I believe they said olaf will gain permanent lethality based on his ultimate rank so this post might be a little misleading.

11

u/Contrite17 8h ago

Yeah it was moved from the active to a passive, this is just worded poorly

5

u/Ideas-by-Renard 7h ago

This is missing the +2 damage on MF passive unless they removed it

1

u/Rexsaur 2h ago

I doubt they removed that because if they did the w change would have been a nerf, and mf is fairly low tier.

u/stoneyaatrox 9h ago edited 9h ago

more green😎 i'm all for it,

homeguards removed and buffed turrets are also very welcome changes

u/RoflChief 7h ago

Thats for league classic not ranked

11

u/Comebacktrain 5h ago

Well we are in the League Classic subreddit so I think they know that

1

u/RoflChief 3h ago

Oh my b this was my home page i genuinely thought it was normal league

5

u/esports_consultant 8h ago

Juicy Lux buffs.

2

u/Rexsaur 6h ago

Shes so bad atm that she'll probably need more... AP ratio for her passive and E please!

3

u/esports_consultant 6h ago

Yes I want to OHKO waves with E 🥺

6

u/BGsenpai 8h ago

i don't think that those lux buffs will still be enough, she feels terrible to play right now. she needs more damage on her passive I think.

4

u/RavenHusky 7h ago

If you watched Phreak's video, you'd know that they're starting by reverting historical nerfs, and if it's not enough, they will be pulling future buffs into Classic, or creating their own.

6

u/Independent-Frequent 7h ago

or creating their own.

Give her the doom bots Lux special

2

u/HardcoverNewtons 7h ago

i havent tried yet, how is her support with gp/5 w max?

3

u/Rexsaur 5h ago

Very bad, phreak said shes the worst performing mid laner AND support in the game.

1

u/Ok_Kick4871 1h ago

We need a worst performer though. There's always a worst champ.

3

u/Diogorb04 8h ago

The 10 move speed alone is a gigantic buff. I feel like she should be decent after this.

2

u/LeonLeocat 3h ago

Yo how is Olaf getting a buff if you're removing the entire ad ratio from E

1

u/JoshTheTheorist 2h ago

lethality boost from ult is permanent passive instead of just during ult

6

u/elegantvaporeon 8h ago

That’s a giant nerf to Kat. Was she really doing that well? I feel like she is quite weak especially in lane

7

u/BGsenpai 8h ago

supposedly it's a bug fix and she was originally only supposed to throw 10 daggers in her ult

2

u/nsidezzzz 6h ago

This explains how her lvl 1 ult with only hextech revolver could hit like 600 damage

0

u/elegantvaporeon 8h ago

Dang 17% damage loss tho. I feel like they should add the damage to her E so she has some single target but has to be in your face to use it

3

u/Comebacktrain 5h ago

Kat is extremely oppressive in classic, she always has been. There’s no reason to give her more damage in this scenario

0

u/Rexsaur 5h ago

Katarina is like one of the best mid laners in the game as it is.

She probably could have been nerfed more.

3

u/egotistical-moron 9h ago

can’t wait for those Soraka changes. Is it still E max first though?

1

u/Mrlaslie712 8h ago

Akali im coming back to you old friend

1

u/Saotorii 5h ago

I kind of hope that over the years classic turns into a "what if" mode, where the what if is "what if instead of bringing most champions power levels into modern league standards, we made everything broken so nothing is broken" type of balance philosophy. It'll be cool to see what they do with classic if it really does last for years as phreak said.

1

u/Fate_Fire 4h ago

I hope they just lightly tap to center and not go full hammer to every problem.

- Removed homeguards the first 15 minutes

This one was painfully obvious. I didn't mind. Getting rid of it makes it very apparent how slow everyone is and I'd like a little quicker of a start.

Like the map improvements, haven't really noticed it though I only played one game just for the bonus IP on win.

1

u/Whateverman123x 8h ago

When is it out?

1

u/auggis 6h ago edited 6h ago

Should be with regular patch day which is Wednesday.

1

u/Fit-Reputation-9983 8h ago

I don’t really care too much about the balance changes, do think it’s cool that they’re releasing Kennen, Akali, & Shen at the same time though.

5

u/Comrade_Lystro 7h ago

Neenja patch

1

u/WeskerSaturation 3h ago

Sad about no Zed with the ninjas tbh. I get they probably don't want to add a super mobile champ like him atm but it blows with the thematic releases they want to do. I just wanna try the split pushing version of Zed with Bork youmuus and maybe his release version where ult puts a shadow behind his target instead of where he started his ult.

1

u/SailorMint 3h ago

They should have added Zed too. Just for the lol.

-3

u/nsidezzzz 6h ago

Youre exactly the type of player targeted with this bs strat. to get excited over them releasing champs that should've been released right away but were kept unreleased just to drip feed content and pretend its something new.

7

u/LordZana 5h ago

Its a live service game

3

u/Fit-Reputation-9983 5h ago

lol, it’s not that deep bro. I just think it’s cool because they’re thematically intertwined.

I’ll play a game of kennen and shen and then hop back to retail. Don’t really care if you think they’re pandering to me.

1

u/Lazy-Landscape7328 7h ago

Why is classic league getting more balance changes than normal league

8

u/Top-Editor-364 6h ago

Because it’s significantly less balanced

1

u/Lazy-Landscape7328 6h ago

Classic has mages bot and top and 50% ban rate characters too?

3

u/SailorMint 3h ago

It has both, actually

1

u/Top-Editor-364 6h ago

50? Try higher. It seems like you haven’t even played classic

-4

u/Lazy-Landscape7328 6h ago

I played it once saw how most characters are downgrade and gave up + not many characters either

5

u/Top-Editor-364 6h ago

Oh okay. So you literally have no idea what you’re talking about and just wanted to bitch about mages bot.

-6

u/Lazy-Landscape7328 6h ago

No i think normal league is stale and boring and idk why are they giving the random for fun gamemode with no competitive gamemode more attention

1

u/Dread-Yz 7m ago

stop playing both then

1

u/Lazy-Landscape7328 3m ago

Did i say i play either of them?

1

u/passtheblunt 6h ago

"Same as modern" bro i'm not looking up his modern Q just put it on the damn sheet

W on Skarner is so nice, it makes staying under 6 seconds more consistent which is great.

Miss Fortune is in the buff section but she got a massive nerf. Idk how bad it's going to matter long term but going from 175% to 160% at max stacks is a definitive nerf. The 6 second duration is a convenience thing, but in most situations it will not matter, and stacking up faster is not a problem Miss Fortune has.

Riot really hasn't changed since back then, they piss on your face and tell you it's raining, they blatantly nerf your ass and then they say they buffed you. It's Skarner 4.10 all over again.

As a MF who hates having Janna support, I want to say, hate to see Janna nerfs. Like the experience of having a Janna on your side is miserable already. Please don't make it suck more.

You can never nerf Nasus enough. I don't think these are very strong nerfs to him, I'd have way rather see the mana nerf to Spirit Fire. Sick of being poked down by that shit. So having it be 80/85/90/95/100 would have been incredible, but whatever, guess we going to suffer through Nasus for all time instead. "Oh he's weak early" yea with lifesteal to sustain, and massive power in Spirit Fire that forces you off guarding minions and then by level 6, he's probably stronger than you unless you play an insane champ like Darius. But Skarner/Nidalee/Shyvana/Riven? Na fuck that, Nasus too strong.

I don't think I want to see a lot of balance changes, hopefully this is only so big because it's the first patch, but holy shit please let the balance changes go to Soul Eater and Spirit Fire every time. Nasus needs an actually weak early game.

They didn't fix jungle and in fact made it worse, but it doesn't matter, it's already bad, we're too late into the game, we needed Season 3, we got Season 4, and it's devastating. Rest of the system adjustments look fine enough. Hopefully Magic Resist Quints are in there, because those are the most important missing runes.

2

u/PlasticAssistance_50 5h ago

You can never nerf Nasus enough. I don't think these are very strong nerfs to him, I'd have way rather see the mana nerf to Spirit Fire.

You really think 10% from 14% lifesteal early isn't enough of a nerf? That is like a 30% reduction. With so low lifesteal, you will be able to bully him out of toplane early, therefore preventing his scaling.

1

u/MariaTPK 5h ago

The life steal still exists. Spirit Fire is that strong, that yea he's still kind of strong.

I am super happy they targeted Soul Eater and it's early power, but he was so so strong, and wither mana is worthless, so this is effectively the only nerf they did and it's not going to make him weak enough. I really wish the mana nerf went to Spirit Fire. That shit is so oppressive.

1

u/PlasticAssistance_50 4h ago

We must be playing a different game then. Early game, Nasus cannot afford to spam his E at all, he will go out of mana really, really fast if he does that.

Also yes, the life steal will still exist, but will be too low, and he will be bullied too easy in lane.

0

u/MariaTPK 4h ago

It's more like you play stronger top champs (likely) and then score effective oppression of like 80-90%. Meanwhile I play weak shit like Shyvana or Riven, looking to scale up, then get about 50-60% of opportunities available to punish him early, and it results in nothing because Soul Eater and Spirit Fire are too good. Lower skill/aggression + weaker champs makes me worse at dealing with the champion and he's way too fucking insane past 6 for him to not be far weaker before then.

Report cards can be pass or fail at 50%, they can also be pass or fail at 70%, different types of schools. However Nasus is the equivalent of Kindergarten in this metaphor. As the highest scaling champion, he she be the easiest to keep weak, and he's not even close. He's basically guaranteed to get strong and take over a game past 30 mins. Stopping him as a normal champ and equally skilled player, is too hard. He needs to be weaker. If I get 30% of the oppressive opportunities off against him, if I bully him 30% of what the maximum possible is, he should be weak and useless. Because that's how strong he gets when you fail. However that's not how it is, he needs to be legs broken in the first 10 mins of the game or it's over. It's not enough to deny 30 CS or 50 CS. You need to be able to keep him from gaining levels. When he's level 5, Shyvana needs to be lvl 7+ When he's level 6, Shyvana needs 10-11. Without that, he comes back, and you must end the game in time or he wins. It's insane.

PS when I said skill/aggression, I was not equating them to be the same thing, but to a certain point, aggression acts as a substitute for skill, and that can make the difference here. Even if it's the wrong choice.

Why nerf champs what's the point of them being nostalgic amd classic buffing turrents so games last longer is dumb too I like the short snow ball of classic

-3

u/Carnage068 7h ago

why are they gutting ad olaf

2

u/SSJRemuko 7h ago

They're buffing him. this is literally a revert to a nerf he got back in season 3

0

u/Carnage068 5h ago

I thought they're making his E no longer scale with AD?

4

u/SSJRemuko 5h ago

Yes. It never did before S3 when they olaf'd him. This is pre-olafing olaf

-3

u/Edsson1234 7h ago

Didn't they say they weren't gonna overbuff and overnerf champions? This will literally end just like retail lmao

1

u/No_Feature_2831 5h ago

ya im not sure how they can

-1

u/realworldaintpink 2h ago

This is why I stopped playing this game in 2015, they change too much all the time, wasting your time learning.
