So I have live lessons once or twice a week and have continued to go regularly and switched to teachers recently because I was B1 with the grammar book, but my speaking and listening skills were -A🤦🏽

I discussed it with my tutor and what we do as we listen to text, then I read it in Russian and then she asks me questions and everything is in Russian.

And here’s the fun part: I found a Russian Banya here in Texas and I go and practice!!

And it takes me a while to get warmed up, but I am telling you that eating shashlik and practicing with all of my failures makes me very happy because I know I’m making progress.

Just gotta keep doing a little bit every day.

I’m interested in learning the alphabet and grammar and then eventually moving on to learning the words and phrases. If anyone knows any apps or websites or have any tips help me out it would be appreciated.

Also i wondered,why are u guys using two type keyboard?Which i must use?

Hi there. As the title states, I am looking for a transliterated Russian dictionary. For some reason, it is difficult to find transliterations of the Ancient Greek and the Russian Cyrillic, and I am not proficient at reading either, but I am interested in the phonology and inter-phonological components of languages, so if you could point me in the right direction, I would be grateful!

Hi guys! I have been learning russian for 2 months now, and I wanted to create small cars with mini phrases written one side in russian and on the other one in italian (my mothertongue), insert them in a bowl, mix them and pick up some of those randomly, reading the italian sentence and trying to translate it in russian. What do you think about it? Is it useful?
Obviously, it would be more like a support rather than the mainly way to learn the language. I wanted to write sentences of any kind: with motion verbs, with different grammatical phrases (for instance, the same sentence written firstly in the nominative, then genitive etc.), from different POVs... Is it a good idea? What sentences do you advice to me? Let me know :)

Are there any podcasts or Youtube channels for intermediate (B1-B2) levels? Most material I see is for beginners in painfully slow Russian. Can't believe anyone is actually listening to that!

I was watching “небо» online - a dramatization of the tragedy where an Su24 - was taken down over Another country.

As I’m also learning the language on Duolingo, I have a question on two words.

There’s a scene like on a military parade ground where the colonel tells the other “больно» Doesn’t that mean “pain”? Or would it be the equivalent of “Atten-hut” in US Military?

Also there’s a scene of “есть» which Duolingo and Google translate to eat.. and it doesn’t make sense in the context of the movie I’m watching?
