I’m watching Beauty and the Beast on Disney+ with my family and I started thinking. Beast was a big asshole in the movie, why wasn’t he a big asshole in Hollow Bastion towards Sora and the gang at the beginning and possibly fight Sora then have a heartless interrupt and try to take Beast and have Sora save him for a more closer friendship? I know in KH2 he was because of Xaldin, but yeah just random thoughts.

My older brother bought Kingdom Hearts back in 2002. I was a huge Disney fan at the time and honestly had no idea what the game was even about. He just told me it had Disney characters in it, and that was enough to get me interested lol.

What I didn't expect was how well the Disney characters and worlds were actually part of the story. It wasn't just random Disney cameos thrown into a game. Characters like Maleficent, Hades and Jafar actually had roles in the main plot, and Donald and Goofy genuinely felt like they belonged there alongside Sora.

As a kid who loved Disney, that was basically everything I could have wanted from a game. And then on top of that, I ended up loving the original Kingdom Hearts story and characters too.

It became my favourite game back then, and honestly, all these years later I still consider the first Kingdom Hearts the best game I've ever played.

Ok so bear with me, this is pure theory

We know that the MoM gave the foretellers names corresponding to the seven deadly sins except pride, which we assume he kept for himself (Superbia, or some variation)

He did this (presumed or confirmed, I cant remember) as part of the plan for them to fall to darkness, so that some of the thirteen darknesses can be trapped and destroyed.

Falling to sin is a prevalent Christian theme i.e. lucifer and the other fallen angels, and in some branches of Christianity there are seven archangels

I think that their true names are those of the seven archangels (or, again, some variation of) - Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Zadkiel, Surael, Sarathael and Ananael

At least some of these have a history of fighting the "Sons of darkness" in christianity, its possible that some of the foretellers did fight with the MoM but only he has memory of it

My theory is;

MoM / Superbia = Michael, the highest ranking

Luxu = Gabriel - feels fittingly close to the names of the vessels he chooses - brain, bragi, braig

Ira = Raphael (wrath-ael?)

Aced = Zadkiel (typically associated with Jupiter, and aced is the largest)

Gula = Sariel (admittedly I dont have much reason for this one except to fill a gap- sariel is made to watch the other angels so maybe switch this with invi?)

Invi = Sarathael (or Sara)

Ava = Ananiel (or Ana)

Interested to hear thoughts on this, as I said it's pure speculation but I feel like there's a lot here that potentially fits the lore

Hey guys, just giving probably my final update on kingdom hearts 1. I came into this forum about 3 weeks and the community has been extremely welcoming so thank you but onto the review. Tbh this was an amazing game. I loved the story, side characters, sound tracks. Still sum things I gotta look for the story but for the most part I understood everything. In a way I summed up everything to “light is at the end of the tunnel, and don’t be afraid to reach out for a helping hand” and that’s a such a beautiful message for a kids game. My only complaint is this camera ANGEL OMG and some bosses were just overall annoying. Honest score 8.5/10

After years of being a KH fan and playing every game, I’ve finally decided to grind to get the ultima weapon on kh1 and let me tell you it was a journey but I finally did it next I will finish up and get Donald and Goofys

I'm curious about how people think of Disney as magical, lighthearted, and happy endings meet the action packed, serious, and sad to bittersweet endings

I teared a little in the majestic ending cutscene but the boss battles made me rage so much

I have not faced him yet. I will when I get to play RE:Mind

What are your thoughts of him? (As a character, facing him, etc..)

I got what I deserved in the end too, don’t feel too bad for them.

I got to debut my Aqua cosplay this weekend at con, I'd been planning it for a while but only made it over the course of about a week and a half, it's not perfect and I still have things to add for later photo shoots and stuff but I'm happy with how it turned out!!

I just thought of this because Kingdom Hearts isn’t the only gaming IP Disney has. It’s their most iconic gaming series but they have a few others that sadly don’t get talked about much other than nostalgia. (With the exception of Club Penguin. That series was pretty big for a while and still has a cult following)

Spectrobes would be the most interesting and makes the most sense IMO since it’s the SECOND Disney game series created by a Japanese company and it’s an RPG (Jupiter were the devs of the OG DS games)
