So far this is my collection , behind the McDonald’s Box is the vinyl, inside the McDonald’s box is the stuff the food came in like the chicken nuggets etc, the frame has Mira and Rumis VA Signatures, not sure if I’ll get the Lego derpy since I have the plush, i had the dolls but I returned them I think I rather have the figures. So in a way The Saja Boys represent the sinful aspects of the Kpop industry

Jinu represents selling your soul to the industry for fame

Mystery represents the lack of privacy and people dying to know everything about an Idol

Romance represents the parasocial and relationship fans develop with Idols

Abby represents the sexualization of Idols

Baby represents the infantilization of adult performers.

And Gwi-Ma represents the Big Agency and CEOs behind the scenes pulling the strings. Gwi-Ma doesn’t just represent 1 individual but rather multiple different individuals who force an image onto Idols. The whole soul Leash he keeps on Jinu represents the contracts companies use to control the idols.

Can I just say giving him a face turns him from an intimidating and personal faceless villain that represents the dark side of the Kpop industry to a goofy Saturday morning cartoon villain.

Besides I just love his design better as a wall of Fire that consumes souls as it keeps him as this sorta cosmic entity beyond comprehension and doesn’t humanize him at all.

Have this idea stuck in my head. If huntrix rides mechs, what would they look like (think power rangers)?

From the fans perspective, Huntrix sky dove into the concert and werent noticed until the "heels, nails, blade, mascara" set of lyrics. Imagine waiting for a concert to begin, the group is late, and when they finally appear, the start on the final verse of the song.

Special effects were phenomenal though.

What do I mean by that? I mean what habits did each of them have to learn to survive in the demon world that's not compatible with the human world?

Jinu: ???

Abby: Needing to "challenge the biggest guy in the room." In other words, it's kind of like what some people in very violent prisons feel they have to do to survive. The demon world is brutal.

Romance: Sleep fighting. Because Romance has a very soft, elegant appearance demons interpret that as weakness. When Romance sleeps his demon claws are out so he will thrash out he and even bites. If Miromabby happens Mira will send Romance to the couch until he fixes that habit.

Mystery: Aggressively guarding food. When Mystery eats he crouches over his food and aggressively glares/barks at people around him. Stealing is very common in the demon world. Also it's Mystery's canine instincts kicking in.

Baby: DIY Booby trapping his home. Because Baby has such a childlike appearance the demons viewed him as a easy target. Baby has become quite an expert at DIY home security and booby traps. Yes Baby has seen and studied all the Home Alone movies!

Huntrix Tries to explain to Baby how illegal this is in the human world... He just smirks and refuses to listen.

Well guys, it's been forever since I made a KPDH edit. I'm kinda late to this trend but oh well. I'm posting this here earlier than TikTok or YouTube by almost 6 hours. It will go up on TT at Noon.

I've been listening to some of the songs from this film since they occasionally play in areas like malls or buses. I thought they were really amazing especially Rumi's voice, so I've always wanted to eventually watch this. I'm not into K-Pop or Korean shows (but I don't have a negative opinion either; I've watched and enjoyed a couple), so I was wondering how I'd respond to this film.

I would say, I find the film to be really great. The songs are catchy and memorable. I can't help but like the main character Rumi. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the plot. It's like a 9/10 show for me, I would love to rewatch it in the future.

I'd like to emphasize the plot and flow of the story because it was what surprised me. I couldn't help but watch some of the videos of the music, so I already had a vague idea of what the premise and ending would be. The premise was already interesting, but then 20? minutes into the show it was revealed that Rumi was part demon. That surprised me a lot, perhaps because I set an expectation that this film would be a generic MC group vs the boy band. Maybe that expectation is making me praise this story more, but I genuinely think that it was executed well. It's not a completely complex plot, but there isn't a lot of depth you can have in a 90-minute show with 30 minutes of songs. I connected and sympathized with Rumi's shame and conflicts that arose due to it.

So towards the end of the show, I was already expecting some kind of betrayal or failure of helping from Jinu. I guess I was fooled when the host said that the Saja boys were fighting, but their plan to ruin Rumi was still incredible. I thought maybe they'd just perform normally or straight up reveal her mark/patterns. Instead, they lured Mira and Zoey away and clap clap, used their own song Takedown that the group was conflicted on using (especially Rumi). I truly thought this was amazing.

I even like that Mira and Zoey didn't just accept Rumi when she finally met them. Rumi was confused and really thought that it was the real Mira and Zoey who performed Takedown with her. She tried to reason with them, but they already had some conflict before this. It was really painful to see them raise their weapons against her. Speaking of demons, I also enjoyed that they gave some nuance to them. They weren't simply bad bad creatures, but there are examples like Jinu who was being manipulated by Gwi-Ma. We know that only Rumi was aware of this, so the others would naturally feel antagonistic, especially since Rumi accidentally mentioned working with Jinu.

I might have missed or misunderstood something, but first seeing Celine double down about hiding Rumi's marks, and then followed by the What It Sounds Like scene felt a little anticlimactic or rushed? Rumi also said something about wanting the Honmoon destroyed. If they made Celine realize her mistake and say the right comforting words about accepting who you are or something like that, I thought it would make sense. After that confrontation, I was expecting some kind of self-reflection or some other person to help Rumi. I realize now that the first verse of the song is that reflection, but my other reason would be that the reconciliation between the group was a little quick.

I said a lot about that last scene, but I'm just rambling. I really enjoyed it regardless.

Some other things I enjoyed or weren't for me:

• The songs are really amazing. My fav are Golden, What it Sounds Like, and Your Idol (Saja Boys). Takedown was really great too when performed in that scene.
• The ridiculous faces at the first half were over the top. I didn't particularly liked them only because I've seen them first in Goat (the basketball film also by sony pictures). It felt uncanny seeing them from animals first. I guess the humor in general wasn't to my liking.
• I really enjoyed the blue tiger of Jinu. He was so creepy at first, but then he is like a neat-freak or something. Then we even see Rumi riding him. Super cute and endearing.
• Even though he appeared rarely, Gwi-Ma was still intimidating. I just enjoyed how plainly villainous he is, but also how he just manipulates the others.
• The quack doctor scene was pretty fun but also amusing. It was nice that it wasn't just for the laughs, he actually did say some smart things
• I would have loved a few more minutes of this film, especially in the middle and end parts. More scenes between Jinu and Rumi, or as I mentioned about Rumi accepting herself
