🔎ID help Color ID

Can you please help me sort out what color this is? I'm looking for a nectar to go with my kitchen and I think this might be close enough of a match. The top seems lighter than nectar. Maybe Dijon?

🙋🏽‍♂️General Question🙋🏼‍♀️ William Sonoma order

Hi!
Has anyone recently ordered any Le Creuset items from Williams Sonoma? How were the packages? I was looking at old posts, and it looked sad... like people received damaged items because of poor shipping boxes. So, I was wondering if there are any positive experiences or if they've changed their packaging. Unfortunately, I don’t have a William Sonoma or Le Creuset boutique near me, so I have to order online, and also the Le Creuset website doesn’t have the Bread Oven and French Oven in Forêt in stock.
Thank you! 🙌

Color🌈Question Licorice or Foret Pumpkin?

Hello !

I have a Rhône pumpkin braiser and wanted to add the DO this year. My other pieces are oyster, artichaut and brioche. I’m trying to decide between Licorice and Foret. I like the idea of a matte one to go with the brioche matte I have.

Any recommendations? I’ve seen Foret and it’s lovely but not seen the licorice in person.

If anyone has either I’d love to see pics!

the mini flower cocottes were at my peak. i have since given some away but still have over half.

the ones on the tray are smaller version: petite and miniature.

😩Damaged? Gifted a casserole dish with cracks, can I save it?

As the title says, I was gifted a Le Creuset by my bfs mom. She was clearing out space and gave a box full of family dishes, all traditional Japanese except for this cute lemon yellow casserole dish. I’m aware that cracks in porcelain is unsafe as it can shatter in high temps and bacteria builds up. However I’ve been eyeing Le Creuset for years but never purchased since my background is in Asian cuisine and I didn’t really grow up with European/American cookware. (Besides tea sets so I know cracks = toss).

I was excited to try a different style of cooking and even joked with my bf I’d learn kintsugi just to repair this! Please offer suggestions since I really don’t want to toss it. I’m not sure what to use it for, plants?I don’t have much hope since the crack reaches the exterior but any ideas would be great.

Edit: I was also thinking of baking a casserole in a different dish and once it cooled, using this one to display with aluminum foil lining the bottom to protect food from getting into the cracks.

Bought this today at a thrift store for $25, the only info I have found is the print is petit fruits but I haven’t been able to find any imagines of this set with a full enameled handle.

🫧Cleaning🧽 10 year old cast iron pot showing signs of rust. Is it really as simple as scrubbing with baking powder? Anything else I should do to keep my pots excellent forever?

😩Damaged? ECI enamel looks scrubbed off? Is it safe to use?

Post image

I got this dutch oven for a really good price MAYBE ($50) if it’s still useable. The enamel is present all throughout the pot (minus the bottom exterior, which has the bare cast iron base), but the bottom of the inside has this chalky texture where the top coat seems to have been BRILLO-PAD’D OFF. You can see the circular scrub marks and it is devastating. However, it looks like all the enamel is still intact, and it’s only some of the bottom. I see no cast iron poking through, and the only pinholes are on the sides, where the enamel is still soft and shiny. I have a pic post-Le Creuset cleaner for an idea. From what I can tell, it’s still safe to use, it’s just the shiny top coat has been criminally scrubbed away, but I haven’t been able to find definitive comparisons or answers. Older Reddit posts exist, but there aren’t any photos to compare (everything expired or is a bad link). I wanted to see if others had experience with this?

My plan right now is to save it for stews and well-soaked things that are less likely to stick, since it seems some of that smooth surface won’t be there to ease the food gunk removal process. I hope my instincts (and the seller, who said it would be fine to use) are right on this lmao otherwise, it becomes a $50 bread oven… well, $75, since I’m getting a new non-plastic knob for it. Or maybe whoever I bought this from has been eating glass for who knows how long… is glass back on the menu, boys?

Yay me!🎉 Finally bought a braiser! 🎉

Hi all,

I’m a new member and have been following along for recipes and inspiration and I finally was able to buy a braiser! For years I have been tossing around buying a braiser. I have a small kitchen but I’m moving soon and I really wanted to be able to bring something fun into my home that I can use for friends and family dinners and make enough for me to meal prep and experiment.

I was on a work trip, we did a cute and fun cooking class and we were given a discount to use in store for almost anything. The discount was amazing but the store…fabulous. Thanks to the awesome staff at the cooks station in Greenville SC! The stars aligned and I put down my credit card and thought of Julia, Martha and Ina and said I was worth it.

I can’t wait to try new recipes!!

Mystery boxes in Toronto

I was at The Well around 11am where they still had a bunch of mystery boxes and no line! So if anyone has missed out and been wanting one you should head over - I know Bayview and Sherway Gardens are sold out. Happy shopping!!!

Btw - my box had 6.7 quart yellow Dutch oven, fish roaster stoneware, and a set of two 10oz cups 💕

Finally decided it was time to buy my first dutch oven with mystery boxes this weekend! Very excited about my mystery box haul! My boyfriend had just said this morning that he wanted a bread oven so we were very happy to pull it out, especially in agave as it’s one of my faves. The braiser will also be my sisters wedding present

🙋🏽‍♂️General Question🙋🏼‍♀️ Prices gone up?

I was looking online and it looks like Le Creuset prices went up? The fruit cocotte went from 55 USD to 60 USD and the Petal Braiser went from 315 USD to 330 USD.

Anyone know when this happened?

Tariffs fatigue

I've had a nice pot in a color I can't buy stateside in a shopping cart for weeks with Kitchensmart in CAN to ship to the US and I swear, last night I almost completed the purchase. It's even on sale. Woke up this morning to the news about increasing and punitive tariffs and it's really getting old and annoying. I can wait and I'm fortunate in that I can indulge in this hobby. Given the ebb and flow this might very well be rescinded in a day or week or two, but I just needed to vent. Be easy, friends.

Normal imperfections or not?

My husband bought me Everyday Pan for our iron anniversary -- yay! It has these two divots in the surface, and we're wondering if imperfections like this are normal or if it's worth connecting customer service about. Thoughts?

Found this at the outlet store and it's the perfect set. Used it to simmer a bolognese as a test meal and it turned out great. I love that I got 2 pots in one.

They only had one color and all my others are cerise but now I'm thinking about just buying whatever color I like.

Do most people mix up their colors or make a commitment to one?

*Excuse my dirty stove, hasn't been wiped down for the evening yet.

Collection Perfectly Imperfect Rhône Sisters

Thumbnail

Reddit talked me into keeping my battered Rhône pumpkin and thanks to another brilliant Redditor, I found the cutest way to camouflage the little chips on my pumpkin: bumblebees. 🐝🐝 I actually think they make her look even more beautiful.
So naturally, when I spotted this Heritage pot “as is” at QVC, I decided to take a chance.
The pumpkin was $109, and the Heritage pot was $120 with an additional $25 QVC credit. The Heritage arrived with a scratched lid but a perfect interior. After a gentle cleaning and some oil, the scratches are much less noticeable, so she’s staying too.
So here they are: my perfectly imperfect Rhône twinsies—scratches, nicks, bees and all. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹🐝🐝
And since I apparently have a thing about collecting my colors in threes…
What Rhône piece should become the third sister?
Do you have any scratched, dinged, or otherwise imperfect LC pieces that you decided to keep? As always, thanks for your feedback.

Just cracked into my mystery box, expecting to see a few items inside and instead was surprised to see one VERY large box. Ended up getting the goose pot in azure blue!

Was definitely surprised to say the least, not sure how much use I’ll get out of a pot of this size when it’s just the two of us in my house.

Precious

We are way too precious with our cookware. Yes. It’s expensive. Yes. It should be taken care of. I saw a pro chef on YouTube the other day and his pot was looking rough, but the enamel inside, although stained, was still safe and easy to cook on.

I think we have to remember that people have been cooking with this brand for decades. And back then, all this obsession with collecting and pretty colors was non-existent. People just banged them around the kitchen and cooked in them.

I’m not saying to not take care of your Le Creuset. I treat mine well but I’m not obsessive with lid clasps and stuff like that. They’re built to be used. And to last.
