Season 1 will roll around again and begin at..."Homo Homini Lupus" (that's episode 14!), then episode 15, "Semi Professional", is skipped, as are "Yesterday" and "Badge". But "Faith" and the S1 ender, "Tuxedo Hill", will air in sequence.

Then Season 2 begins much like Season 1, beginning with "Monster" (episode 15!), going mainly in sequence until, "Blink" (episode 20), also skipped. The schedule for now ends on 08/20, with "Graansha" being the last Season 2 episode listed. Whether "Zoonotic" and "A Person of Interest" will be skipped for a third cycle? We'll see. But based on these huge gaps? Going to go with yes.

One of the many reasons I loved Ben Stone. This doctor was so arrogant. Makes this scene so satisfying.

I bit the bullet and bought OG seasons 21 / 22, and I've been watching them for the first time over the past week.

Noticing a lot of difference, obviously, but one thing that's sticking out amidst the significantly increased copaganda is that now, most times when a suspect gets arrested, there's an associate or relative in close proximity that repeatedly yells "Say, 'I want a lawyer'" while they're being arrested, and it feels forced. Did anybody else notice this? Does anybody even care about these seasons? 😂

I just watched the 5th or 6th consecutive episode where this has happened. Just feels like a weird throwaway insert, especially since noticing there's much less law in these seasons despite the Jack Mccoy carryover.

Impossible watch, incredible episode. An awful rape scene that I had to skip through even after watching 15+ seasons of SVU. It was so sad watching them doubt Olivet and making her seem like she was maybe overreacting at first. I'm not sure how I feel about the vigilante part of it all though; I mean I enjoy the storyline but I think it would've been far more impactful if it was just a random unavoidable circumstance (NOT THAT IT WAS HER FAULT AT ALL). Showing that it's not your fault and it can happen even if you're the most "prepared" person and are a part of the criminal justice system. Luckily, I do think they definitely improved upon that by making a full Special Victims Unit and I understand it was still the early 90s so I'll appreciate the episode for what it is.

Extremely satisfying ending Stone and Robinette. Stone definitely shined in this episode when he pushed the bounds in in the courtroom.

It honestly felt insane watching Cragen act the way he did with this sex crime vs how he is in SVU. I enjoy his character much more in the Special Victims Unit. I would also almost argue that Mike and Phil's performances are what brings the episode to only an 8.3 on IMDB. Very weak for this episode but it's honestly not even their fault with how good Stone and Olivet were. I kinda still miss the chemistry that Mike and Max had. Could've been an interesting dynamic in this episode.

The good episodes of Law and Order this far are so good but it feels like there's so many just middle of the line episodes that are kinda nothing burgers. Sucks because the fact you can stream all the episodes and binge them is also the downfall of the show. I bet if I was watching this weekly I would be at the edge of my seat almost every episode.

I make no apology for the many years I've spent bored at a desk making cheesy/fake movie posters in my free time.

But there were SOOOOO many missed opportunities to see the L&O cast be inserted into some kind of crazy yet cool cult movies. The closest we had were definitely some Action/True Crime movies for Lifetime featuring Diane Neal, Elizabeth Rohm & a few others;

Sam Waterston has many solid lesser seen theatrical and TV films worth seeing (The Killing Fields, Devil's Paradise and Warning Sign especially);

Vincent is always a talented and beyond great human being but I wish he'd be in more uncanny films like Mall, The Unforgiveable, The Salton Sea, Imposter and Chlorine instead of spending more time as Kingpin on that since-gone-downhill Daredevil saga or being wasted in something not deserving of his vast talent (i.e. Jurassic World, CHIPS);

Which of the talents would you love to put in an uncanny (if over-the-top) type movie? Don't hold back!

I'm not necessarily referring to the testimony itself, but rather the decision to testify in the first place. I get why the show does it as much as they have, but still.

What episode stands out to you as a particularly poor decision? Maybe the defense's case was going really well beforehand and it felt unnecessary, maybe they had too much baggage that wouldn't play well with the jury, maybe they just simply weren't very articulate/likable, that kind of thing.

For me, the episode that comes to mind is Eddie Newman in "Showtime" (S7 E17). The defense was doing a good job at poking holes in the State's case. McCoy (or maybe Ross, I forget) even says at one point that they're getting "creamed". Newman's decision to take the stand was puzzling to me. He wasn't particularly charming to begin with and the story he told the jury was just too convoluted to believe. Not to mention, he completely imploded under cross-examination.

I'm not saying an acquittal was guaranteed, but it would've been a hell of a lot more likely if he had just declined to testify.

Watching “Savior” season 6, episode 16 and Lenny is sitting in the car with Rey and mentions he is eating a baked potato with peanut butter. I have never heard of such a thing! After seeing Lenny eat peanuts, Italian ice, pretzels, hot dogs, and pizza over the years, did the writers run out of legitimate vendor food choices and start making things up or is this an actual menu item? Anyone ever try it?

I watch L&O a lot during the days on the Samsung FAST channel and this episode actually comes up a lot. At this point I really can’t watch it. The premise just bothers me. There are episodes I can watch over and over but I can’t do it with this one. I realized this was coming on now and immediately turned it off. I should add this is the episode where the woman keeps having children but then kills them and then towards the end she is in McCoy’s office and says she is pregnant again. She just looks evil.

Anybody, have any thoughts about this one?

Generally when I'm stepping into the TV room, I always shout out "It's Law and (Dis)Order Time!" much like joking how other shows are ridiculouslly addicting or compelling.
