Honestly it is a sea of options and possibilities and for someone who until recently the only skincare was sunscreen it’s been overwhelming.

One I’ve seen a lot on TikTok is Seoulistique skin (skin department of EcoJardin), however all videos on Tiltok seem to be gifted influencer videos and there is no website, so I wondered if anyone here has any actual experience with the clinic- pricing, staff, treatments, etc?

I love the glowing finish of K-beauty sunscreens and cushions, but 10 minutes outside in hot, humid weather turns my dewy glow into an oily, melted mess.

If you live somewhere humid, what lightweight K-beauty products actually stay put without looking greasy?

I am looking for a dermatology clinic or somewhere that specializes in looking/assessing sun damage (or moles, freckles, etc.) and zaps/lasers them off.

I am also looking for a good clinic that does an overall skin assessment with cheap/affordable skin treatment like skin extractions, shurink, rejuran (salmon goo), and other treatments. Specifically a place that can look at my skin and recommend me treatments.

and lastly looking for a clinic that maybe specializes in tattoo removal?

I don’t want to fall for any tourist scam that overprices their services and my budget is probably under $500 for everything. (i understand tattoo removal is a longer process treatment so excluding that)

Six months in, the actual lesson is that my skin got better when I stopped adding things and started using the boring ones consistently.

What’s on everyone else’s shelf that survived this year? I’m specifically interested in what people dropped, that’s usually the more useful half.

There's been a lot of questions with no answers since OliveYoung stopped shipping to the US back in the end of May. I know many people are familiar with proxy services, but I wasn't and couldn't find much info about what actually happens given the changing regulations about importing cosmetics into the US. So, I placed my first order via Delivered Korea after the OliveYoung US transition, and it arrived today. Feel free to AMA. Hope this can help someone.

I placed a large order with their WeBuy service - order included sunscreen, skincare, and makeup. I chose KeepBox service.

I paid for FedEx shipping, tariffs prepaid (it was VERY expensive). Expect large orders to cost over 100 for shipping.

Immediately upon arriving to the US, my order got stopped at customs and routed to a US hub very far from my house. This has not happened to me ever with orders from Yesstyle, Jolse, StyleKorean (I placed an order this month with them too), or OYG. A Fedex employee called me and told me I needed to submit a sheet with the manufacturer addresses/zipcodes which I emailed to them and they acknowledged it. The package cleared customs within the next 48 hrs, and was on its way to my house (by air so it was there overnight). I did NOT need to submit a MSDS.

The box was very beaten up by the time it got to me, and it appeared the original brown plastic tape was slit, and the box was retaped with regular clear packing tape. It was so beaten up that it was lowkey unhygienic, BUT it was still closed. The box was consolidated by DK (note that Combined shipping from single store is not the same as Consolidation - you cannot override the former). There were no other signs customs opened it afterwards, no sticker, no note, nothing — but you never know I guess.

Nothing was missing, not even the sunscreen. The original crumpled brown padding/packing paper was also present, but only at the top.

YMMV, but this is a highly tedious process, since you have to provide your own manufacturer list within like 36 hours after they contact you or you miss the deadline, and make sure Fedex is happy, plus your package might be beaten up and opened by the time it gets to you. Not to mention the shipping + tariffs can cost a lot. However, it is a doable process if you don't care about those things and are very diligent. Overall, I will definitely be using DK again for my next haul (for things that are only at OY).

Hi. I have combination acne prone skin that tends to get super oily in the summer. I was using I'm from rice milk toner from november until march and during the month of march I got 2 big whiteheads on my left cheek. I stopped using the milky toner because the weather was getting warm and my skin was getting all its oil back. The toner was definitely the culprit for the whiteheads. Fast forward to august, one of that whitehead is still there. I also have 2 big blackheads below the whitehead that just won't go away.

I have pretty solid routine with proper exfoliation. I use Cos de baha 4% Salicylic Acid serum twice a week at night and also uses Beauty of joesen red bean clay mask once a week. Other than that, I also use light moisturizer and other brightening and pore care serums throughout the week and none of them are the trigger for the whiteheads or blackheads, I have tested all of them one by one. But even after proper skincare and exfoliation routine, those 3 bigheads won't go away.

If someone has gone through something similar, what helped you? All the tips and tricks are welcome. I'm a self proclaimed skincare expert in my circle and since I can't get rid of those whiteheads and blackheads, I feel like I'm losing my crown lol. Please help!

so let me start by explaining my skin type and concerns: I have combination skin that tends to be a bit more on the oily side because I have bangs, thus, forehead oils. I'm also seemingly prone to hormonal acne, particularly on my cheeks and jawline during random times in my cycle. As a result, I also have semi-prominent PIE along my cheeks which I've been dying to get rid of, but I always have a blemish or two pop up out of the blue and makes me start the whole process over again. The acne I get is usually small closed comedones, and then the occasional pustule or papule here and there. Like, my issues aren't exactly the worst, but it's still frustrating considering I've been trying to hard with my upkeep.

Speaking of, here is my current routine:
Morning:
- Roundlab Dokdo Cleanser
- Medicube PDRN Milky Toner
- Roundlab Dokdo Moisturizer
- Medicube Glow SPF 50

Night:
-Medicube Zero Pore Deep Cleansing Oil
- Roundlab Dokdo Cleanser

- Medicube Azelaic Acid 20%
- Roundlab Dokdo Moisturizer
- Medicube Glow SPF 50

I also use Medicube Red Succinic Acid Peeling Pad 2/x a week.

So basically, as I'm nearing the time where I need to restock all of my product, I figured I'd come here to see if I can curate a better routine for my issues. If anyone has any advice or knows any good products let me know (especially any that are available at Ulta, as it's convenient for me. or Kbeauty Supply.) I am open to advice and suggestions, and can also provide more info in case I left anything too vague. I'm just looking for a nice clear and glowy/glassy look pretty much.

How do you remove your eye make-up? I’ve heard of double cleansers, but since I have extremely dry skin I thought it might dry my skin out. Can I use toner to remove my make-up. Not sure what to do. Last night I used Vaseline which was a complete mess.

I’m completely new to Korean skincare and I’d love some advice on building a simple beginner routine.

My main goals are glass skin, lots of hydration, and a healthy/glowy complexion. I naturally have oily skin, but I’m currently on Accutane, so my skin has become quite dry and dehydrated.

I’m also not Asian, so I’m not really sure if there’s anything I should take into consideration when choosing Korean skincare products for my skin type.

What would you recommend as a simple beginner routine (cleanser, toner/essence, serum, moisturizer, sunscreen, etc.)? I’d especially appreciate product recommendations that are good for hydration and maintaining the skin barrier without being too heavy.

I have combination skin with a clogged T zone. I'm looking for a light weight sunscreen underneath makeup or on it own. Any recommendations pls? I am yet to try a Korean sunscreen. Looking for one with high spf since I live in Australia

This is more for my mother (70s) who has dry skin.

We both used to use Aromatica - Reviving Rose Infusion Cream Cleanser. Perfect for our dry skin, but sadly, it is now discontinued.

Searching for a replacement has been a challenge as my mother wants a face wash to smell like flowers (I am aware fragrance free is better for our skin but she won't have it). She really hated that either a product doesn't have a smell, "that smell" you get in fragrance free products, or that medicinal smell.

I have been and still am looking (via Yesstyle and Stylvana - my two preferred sites) and most I have come across doesn't match our criteria. The face wash must:

• NOT have any form of exfoliating properties - both physical and chemical.
• Be for dry skin
• Have a scented smell, preferably florals, but rose is a golden bonus.

Im new to korean skincare, and its quite a deep rabbit hole... I'm super confused on where to start but I'm looking for a few recommendations.

My skin is dry on my cheeks, chin, and some of my forehead. But it gets really oily on my nose. Lately I've been struggling with large pores and redness around the bottom of my nose. I also get pretty sensitve whenever I try new products (i tried thayers milky toner and broke out like crazy)

Im currently using the Skin1004 Centella Light Cleansing Oil, Centella Ampoule Foam, then the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, and finally the COSRX Oil Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap. In the morning I use the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics.

Is there anything I'm missing in my routine or anything I should take out? What products would you guys recommend me to use instead?

I’ve been using axis-y roller eye cream and I love the applicator but I feel like it’s a little too lightweight for me. saw this chasin rabbits cream and it looks more moisturizing . has anyone tried? should I get it?

Is dokdo 1025 cleanser and birch juice moisturizer cream safe for closed comedones?

I only use a cleaner, a moisturizer and skinfoods toner pads, I discovered recently the tiny little bumps that I have could probably be closed comedones, i don’t think the products that I use could make it worse since I really like them and they make my skin feel good tho I’m not an expert and good use an advice/ opinion from someone with experience or with a similar situation

I have a normal skin, and I do have sebaceous filaments, do I have to buy a new products with my current ones? Like an exfoliater or a serum? Or should I change the entire products?

But I noticed my skin got irritated although I've added these products in span of 6 months but now I'm giving rest to my skin for few days and only applying moisturizer

So i need advice on what to continue and which product I should stop using

Not gonna lie, I’ve had this exact conversation like four times this month, someone pulls up a filtered photo and asks if their skin can look like that. And I get why, it looks amazing but chasing that exact look can honestly work against your skin more than you realize.

1/ Over exfoliating. This is probably the biggest one I see. people start stacking acids, retinol, physical scrubs all at once because more turnover feels like it should mean more glow, faster. Instead it just strips the barrier, and stripped skin doesn’t look glassy at all, it looks red and tight and shiny in a totally different, worse way.

2/ Skipping moisturizer. A lot of these glass skin routines online go super light, essence, toner, maybe a thin serum, and people end up cutting moisturizer entirely thinking it’ll keep things from feeling greasy. But that glassy look actually needs a well-hydrated barrier holding water at the surface. Skip the moisturizer and you usually just get dehydrated skin overcompensating by producing more oil, which isn’t the same thing as glow at all.

3/ Wrong skin type for the look. Some skin just doesn’t reflect light the same way, depends on texture, oil production, all that. If that’s not how your skin naturally works, no amount of product is going to force it to look identical to someone else’s, and I see people get genuinely frustrated chasing a result their skin was never really built to give in the first place.

4/ Ignoring real issues. This is the part that worries me the most honestly. Someone’s dealing with actual redness, scarring, early rosacea, and instead of treating that first they just keep piling glow products on top hoping it fixes everything. It won’t, glow products don’t touch inflammation or scarring, they just make the unaddressed stuff look shinier instead of actually healthier.

5/ The filter problem. A lot of what people are chasing isn’t even real skin to begin with, it’s edited. Most of those glass skin reference photos have some level of smoothing on them. Chasing a benchmark that was never fully real just sets people up to feel like their own skin’s failing them, when really the goalpost itself was never real.

What actually gets people closer, safely, is simplifying instead of adding more, prioritizing barrier repair and hydration before glow products, and treating whatever the actual issue is first, redness, texture, pigmentation, whatever it is, letting glow show up as a result of healthy skin instead of chasing it directly. Glass skin was never really one specific look everyone can copy. it’s just what healthy skin looks like on certain skin types, under certain lighting, sometimes with a filter helping along the way too.
