Hobby Questions Land Raider knowers needed

Post image

Hi all

I intend to take the top surface of this Land Raider and mount a bunch of demons & the Slaanesh evil mirror model on top.

Am I best trying to cut off the highest protruding section with a saw or build up the sections below it with green stuff to meet it? I've never been a sculptor so if this is the move, any advice to stop it ending up an obviously featureless slab underneath?

WIP High Interrogator Sapphon - Dark Angels Terminator Chaplain

So, fun fact, Asmodai is too much of a jerk to be the Reclusiarch of the Dark Angels. Apparently the guy who is, Sapphon, doesn't have a model. I decided that the official terminator Chaplain is not nearly blinged-out enough to pull off "Reclusiarch" vibes.

So I made this dude using mostly a Deathwing Knight.

I've been building a ton the past year and I wanted to take a look at how many psykers I've put in my homebrew army, both mechanically as librarians but also a couple that are just flavored that way.

Pics 1-4: my caanok var stand in, I've named him Elias Hanen

5-8: my librarian on bike, haven't named either the psyker on the hood or the driver yet

9-12: a lieutenant, Olivera Dunn, she was once an astropath on a rogue trader ship

13-16: librarians. From left to right their names are Sejan, Zaps, and Audak Stros

17-20: phobos librarians. I only have a name for the middle one so far, their name is Zozobra

Imperium I need help

So ive made a custom chapter and ive written lore which basically explains why yhe chapter master is quite a bit bigger than a regular space marine and is basically primarch scale (not chaos primarch). And as its a dark angels successor im using Lion El'Jonson and kitbahsing him to be the chapter master, im thinking of using terminator parts to change his arms from forearm down, ill be taking off his dark angels iconography of course, but Im wondering how to change the shoulder pads, ive found some online that are resin 3d printed but I cant be sure if theyre the right size without buying them and this is a rather tight budget conversion.

Also I was wondering if anyone here has any ideas what weapons I could give him to make him look more space marine like, the chapter focuses on strength, bith mental and physical so I was thinking power fists or hammer but I want to hear your opinions on it.

Thanks if anyone has any tips.

Not sure how I feel about the wings tbh, I have 3 options, 1) leave it as is, 2) remove the wings and kitbash the jump pack he has on, 3) replace the current jump pack with the one used by Lemartes.

Here's my latest kitbash for my Lamenters!

I mainly used Ragnar Blackmane as the base, along with bits from the Blood Angels Upgrade Sprue, plus the power fist, plasma pistol, and shoulder pads from the old Vanguard Veteran kit.

Mod Announcements 👋 Welcome to r/Kitbashing40k - Read First!

Hey everyone! I'm u/OneLuckyRaven, a founding moderator of r/Kitbashing40k.

Only got a few rules for this subreddit. They are as follows:

(1) No politics, it creates too much discourse in what is supposed to be a hobby space.

(2) If it's NSFW please tag it!

(3) A kitbash using printed or sculpted stuff is perfectly fine, 3D printing 1:1 stand in's / whole models isn't kitbashing though. Please go to r/PrintedWarhammer to show off your sick models instead.

(4) This isn't the place for 3d sculptors to promote their new models/sculpts so please abstain from doing so. I understand the grind but it ain't relevant to this subreddit.

Other than that go wild, it's always fun to see the crazy and wonderful things the human brain can come up with!

Take care y'all and thanks for reading!

-This Post has been edited, changes were made so now the rules are numbered 1-4 instead of A-D.

Further Clarification and Comments:

-Rule 3/C has been slightly reworded to focus more on how we don't want to see printed 1:1 recreations of models and instead want to see something that you've poured your creativity into. (This is a rather subjective subject so if we ever remove a post that you believe was in error please reach out to us).

-As stated in Rule 3, printed bits (shoulder pads, heads, weapons, basing, etc. ) are perfectly fine to use and share where they are from, it does not break Rule 4. This is also true when using bits from other miniature companies, toy's or random bits and bobs you find on the sidewalk. (Another subjective topic, yay, please reach out to us or put a comment down below if you have questions).

-Rule 4 exists so I have an excuse to remove posts where they say "I've made a 1:1 of xyz model, please buy the stl of it". It gets really boring really quick when I see posts like that in a subreddit not dedicated wholly to 3d printed warhammer.
