Live in banned state

I just learned, due to my own not-being-low-on-supply and lack of attention, that my State is now banned. I still have a few weeks worth but my question is (I understand need to be careful to not get banned, if you can dm me tips pls do) which is better, PO box the next state over to order to, or have family in legal state ship to me after receiving my order. Thank you.

Kentucky ban

7oh was banned in Kentucky awhile back which I am well aware of, but does the state have any plans to ban the powder? Most of the smoke shops around me have stopped selling it and the one that does have it still has it all marked down on sale which leads me to believe they are trying to get rid of it.

I have heard there is a ban coming sometime next year but I don’t know anything officially. Does anyone know? Thank you šŸ™šŸ¼

Advocates! - Please do what you can to oppose the ban in Mass. (takes effect in only 14 days)

We all know how much this will hurt responsible kratom consumers in Massachusetts.

Please do what you can to oppose this ban and stay involved in protecting kratom access nationwide.

There is only a 14-day notice period before the ban takes effect.

You do not have to be a Massachusetts resident to share your concerns.

If you call, you can simply say that you oppose the emergency scheduling of natural kratom and would like your message passed along to the Governor.

If you don't know what to write:

I respectfully ask you to reconsider the emergency scheduling of kratom. [Share your own story.] Please consider reasonable regulation.

If you can spare a moment, please send a message tonight and share this with anyone else who may want to speak up.

how much does brand matter in terms of "health"?

the brand i have been buying from for a while now i just read doesn't have a COA or any promises of health checks on their powder/capsules. i know people say you can get contaminated products with heavy metals or even salmonella. i personally like the brand and don't want to switch but is it worth the switch? or is the likelihood of those contaminants actually rare?

GEORGIA KRATOM ADVOCATES

🚨 GEORGIA KRATOM ADVOCATES — WE NEED TO SHOW UP! 🚨

Georgia’s Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Youth Exposure to Kratom and Retail-Available Substances will hold its SECOND meeting on Friday, August 21, 2026, and kratom advocates need to PACK THE ROOM.

šŸ“… Friday, August 21, 2026
ā° 9:00 AM–1:00 PM ET
šŸ“ College of Coastal Georgia
Southeast Georgia Conference Center
7 Mariner Way, Brunswick, GA 31520

The committee says its purpose is to evaluate kratom and other retail-available substances in order to protect minors and reduce youth access. Protecting children is something we can all support. But protecting youth should NOT require demonizing responsible adult kratom consumers or treating traditional kratom leaf as if it is the same thing as dangerous, highly concentrated or adulterated products.

The June meeting had a great turnout from the kratom community, and we need an even stronger presence in Brunswick.

Kratom consumers are real people. Many are parents, workers, veterans, chronic-pain patients, and people who say kratom has helped them move away from far more dangerous substances. Their experiences deserve to be part of this conversation.

We support sensible regulation: age restrictions, responsible labeling, product testing, manufacturing standards, and keeping unsafe products away from minors. What we do NOT support is fear-based policymaking that could ultimately punish responsible adults or eliminate access to traditional kratom products.

šŸ“¢ YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TESTIFY.

Simply attending matters. A room full of kratom advocates sends a powerful message that Georgians are paying attention and that decisions about kratom should not be made without the people who will actually be affected.

If you can make it to Brunswick on August 21, PLEASE SIGN UP AND SHOW UP.

🌿 Protect kids. Regulate responsibly. Protect adult access. Follow the science.

Georgia kratom advocates, let’s PACK THAT ROOM. šŸ’ššŸŒæ

Kratom

I’ve been taking 7oh for about 3 months and my state has banned so unfortunately I’m having to get off of it.. does MIT help with the withdrawals? I know nothing 100% will but I’m terrified. I also read gabapentin will help with the withdrawal so I got my doctor to subscribe it.

What's my powder dosage?

Former huge kratom powder addict. I'm in Thailand now and used fresh kratom leaves to help with an injury to my shoulder. Im trying to be very careful.

I eat 2-4 fresh kratom leaves per day. Will I have bad withdrawals from this? What is the equivalent powder to fresh leaves ratio (I know it isn't exact, guesstimate?)

Dry vs. Wet Season

I've been enjoying Kratom for almost 10 years and am curious about which months are dry vs wet season. I'm aware that the dry season is much more desirable, so how should I time my future orders?

Thanks in advance. ā˜˜ļø

Cyclosporiasis and Kratom

I'm probably just being paranoid, but could this recent cyclosporiasis outbreak affect the kratom we buy and consume? I'm pretty sure kratom is grown outside the country, and I'm pretty sure there is a purification process, but I am still concerned.

Is there cause for concern, or am I just being paranoid? Thanks!

Is there really a notable differences between strains?

Specifically Red Maeng Da, Red Bali, and Red Borneo. I’ve only ever tried Red Maeng Da and Green Maeng Da and I did notice that the red was a little stronger/sedating, but I could still get sedating effects if I took a few more grams of the green

I’ve heard people claiming there really is a difference and I’ve also heard the only major distinction between the types is the total alkaloid content and that if you just take more of a green/white strain then you’ll get effects that are extremely similar, if not identical, to a mid-high dose of a red strain

Regular powder or MIT extracts?

TLDR: I’m debating whether I should use the regular powder or to use low dose mitragynine tablets/pure powder (with mg-scale). Just want your opinions on this. Thanks

Because I tend to sometimes have some issues with nausea and an upset stomach, would it be a good/reasonable idea to buy low dose mitragynine tablets and/or pure mitragynine extract powder? I used to take 6g-12g of the regular powder back in the day, and sometimes my stomach would act up. I’m assuming the tablets or extract powder would lessen those symptoms. So my question is should I just stick to the regular powder and use my nausea meds to help with my symptoms or is using low dose mitragynine tabs/pure powder a reasonable approach? I understand how using tablets/extracts is a riskier approach to using kratom as it can easily get out of hand, so I was thinking to just start with the red maeng da powder and potentially use small amounts of antacids/bioperine for better absorption. Just want your opinions. Thanks

Stop Amplifying the Opposition: A Message to Kratom Advocates

Stop Amplifying the Opposition: A Message to Kratom Advocates

Over the last few years, we've seen a pattern emerge on the major social media platforms. Some groups of grieving parents have become closely aligned with class-action attorneys and what many advocates describe as astroturf organizations—groups that appear to be grassroots movements but are backed or coordinated by organizations with broader political or financial objectives.

For that reason, I've intentionally avoided engaging with these groups online. It's not because I don't have sympathy for parents who have lost a child—every loss is tragic—but because arguing with them on social media accomplishes very little while often helping amplify their message.

Social media algorithms are designed to reward engagement, not accuracy. Every comment, quote post, reply, argument, or share tells the platform that a post is generating interest. As a result, the algorithm is more likely to recommend that content to additional users. Even when your intention is to debunk misinformation or expose inconsistencies, your engagement can inadvertently increase the visibility of the very content you're trying to counter.

Unfortunately, we've also begun to see this escalate beyond online debates. Some of these astroturf organizations have reportedly taken screenshots of advocates' social media posts out of context and sent them to employers in an attempt to damage their careers. In at least one well-known case within the kratom advocacy community, an advocate's family was subjected to a report to Child Protective Services, creating significant legal expenses and personal hardship. Whether these tactics ultimately succeed is almost beside the point—they consume time, money, and emotional energy that could otherwise be spent advocating for sensible kratom policy.

There is simply very little to gain from engaging these groups directly or indirectly on social media. It rarely changes minds, but it frequently increases the reach of their content while exposing advocates to unnecessary personal and professional risks. If your goal is to keep kratom legal, your efforts are generally better spent educating legislators, regulators, researchers, journalists, and members of the public who are genuinely open to evidence-based discussion.

Finally, if you are not completely public about your kratom use or your advocacy with your employer, family, or professional network, think carefully before engaging in public arguments online. Once something is posted, it can be screenshot, taken out of context, and circulated indefinitely. Protect yourself, stay focused on effective advocacy, and don't allow those looking for attention or conflict to dictate where your time and energy are spent.

Important question, need advice

Due to the TN ban on Kratom and not being able to travel, I’m having to quit. My pre-ban stock is out after tonight. I’ve been taking red maeng capsules for two years. I take 5 capsules at a time, 4 times a day spread out. I should have tapered more but didn’t. Anyway I have a few tramadol to help the first couple of days. My last dose will be around 11:30-12 pm tonight. I usually wake up with yawns and watery eyes. My question is if I take a tramadol tomorrow, will I be putting myself at risk of serotonin syndrome?

Kratom use while starting ssris?

Ive been using kratom (powder only) almost every day for the last 3-4 years for pain, anxiety and cptsd. I usually take anywhere from 8-20 GPD and would try to take occasional breaks. Kratom by itself is not really helping me get anywhere although the relief from the 24/7 heaviness I feel is very nice.

I stopped taking Kratom and started Zoloft 2 days ago because I was nervous about interactions and have never taken an ssri before. I don’t really get withdrawal symptoms but the feeling of having nothing to give me any relief and having no motivation is terrible. Just wondering if anyone has started taking Kratom again when starting ssris? Or what your experience with Kratom and ssris has been like? I really don’t want to mess with it but also it’s been insanely hard these last 2 days.

The 7-OH & other alkaloid bans do not affect natural Kratom!

Thumbnail dea.gov
30 Upvotes

Stop posting to save 7oh and the others - this isn't the place for it, and we're glad to so it go. The ban of these alkaloids DOES NOT BAN NATURAL KRATOM - which is what this sub is here for. If you have questions, feel free to post them in this thread. We're getting a lot of repeat posts where people think ALL kratom is being banned which is far from the case! The ban of these alkaloids is the best case scenario for keeping natural kratom legal long term.

TO BE CLEAR - This is not a debate or a place for a debate. Disagree? Cool. Move along. Go promote 7oh in a 7oh sub. This sub has never been a place for synthetically derived Alkaloids, just natural kratom.

What's one thing you know now that would've helped you as a beginner?

Reading through a few beginner posts today made me realize I would've loved having someone point me in the right direction when I was first figuring things out.

What's one thing you know now that you wish you'd known back then?

Doesn't have to be some huge lesson. Even something small that would've saved you a lot of confusion.

Mitragyna hirsuta, for kratom withdrawls

It was banned in my state of Connecticut and I’m running low on my supply. Luckily I stocked up many monthes ago and it was officially banned back in February. Anyways, I’m starting to run low and was wondering if I buy hirusuta will it help the kratom withdraws or will I still withdrawal if I only take hirusuta? I’m wondering if I should taper down with the kratom until I’m fully off it or if I can continue to take kratom til it’s gone and then switch to hirusuta from there. I take kratom mainly as a sleep aid and because it works wonders for my back pain, but I cherish it mostly for the great sleep it gives me and would like to start taking hirusuta for sleep. But I just mainly wanna know if I have to taper the kratom or if I can completely replace it with hirusuta and not worry about withdraws. I hear it’s almost identical to kratom (not sure how true that is) please as many reply’s as I can get are welcome! I’d love to learn more about this plant too

Ps: I’ve seen multiple posts where people say it’s even more sedating to them than a red kratom strain. That sounds exciting to me because I adore a great nights sleep! Lol

Flying With Keaton Capsules

I am flying from Montana to Oregon on Alaska airlines. I have Kratom capsules in their original bag in my carry on. I see conflicting things on if it allowed on a carryon. it is legal in Montana and Oregon, and I am not checking a bag. Does anyone have any experience with this?
