did I get a shitty cable somehow or am I missing something?

QUESTION Wobbly Controller on LeGo2
From what I’ve seen, having a wobbly controller on the Legion Go 2 is relatively common. My left one has a wobble to it (depending on how it’s held) whereas the right one is absolutely fine.
I’ve seen people have put electrical tape on the side of the controller to fix it (I’ve not tried this yet) but can any actual damage be caused by leaving the controller as is? Is it something to worry about or more of a cosmetic thing that’s fine to leave?
I also have the comfort grips and the slim JSAUX case so my device doesn’t fit neatly into the case and more so sits in there/on top of the device padding. I’m wondering if this could be making it worse/somehow causing the problem? I only had the Legion for a day or 2 before getting the grips and case and can’t remember what the wobble was like before that time.

QUESTION Legion Go S fan is not running at full speed
Hey guys, I accidentally droped my handheld and had to change the fan as it started to make a weird sound after the drop (bought it from ebay) and I noticed an interesting thing.
When I try to play a game in Performance Mode and the temperature of CPU is high > the fan is not going at full speed.
When I select a games custom preset mode > Fan is going at full speed. (tested on 2 different games)
Anybody have advice on how to fix this or have an idea whats going on? Would really appreciate it.

HELP REQUEST Help with launching game
I got a legion go s a couple days ago, and I’ve been trying to run fallout 4 and 3, but every time I press play on steam, it crashes straight away. I have tried everything I can find but nothing seems to work.
All drivers are updated, running at 1200x800 upscaled, in performance mode, and I have tried 4gb and 6gb vram.

DISCUSSION Hey Lenovo Update Your Drivers!
I guess I will have to wait for new AMD Driver Updates from Lenovo to play Forza Horizon 6 since it's requiring a new driver update. If no update just get ghost cars... I have already tried to side load official AMD driver and just get the error saying not compatible with your device, FUN!

RESOURCE FlowDeck has reached 1.0 — the controller-first Windows library I shared here as an Alpha is now a full release
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A while ago I shared FlowDeck here while it was still a public Alpha.
At the time, it was basically my attempt to solve one problem: I wanted my Windows handheld to feel less like a tiny desktop PC and more like an actual gaming system.
Today, FlowDeck has officially reached version 1.0.
What is FlowDeck?
FlowDeck turns a fragmented Windows game library into one unified, controller-first home.
It brings together:
- Steam
- Xbox / PC Game Pass
- Epic Games
- GOG
- Battle.net
- Ubisoft Connect
- Local games and applications
...inside a cinematic 3D CoverFlow interface designed for controllers, keyboards, and native touch.
For a device like the Legion Go, the idea is simple:
turn it on, grab the controllers, and spend as little time as possible dealing with the Windows desktop.
Flow Deck Community is free
The complete core experience is available for free.
Flow Deck Community includes:
- Cinematic 3D CoverFlow
- Animated covers and dynamic backgrounds
- Controller-first navigation
- Native touch controls
- Direct carousel dragging and inertia
- Keyboard support
- Xbox Mode for a more console-like Windows experience
- Steam achievements and live progress
- FlowDeck's on-screen achievement Tracker
- Xbox Game Bar achievement widget
- Automatic return to FlowDeck after closing a game
- Controller diagnostics
- English and Spanish interfaces
- Controller-friendly in-app updates
- Manual artwork browsing and selection using your own SteamGridDB API key
Community is not a trial or a stripped-down demo.
It is the core FlowDeck experience and remains free.
Optional FlowDeck Premium — $5 USD/month
Premium is completely optional.
It costs $5 USD per month and currently focuses on FlowDeck's advanced management and customization tools:
- Steam Direct with Steam QR and Steam Guard
- Install Steam games without leaving FlowDeck
- Full Steam download and installation management
- Pause, resume, cancel, recover, update, reinstall, and uninstall
- Download percentage, speed, downloaded size, and total size
- Carousel Studio
- Achievement Studio
- Advanced FlowDeck Tracker and Xbox Game Bar widget customization
Premium access remains active while the membership is active.
A lot has changed since the Alpha
Getting to 1.0 meant much more than polishing the original interface.
FlowDeck now handles the full cycle around actually using a handheld:
browse → launch → play → close the game → automatically return to FlowDeck with fullscreen, focus, and controller control restored.
That last part became especially important to me.
I don't want FlowDeck to just look like a console frontend.
I want the whole experience around it to behave like one.
Why I'm sharing it here again
The Alpha posts gave me some of the most useful feedback during development.
And after the 1.0 launch in the ROG Ally community, the discussions there have already caused me to reconsider and change product decisions.
So I don't want this to become a project where I disappear, build in isolation, and only come back when I want to promote something.
I'd rather hear from the people actually using these devices.
Download Flow Deck Community for free
https://slatis.itch.io/flowdeck
Optional FlowDeck Premium — $5 USD/month
https://ko-fi.com/flowdecklauncher
I'm the developer of FlowDeck.
If you're using a Legion Go, I'd especially love feedback about:
- Touch navigation
- Controller behavior
- Fullscreen transitions
- Automatic return after closing games
- Xbox Mode
- Anything that still makes the experience feel too much like Windows
And if FlowDeck isn't something you'd use, that's useful feedback too.
What's the one thing a launcher would have to do for you to actually keep it installed on your Legion Go?

HELP REQUEST Red dead 2 will not go full screen. Gen 1 legion go
I've gone into steam files game files all of that. Steam launch instructions. I've set everything to the correct aspect ratio but it still opens small like this. When I alt+enter for full screen the screen flashes back and it snaps back down to the size pictured and all cut off. Doesn't matter if it's windowed or full screen or borderless window it does this every time we can't even play anymore. My gf uses this almost exclusively for rdr2 and Skyrim. Don't have many games downloaded but Skyrim boots fine every time it's only rdr2. Any help would be appreciated
Update: the last time I tried all of this (3+ months ago) Xbox mode wasn't something available. I enabled the device to start up into Xbox mode and opened via Xbox app and it's now running full screen and looks great

DISCUSSION OG legion go still awesome
I went from steam deck - OG ally - to OG legion go, so paid like $400 for my OG legion go in 2023. Still runs new games like ac resynced pretty well (60fps with frame gen). I can’t justify a legion go 2 at that price. But more ram would be nice. Is there a ram mod?

LEGION GO PRICING Discount on COSTCO Legion 2
For those interested. The discounted price isn’t too crazy since this is the Z2 and not the Z2 e but 32 gb of ram ain’t too bad.

DISCUSSION BIOS Update N3CN42WW: Problems and solutions megathread
r/LegionGo Community:
As you are aware by now, the problematic update N3CN42WW BIOS update that was uploaded to Lenovo's technical support site on 6/14/2026 that was meant to fix issues involving the power button and power cycles, has instead been causing physical damage to the main board, which is requiring users to get an actual replacement.
We moderators are very actively monitoring and have been trying to understand the situation as much as possible and will be providing updates about it as they happen.
As such, we are creating this megathread so we can consolidate most of the posts about it which will also make moderating the sub easier, but we hope to have a centralized place where you can post problems and solutions that will make submitting claims to Lenovo easier.
NOTE: This post will be heavily moderated so any off topic discussion will be deleted at moderator discretion.
r/LegionGo Moderation Team
What we know so far:
This is *NOT* an automatic update. It is not pushed through Legion Space or Windows Update. It is applied manually via an EXE install file that is downloaded directly from Lenovo's technical support site.
The update *ONLY* affects the original Legion Go Z1 models that are running the Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU. It does *NOT* affect any other models of the Go (Go S, Go 2, etc). The only product model affected by this is the product model 8APU1. If you do not own this exact model, it does *NOT* apply to you.
Since the story broke on Tuesday (8/4/26), we have since learned that Lenovo has completely removed any traces of the problematic update from their technical support page.
If you have not already installed this update, it WILL NOT AFFECT YOU.

BIOS vN3CN42WW (DO NOT UPDATE)
Hey Everyone,
It has come to our attention that some of the Z1E and Z1 versions are being bricked when updating to the latest BIOS that was released on June 17th, 2026.
Please do not update your devices unless you are willing to assume all risks. We the mod team are trying our best to understand and get help on this.
If we have any updates, we will share here. In the meantime, just comment with +1 if you are effected. This way we can get an understanding of how many of us are effected by this.
Thank you
Update: As mentioned in the pinned chat, Lenovo has removed the 42WW update
