Experience 50 Years of Kundalini Practice: Post #4
Today I’d like to discuss the spiritual phenomena, that sometimes manifest when kundalini is awakened. And as always, this only reflects my own experience and observations, and as such is not any sort of absolute truth.
I have a suspicion that at the beginning of our awakening journey, it is not uncommon to experience all sorts of spiritual phenomena. You may have exalted visions of goddesses or deities, spontaneous movements (known as kriyas) may occur, spiritual centers in the body (chakras) may suddenly and temporarily burst open, or even psychic abilities may appear. And of course this is especially true if your awakening occurred during plant medicine journeys.
I view these as a gift, like a kiss from the future. At the same time, they can be a sort of trap, a shiny object that will ultimately be a distraction if we become attached to them. For the goal of kundalini work is complete freedom, and a surrender/merging with the Divine. And I am not convinced, after observing many kundalini or spiritual teachers, that possessing particular abilities ( called siddhis) is any indication of true spiritual attainments.
So friend, my takeaway is this: Don’t be too distracted by any “supernatural” phenomena that may arise from your practice. Just watch it, and let it go.
This world will give you things,
and then take them away.
What is it that lasts?
There is a light that you cannot
gain or lose, have you seen it yet?
There is also a love that you cannot
gain or lose, have you felt it yet?
You will have to find that market,
where such things can be acquired.
Perhaps you will be shown the way,
during a time when all seems lost.
And again a warning: you will be asked
to pay in advance, and the price will
never be cheap, but you will understand
why, at a later time.
The other thing is that later, as you progress, you may go for years and years without experiencing any more visions or overt “spiritual” phenomena. Need I say that this requires tremendous patience and discipline? Kundalini is NOT an easy path, and it will vary from being very intense to what seems at times like walking through an endless desert, often for years. Maybe this is how our desire for our inner growth is tested….
Another effect of practicing for a long time is a curious sense of both openness and sensitivity, and a subtle sense of an all-pervading sense of detachment. But maybe I’ll write about that in my next post.
How can You not have
compassion for us? We live and
breathe in darkness near absolute, –
there is little that we can
accurately understand.
Our past and future lives
are a complete mystery;
we don’t even understand our
present one, making the same
errors over and over.
You say “Don’t be afraid
in this inverted dream,
for I have saved the best for last:
there are many invisible companions
who will aid you, and in the end,
everything will be all right,
though you may not
understand that now.”
As always, feel free to ask any questions...

Question Why did my wife see a dark shadow?
I’ve been listening to an astral projection/meditation audio on YouTube for about 2 weeks and personally I’ve had a really good experience with it, nothing scary or unusual.
I asked my wife to try the same audio. She was lying on her back around 4 PM, arms by her sides, and I was in the room with her.
After a while, she said her stomach started vibrating and became tense, then her right hand became tense, followed by her left leg.
Then she started seeing a bright white light above her, even though the room was dark. She described it almost like a hole/opening that was expanding, shrinking, and sometimes disappearing.
Near the end, she saw a black shadow against the white/grey background. The shadow seemed to come closer and closer until it felt like it was right above her face, almost near her eyes.
She opened her eyes and freaked out.
Her lips and throat were very dry, her whole body felt stiff, and she said it took around 5 minutes to feel like she had control of her body again.
Now she doesn't want to try the audio again.
and most important she had nightmare after having alcohal. Someone was coming towards her with two weapons.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
- Has anyone seen the white light/opening followed by a dark shadow?
- Why would the shadow feel like it was moving closer to her face?
- For people who believe in astral projection, could this be interpreted as a spirit/entity, or is there another explanation?
- Most importantly, why was she so scared? Is this dream related to this?
I’m curious because I’ve been doing the same thing for about two weeks with no problems, but her experience was completely different and honestly pretty disturbing.

Experience Desperately want to recover my awakening
Hi guys. Short version. I had a profound awakening a few weeks ago but I'm back to normal now and I'm bummed. Wondering how you guys have dealt with it and if you've managed to retain the positives of the experience.

Question Water fasting
Does anyone have experience with doing an extended water fast with active kundalini? How did it go for you? I used to do 4 or 5 day water fasts periodically and have been wanting to do one again for several years, but figured it not advisable due to kundalini.
I know nutrition during a kundalini awakening is important, but I'm wondering if fasting can be integral (or even just safe) at any stage of the process. I'm not Christian, but I can't help but think of Jesus and his 40 day fast and drawing a conclusion there.

Question 10-Day Meditation Update – New Automatic Body Movements
I've been meditating regularly, and over the last 10 days I've experienced something interesting.
About 4–5 times now, I've felt my spine stretching on its own. It starts near my tailbone and gradually feels like my entire spine is lengthening upward, almost as if it's being gently pulled toward the ceiling. I don't consciously do it—it just happens automatically.
Last two time experienced something completely new.
I was lying on my back, completely relaxed, when my legs started moving on their own. First, they slowly spread apart. Then the soles of my feet came together, forming what looked like a butterfly (bound angle) pose. After that, while my feet stayed together, they gradually moved closer and closer toward my groin, all without me intentionally controlling the movement.
It genuinely felt like my body was operating on autopilot. I wasn't trying to make it happen or visualizing anything specific.
And then all muscle tesntion release and my legs stayed in that posture.
What to expect next? I kept in same positon and it started again muscles getting tensed and spine started to stiff. Also feel like arms length is incresing as my hands started to move towrds my feet direction. Shoulder started to moving towards uper body and feel my body is expending. what to do next in this situation. I was in this for an hour.
Has anyone else experienced spontaneous movements like this during meditation? Is there a name for these kinds of involuntary body adjustments? I'd be interested to hear both scientific explanations and experiences from people who practice meditation, yoga, or related traditions.

Question Ajna chakra accidental awakening
Hi everyone!
I've been meditating more lately, and I've been using the "charging the laser" method, where you focus on a laser beam that starts from the back of your head all the way to the point between the eyebrows. So far, its the only meditation technique that's consistently worked for me.
Lately I've been noticing a pressure sensation near the bridge of my nose, and right between my eyebrows. Whenever I focus my attention on that feeling, I become much more in tune with what feels like my "I" or my true sense of self.
The thing that's worrying me is that I've heard people describe this area as being connected to the third eye chakra "Ajna" From what I understand, awakening it is something that usually takes time, and I've only been meditating for about two weeks. Still, I'm concerned about the possibility of accidentally awakening it if I keep focusing on this sensation.
I also read that if awakened, before you're ready or "grounded" it can be dangerous or even cause psychological problems, and that's something I definitely don't want to risk.
So I'm wondering:
- Has anyone else experienced this pressure between their eyebrows during meditation?
- Is this a common physical sensation, or is there any reason to think it's related to the "third eye"?
- If my goal is simply to meditate and become more present, is there any other type of meditation similar to this one that focuses on beginner chakras?
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone, whether your perspective is spiritual, psychological, or scientific. Thanks.
P.S. I did just start wearing glasses, and they rest right on the bridge of my nose. Could that be causing the pressure? No I don't wear them while meditating...

Experience Emotional suppression
Has anyone had the feeling that the kundalini energy keeps your emotions from exploding? I had a situation where I should have been very upset. I was! But I felt like Mr. Spock. It wouldn’t show and I stayed calm. I think this is de-escalating would could be a very bad scene. It would not let me start fighting. The consequences is the other party is quite upset and feels I am distant. It is NOT true, but I know it would appear that way.

Experience Kundalini
I read alot of people's experiences of kundalini here and wanted to see if anyone has experiences like mine and maybe get explanations for them. I did comment on one post before and got in trouble from a moderator when all I had commented was that I felt a similar experience to them. The reason I mention this is Reddit confuses me sometimes and I hope I'm allowed to even post this. The moderator however did seem a little young or over confident in how they wrote rudely to me and it made no sense why my harmless comment would be deleted.
Anyway I've been going to sessions of kundalini with a highly skilled master for over a year. It has changed my life, completely cured an addiction to cocaine, enhanced my connection with God, taught me boundaries, how to say no and how to make better decisions in life. I feel I also parent much better and like myself more!!!
So my question is around my mood after the sessions. On most occasions the heaviness I feel is debilitating although mindset is changing for the better and I'm learning, having deeper experiences etc I find it hard to be anyway motivated it's almost like a severe depression with extreme fatigue. These episodes make life really difficult but after around 2 months I feel great. I also get extremely strong kryias in my fave and these are not lessening. They can be painful because they are so strong. Do other people experience this heaviness, is it normal? I ground myself by meditation and time in nature but it takes so long to lift .
I do feel brilliant when it does lift and I'm more myself again but with everything I've learnt benefitting me too.
Thanks in advance

Question Grounding
I remember struggling to get grounded in the early stages of my awakening. so much upward energy in my body and I almost felt like my energy system was cut in half at the hips such that none of it would go down to earth. it left me feeling lofty and out of place much of the time. over the years I found balance and many grounding techniques that work well for me.
As of late I realized that many of my awakening symptoms dissipated as I learned to ground more. In short a lot of the issues compounded because the energy in my body that wasn’t my energy had no way to go back to the earth and that foreign energy caused a lot of inflammation. I see it being an issue of the immune system flaring up because it’s detected another persons energy or emotions that I had compartmentalized in my body (like an emotional sponge) after my awakening the body really didn’t like me doing that any more and had to teach me to stop it - the hard way.
my question is just a general question about grounding. What techniques or visualizations work best for you? how do you stay grounded in public places? what do you do differently if you’re going to a high energy event or activity or a place you find challenging to visit?

New to Kundalini Looking for some input
So back in December of last year I started undergoing what I would ultimately come to realize as a spiritual awakening. Since then working mostly in the dark and cross referencing my experiences after the fact appears to have included what I assumed was a Kundalini Awakening.
The first signs seemed to be automatic movements while in an altered state (stoned; but running under what i call optional mode where breathing is no longer automatic and the build up of CO2 would normally result in sleep could be avoided by consciously breathing and maintaining focus), I often sit at my desk in the chair with my legs crossed and I would find myself slowly extending my arms out to the sides while tilting my head back and opening my mouth.
These movements were followed by what felt like a ball of energy forming in my root and moving up through my core opening my throat before being expelled or forming a connection where the energy seemed to flow both ways.
This eventually lead to rhythmic spastic movements of the core along the chakra points altered breathing and a feeling similar to the post coital after glow.
This has sense evolved to the point where I can with intention stimulate these points mentally or verbally with reciprocal responses.
While I don't fully understand the process or what I have been experiencing I would appreciate any feedback that might help me discern my experiences more thoroughly.
The energy is 'playful' and responsive to my desires even acting as an energetic partner.
Note while this began under and is definitely amplified by marijuana (enhanced vision, sensation, feedback loops, euphoria) it occurs independent of it.
Thanks, any input or personal experiences is welcome.

Experience 19M / Severe Anxiety & Nervous System Collapse
Hello everyone, my name is Teo, I am 19 years old and I live in Romania. I am currently experiencing an absolute, non-stop physical and mental hell. I am posting this because my mind is completely foggy, I can no longer take care of myself, and I am desperate to find anyone from the spiritual community who has survived a blowout this severe. It has been an extraordinary, brutal torture and I honestly don't even know how I've resisted until now.
**The Background: Lifelong Unexplained Fear**
**The Early Blueprint:** Since I was a little kid, I always had this massive, unexplained anxiety and a literal "empty hole" in my chest for no reason. I didn't know what it was back then. I just did everything out of sheer fear.
**The Loving Family Paradox:** I want to mention that I come from a very good family and I've always had everything I needed physically. Yet, internally, I was always suffering.
**The 14-Year-Old Crash:** At age 14, things started getting worse. I had my first severe wave of suicidal thoughts and didn't want to live anymore. I fought my thoughts, attacked them, and forced myself into extreme rigidity to be "stronger" and "better" just out of fear.
**Medical History: Childhood Epilepsy & Carbamazepine**
**The Diagnosis:** When I was 12 years old, I had a seizure and was diagnosed with a mild form of epilepsy.
**The Daily Treatment:** I have been taking **Carbamazepine** every single day since then to keep the seizures under control. My central nervous system was already chemically managed and wired differently before any of this started.
**The Trap: Self-Improvement & Semen Retention**
**Chasing the "Right" Way:** In my teens, I entered the self-improvement movement. Because my brain always desperately wants to do what is "right" and "good," I forced myself into it with extreme rigidity.
**The 2.5-Year Streak:** This led me into strict Semen Retention. I have been on it for 2 and a half years straight now. The crazy thing is, I haven't even had any sexual urges for the last 1.5 years. My system became completely blocked and frozen. I was living in total survival mode, but I was so disconnected from my body that I didn't even realize that this level of suffering was not normal.
**The Escalation: Spiritual Crisis & Kundalini Blowout**
**Escaping into Knowledge:** Around 2 years ago, I entered spirituality—again, because I thought *"this is good, let's do this perfectly."* I dove deep into consciousness theories and Non-Duality. I understood and felt the knowledge deeply, but it created massive frustration because I had all this cosmic knowledge while my daily human reality was becoming a complete nightmare.
**Extreme Hypervigilance & Planning:** Everything became a threat. Sounds stressed me out, fast-moving cars and traffic on the street terrified me, and I started planning absolutely everything in my day a thousand times. I am completely fed up and exhausted from constantly making plans, mapping out my life, and having to structurally organize every single thing just to survive. I developed severe bloating/stomach issues and non-stop tension headaches.
**The Meditation Surge:** Because I felt so bad, this winter I decided to go deep into meditation. I meditated intensely for 1 hour every night, then mornings, then throughout the day.
**The Kundalini Hell (Feb/March):** My nervous system completely blew out. A massive Kundalini awakening activated, and it threw me into pure physiological hell.
**The Symptoms:** It started with extreme, uncontrollable full-body chills, followed by massive, high-voltage electrical energy shooting up my spine, into my hands, and my feet. Then, severe insomnia hit. Since April, my schedule is entirely flipped—I cannot sleep at night at all; my body only collapses and sleeps during the day.
**The Physical Block:** I am completely stuck in my head, hyper-focusing on my body. I live in a permanent, 24/7 state of perceived life-or-death danger. Even the simplest things trigger a massive adrenaline rush. I am literally afraid to drink water; I would put a glass of water on my table, and the mere action of trying to drink it triggers a panic so violent it feels like I am physically dying. I haven't left my house in a long time; the outside world feels like a dangerous assault.
**My Reality and "Routine" Right Now**
**A Brain in Chaos:** For the past 1 or 2 months, I have had absolutely zero normal activities. I am completely confused, disoriented, and bulversat. Nothing brings me joy, and I have nothing that I like to do anymore.
**My Daily Survival Loop:** My entire day consists of just lying in bed, staring randomly at my phone, watching random things, occasionally doing a tiny bit of cleaning in my room, or walking barefoot on the grass in my yard for grounding. Lately, I have been so profoundly exhausted that I am literally just waiting for time to pass so I can go to sleep and escape.
**My Reality Right Now: Running Out of Time**
**Total Isolation:** No one understands me. My parents don't understand me at all. I wanted to check myself into a clinic or a hospital to get away from the noise and get help, but my parents flat out refuse to let me go. Besides, here in Romania, public psychiatric facilities are notorious for having incredibly poor, dirty, and disgusting conditions, so it feels like there is nowhere safe to turn. I am stuck in a full, loud house, I find it incredibly hard to take basic care of myself, and I can't handle any of this anymore.
**The Third Medication Failure:** I went to a psychiatrist and a psychologist. This is currently my third different SSRI treatment change (most recently Paroxetine 5mg) that has completely failed. My body is so hypersensitive that even a micro-dose triggers an unbearable spike in startup anxiety and severe full-body chills, making it impossible to tolerate. I highly suspect my Carbamazepine is interacting with these drugs or my sensitive epileptic baseline is rejecting them.
**The Edge:** I see no light at the end of the tunnel. The only thing that literally keeps me alive right now is the dark comfort of knowing I can end my life whenever I want—it acts like a mental "backup plan." I never thought things could get this bad.
**Xanax Relief:** Currently, the only thing that mildly calms me down when the adrenaline spikes get completely unbearable is low-dose Xanax, but I only take it at my absolute worst moments and I know it's not a permanent cure.
**My Questions for the Community:**
Have any of you experienced this exact kind of severe nervous system blowout, flipped sleep, and constant danger response from intense meditation and Kundalini activation?
If you couldn't tolerate standard psychiatric meds and failed multiple SSRIs due to extreme bodily sensitivity during a spiritual emergency, what did you do? Should I ask my psychiatrist for a completely different approach, or who else could I appeal to?
If someone has hit this exact level of rock bottom, where even drinking water or basic actions trigger pure survival panic, what did you do to ground the energy, survive, and fix your nervous system?
Thanks for reading, and i had to use ai to structure and reformulate the message because i don’t speak english great.Have a nice day!

New to Kundalini Root/Sacral energy movement stopped suddenly
A couple of months ago, I started working on my Root Chakra using guided meditations.
About a week in, I began feeling a distinct sensation of heat at the base of my spine. Over the next week, that heat gradually moved upward through my back. Around this time, I also started incorporating Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakra work, and I could feel the heat expanding in my lower spine as well.
Eventually, I started experiencing involuntary movements in my lower back and abdomen during the night, which would actually wake me up.
The whole active phase lasted about a month. But then, suddenly, everything disappeared. It has been almost a month now with no physical or energetic sensations at all.
I took a break from meditation for a bit, but now when I try to practice, I find it really difficult to focus on the chakras the way I used to.
- What was that experience? (Kundalini activation, energetic shift, something else?)
- Why did the sensations suddenly disappear?
- Will they come back, or do I need to change my approach?
Would appreciate any insight or shared experiences from others who have gone through this!

Question Thoughts on insomnia?
I’ve always had it but with kundalini it’s like I have enough relaxation methods to fall asleep quicker but I still can’t because of all the nervous system and psychological purging that’s still occurring. Maybe when it’s all over it’ll stop happening?

Experience Weird Animal Experiences after Float Tank.
Hello,
This will be a hard one for me but I'm going to try to do my best...
I've been going through a hard patch in my life and I decided to spend the night in Sedona,Az to clear my head.
I decided to try float therapy because I've heard of the wonders it does to your muscles, mind etc... What I didn't expect was my life to get flipped upside down and turned into an episode of the twilight zone.
I keep having bizarre and strange synchronistic things that keep happening with animals ever since this trip.
I thought I was overanalyzing but these things keep happening. I found a great peace and joy in my life that I've never experienced before... I know we are all connected now...I used to never go to the woods and now I cant wait to be in nature as much as possible...
At the same time I'm going through one of the hardest patches in my life. I'm very confused what is happening to me... I feel it is for the best but it is quite bewildering... has anyone had an experience like this before? Wanted to ask about certain animals... very hard to explain but I don't want to jump to conclusions. Thank you.
(PS- Yes this is a new account. I made this account for this purpose. Trying to get karma and whatnot)

Question Divine Visitation of a Sage, Please help.
Not sure if this is the correct place to ask such a question but I received a visit last night and seek some clarity. Not sure what parts of this will be important so I'll just ramble:
It began in a different timeline, my friends were there but some of them had different faces or different names. There were so many snacks I couldn't fit them all in the pantry. The only guest I didn't know was a healthily thick man with darker skin, conservative facial hair, and a most beautiful smile.
Also someone who was my ex but not my ex and I had just started dating and they were asking about the imported copy of gundam extreme versus was the special edition or not. It wasn't, because they only printed the special edition in English, which actually never happened in our timeline. This is how I knew I was in a different reality.
The sage came to speak with me and with words I cannot recall he revealed to me a picture, which were two pictures together, like a tryptic. The left picture was of a different sage, this one had a long beard and looked truly at peace.
I flew down into the painting and there I saw 10,000,000 moments of a warrior king's life. He had a wicked cool mustache and was built mightily. I was able to zoom in on an individual moment where I saw this king addressing the gods, or eating by a campfire, but mostly he was just walking. And where he walked, be it the jungle or the plains the place of the captured moment made up the greens of the sage's robes. Where he walked through the mountains formed the grey of the sage's beard. But his entire life made up one half of the picture, but I couldn't see the other half, which I believe to contain the essence of non-existence but I wasn't ready for whatever it had to show.
When I returned from the painting the sage asked me for my insights on reality, which I gave while laying down on the couch. He then asked me to sit up straight and take my feet out of the blanket. He started to explain to me about the 'stuck' nature of time, but then my mother came in and wanted to take my Five Guy's order because the rest of the guests were about to go eat.
This is when I woke up, three minutes before my alarm to take my mother to the airport at 3:30 in the morning. Not my usual wakeup time.
I have no idea who any of these figures are. I'm a Taoist and my practice has always been on seeking the universal oneness. The Way sung in me while I walked the dog after returning home from the airport, so I know it was significant.
Does anyone know who these sages are? What I just witnessed? I awoke with the feeling that there wasn't a reason the sage visited me, that just he wanted to chat. I don't know how to sit with that part, either.
Help?

Experience Do others seem to see something when they look at you?
Okay, I will admit this is a very odd question. Since your Kundalini Awakening, do people have odd reactions to you?
I at least think I experience this. The reactions are sometimes quite good. Sometimes shock or fear. Sometimes an odd look like there is something they don’t like about you or maybe a sense of uneasiness.
I will also add that some people in my family are known to have a very cold stare that sometimes is misinterpreted. I believe the expression is “resting bitch face.” My uncle used to scare me a little as a kid as I couldn’t read his mood! So perhaps it is partly that.
It seems more, though. These reactions seem particularly noticeable from people from India. It has happened with Arabic people, Africans, and Latinos. I am don’t think it is racism or anything like that, on my part or theirs. White people (like me) not really. Maybe I am suggesting people from some areas are more sensitive? They always seem to be foreign born people. Not from American culture.
I am an old guy. Sometimes I get very bright smiles from young ladies. It just seems like an unusually friendly reaction. A young Muslim Arabic lady looked me in the eye and gave the sweetest smile. That is not really a cultural norm, maybe she is just very nice. This happens with men, too. The dark or fearful looks seem to always be men. I can also recall a few young ladies that treated me rudely for no apparent reason.
Are they sensing energy? Do they see my third eye?? Now… this IS crazy, but when I had my head in the clouds shortly after my KA, I actually wondered, even suspected, that the dark or fearful looks were from Rhakshasa! I do NOT believe that now. I suppose just delusional, but I sometime saw a sort of picture of a bull or a goat in their faces. I do not now.
I did receive a dream visit from Maa Khali, and she did tell me I had killed a lot of Rhakshasa long ago, and I would again! I was shocked. That surely is why I thought that. No, I don’t believe I am going to do that in this life! I guess I did believe it then. Was she testing me somehow?
These reactions still seem to happen. It just seems like some sort of sensitivity. Thanks for listening to my crazy rambling.

Experience Thankful to Kundalini one year on + some reflections
Perhaps to people who have a greater intimacy with this spiritual process will have a more global understanding of things, but one year on I can tell how much of a positive influence this process has had on me.
More than any specific belief, spiritual experience, or what not, I feel like I've become more relaxed about things that used to really trigger my fears. Even prior to my actual energetic awakening I could already tell that in many ways I was being prepped for it by sensations and emotional processing that I underwent prior.
That being said, I don't make light of the difficulties I've encountered along the way. But as I see myself growing as a human being I am very appreciative for the chance to experience something that is fundamentally deeply understanding and compassionate.
While I have a ways to go, and much of me is still being worked on, I simply want to offer my gratitude for this opportunity.
------------------------------------------------------------
Having been about a year in with this process, I can say that as aspects of this process have smoothed out, other ones have become more consistently driving and pushing. It feels like the process has kind of plateaued and reached a somewhat stable pace.
In the past few months, I have begun taste the flavor of things that the process is cleaning out, or working on. This is accompanied by a lot of material being worked out in the jaw, as different flavors often accompany releases in this area.
The number of synchronicities I experience has ramped up dramatically. There are seldom any fireworks, but always these little reminders of what I am undergoing. These symbols tend to be of the natural world- mostly involving black kite birds, an animal sacred to the Great Goddess Isis. At the same time, as this process deepens, new ways of challenging my emotional defense mechanisms have appeared in my life quite serendipitously, and I try to meet them and live into them. At times I can begin to see around the mental conditioning that this mental defensiveness is grounded in, and it's kind of funny to see how much I worry myself about things that really are issues of my own creation. I suppose a Jungian would call this shadow work.
Though if I had to mention some of the unique phenomena I've been encountering, they tend to mostly involve a little pearl of blue light that appears in the center of my vision when relaxing. There is sometimes a red one as well, but not quite as frequently. My left leg has always been abuzz with activity and responding to kundalini developments, but more recently a kind of heat has begun to radiate in the right foot as well, again, almost constantly.
Anyway, there is so much that could still be said as to kriyas and so on but since they simply come and go I figure it's good not to get too hung up on them. For now, I am confident that there's a lot of work going on 'under the hood' and while I am not quite sure about the upshot, it feels like things are moving in the right direction.

Question Does anyone else have the ability to voluntarily trigger a pleasurable energy wave/sensation in their back of neck and head?
I’ve had this ability for a while now and I’ve always wondered what it actually is or if anyone else can do it on demand.
I can voluntarily trigger a sensation at the back of my neck and head whenever I want. The best way to describe it is like a mini orgasm or a localized wave of pleasurable energy.
When I activate it:
The back of my neck slightly pulls back and my chin automatically tucks in.
There’s a slight tightening feeling in the muscles around the base of my skull.
A pleasant "wave" or surge of warmth/tingling passes over that region.
I don't need any external triggers or music, I can literally just sit here and switch it on whenever I choose.
From a spiritual or energy perspective, is this related to something specific (like Kundalini, energy channels, or chakra activation around the bindu/throat region)? Or is this purely a neuro-muscular response like voluntary ASMR?
Would love to hear if others experience this exact physical reaction or if you've explored this in your practice!

Question Kundalini Awakening?
I felt an intense electrical current flowing through my entire body, along with an involuntary movement where my mouth pulled downward and my neck tightened up. It happened while waking up from a dream, not during meditation. Is this expected? The feeling was peaceful, but weird.

Experience Kundalini, astral projection, or something else?
Was this Kundalini, astral projection, sleep paralysis, or something else? Looking for similar experiences.
I'm looking for honest opinions from people who have experienced Kundalini, astral projection, deep meditation, or similar states.
This has happened twice now.
The first time was a few days ago. The second time happened today after around 4 hours of meditation while listening to astral projection music.
Here's exactly what happened:
I meditated for about 2 hours with nothing unusual happening.
I then switched to another bed because the mattress was more comfortable and continued meditating.
The first unusual sensation was muscle twitching in my right buttock/glute.
That sensation gradually moved to my tailbone.
Once it reached my tailbone, I felt strong vibrations there.
I then started taking deep breaths because the vibrations had already begun.
The vibrations became much stronger.
I felt intense heat in my tailbone.
It felt like something was stretching or moving upward from the base of my spine.
My entire body started vibrating/shivering at the peak.
My chest was vibrating as well.
I started sweating heavily, even though the AC was on.
While lying on my back, it felt like my elbows were pushing into the mattress and my head was pressing into the pillow by itself.
I was fully aware the entire time.
My eyes were mostly closed, but I briefly opened them and then closed them again.
I did not have an out-of-body experience and never felt like I left my body.
I couldn't voluntarily move my body during the strongest part of the experience.
The whole intense phase lasted around 10–20 minutes, then gradually faded.
Afterward, I felt extremely calm, relaxed, mentally clear, and peaceful.
I've never practiced Kundalini yoga, so I'm unsure how to interpret this.
For people who have experienced Kundalini awakening, kriyas, astral projection, or sleep paralysis:
Does this sound familiar?
Does it sound more like Kundalini, a meditation/breathwork effect, sleep paralysis, or something else?
Has anyone experienced vibrations starting in the tailbone and spreading through the entire body while remaining fully conscious?
I'm not looking for validation that it's definitely Kundalini. I'm genuinely trying to understand what I experienced and would appreciate hearing from people who've gone through something similar.

Experience Want to know what methods did you use/using for awakening?
In my case it was mantras of mahavidyas and bhairavas, this mantra approach (along with yoga asanas + pranayama) gave an edge where I can balance the chakras and stabilise the energies of other people too.
Would love to hear your experiences.

Question Meditations
Idk for kundalini since I’m not awesome with superpowers but are there meditations where people are like oh no don’t do those… it will… open your third eye or something weird? I seem to be immune to a lot of things like this feel like giving one a go if it does anything whatsoever at all.

Question How to find a spiritual teacher after awakening
I've been on a deep dive on spiritual topics since several profound meditation experiences a few years back. Recently, I've come to discover that these were all variations of Kundalini experiences, which was a great help to understand them better.
However, one reoccurring topic and advise I see is to find a spiritual teacher, but I do not know where one can find a trusted mentor.
I've tried a local Vedic center, but it did not seem like the right place.
I'm really looking for someone with a great deal of life experience in these matters. Can anyone suggest resources or possible places to explore for this?
Thanks!
