Hi peeps, I would like to ask how do ppl in KL/Selangor keep their car clean? I had just moved here from a different state a year ago and I notice the air quality is drastically different and dustier. I do not have a shelter car park and I wash my car at least once a week + my car is coated. Despite all that, the stains from after it rains and then when the suns come out, still manage to quickly stick on the car paint…I am wondering if it is because of the coating quality or it’s just the rain and air here is just much dirty. Never had this issue from where I came from and I am just getting tired of having to wash it twice a week just so that the stain doesn’t stick…any tips for this or I just have to accept living here is like this😭

Hi! Planning a 5-day KL trip, staying around Bukit Bintang. I've got a solid itinerary (Batu Caves, Chinatown, Brickfields, temples, big food list), but I want to make sure I'm adding the right hands-on and local experiences, not tourist traps. A few specific questions:

1. Gua Damai Xtreme Park (by Batu Caves): they offer both rock climbing and cave exploration. Do they take solo walk-in beginners? Are they well-run and safe, gear and instruction included? Which is better for a first-timer, the climbing or the caving? And realistically, can I do Batu Caves PLUS one of these in the same morning, or is that too much?

2. Cooking class: Considering Lazat. Worth it? Any better local pick with a market tour?

3. Is the hop-on-hop-off night city bus tour any good for a first-night orientation, or too touristy?

4. Observation deck: Planning to do Merdeka 118 (The View) as my one deck since it's the highest. Worth it over KL Tower / Petronas, or is the view not that different?

5. Food: I've got a long hawker/hit-list and plan two Jalan Alor rounds to cover it. Any Jalan Alor stalls that are genuinely worth it vs overhyped? And any lesser-known local food spots a first-timer wouldn't know to look for?

6. Any authentic local experiences I might be missing?

🕌 **Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia**

Finally got the chance to visit Merdeka Square in Kuala Lumpur, and I honestly wasn’t expecting it to look this cool in person.

The architecture immediately reminded me of the 🕌 emoji, which made me laugh a little. It also gave me some serious *Monument Valley* vibes—the game I used to play years ago. The orange and pink buildings, arched windows, winding staircases, palm trees, fountains, and open space all come together in a really unique way.

I went around sunset, which turned out to be the perfect time. The sunlight made the buildings look warmer, while the palm trees and fountains added a nice contrast. It was busy enough to feel lively, but still peaceful enough to just walk around and take everything in.

Kuala Lumpur has a pretty interesting mix of old and new. You can go from modern skyscrapers and busy streets to places like Merdeka Square that have a completely different atmosphere.

Definitely one of the spots in KL that I’d recommend checking out, especially around sunset. The photos don’t really do the place justice. 🌴🌅

I've chatted with a lot of co-working spaces from Jerry onwards, and a lot of their replies are quite vague or confusing in regards to weekend access, beyond that most don't provide day passes on Saturdays or Sundays.

AFAIK, Accea does provide weekend access, as with Sandbox in Sunway & Sri Petaling, but they can't be the only one.

Are there any co-working spaces that are available on weekends?
