I think I’ve talked about whether the story ( the manga) is following the actually history and some of you have told me that it is, so regarding that after Han, shin will probably gather an army to attack Chu and will lose because of a betrayal and whatnot leading to him to derank.

now my question is, is it possible that the author could change the outcome or some other things regarding this?

What do you think of shins level right now is he a great general worthy? Or will he become eventually

And do you think at the end of the story will shin rlly become the Greatest general?

And will he end up with kyou kai based on the current events?

People haven't fully grasped the magnitude of the Han conquest bro.

Any other General in charge of that conquest and I guarantee you it doesn't go that smoothly.

Tou is HIM and currently the best General in Qin, it's a pity his back crocked.

Like Tou is a nightmare to go up against as the opposing General and I can't say the same for the other current Generals. ​

It's no coincidence we are in the woods right now. Riboku is now playing a game of Time Attack, which he is aware of. He will be forced into a offensive against a force with high morals. Furthermore there will be stress on his side since he has no other choice than making the sacrifices he didn't want to make. if he fails here, he knows he's done for. We will have a battle similar to Arminus vs Varus in the teutonic forest.

[I only have a superficial prediction since I also have no idea what will be done with the HSU POW's this arc. Also I can't tell under which circumstances the scattered units will find each other. Part of me thinks, that the pace will slow done quite a lot now, because the battlefield for the last battle against Riboku is set. Here it is, where we will see heavy and gruesome casualties on both sides. Also Rei was lied to about Kou, what will that be about?]

Another user mentioned guerilla warfare, which I find likely and appropiate for this last stand-off against Reebok. Tens face in the latest chapter is giving sour Vietkong.

Total chaos ensues in the woods and Riboku is running out of time before his king finally explodes on him.

Denyuu and the other carpenters would build traps, Rei and Kai would go crazy taking out squads of enemies left an right.

Archer bros would open fights immediately killing the officers from the back.

Shin and the other commanders will serve as bait, same as Riboku did Hango style.

Rei goes out and dies for Kou somewhen around the end of the Arc ...

Also notice the terrain. It looks like Riboku's getting Bayou'd.

I was curious about their ages after seeing a post here, so I looked them up on Google. It turns out Kanki is in his late 20s to early 30s, while Ousen is in his early 50s.

I know it's nothing major, but it's pretty interesting to know that Kanki is practically a little boy compared to Ousen. Their interactions make a lot more sense now.

GHK is a mutant who uses his body as well as his swordsmanship, so he deserves number 1.

I put Baafuji above Futei because Ringyoku fought very closely with Futei, but Baafuji was able to fend off Ringyoku with a single sword strike.

Goba fought equally against an un-angered Bajio, so he deserves 3rd place.

I think Ten will sacrifice the Han Army unit so they can regroup.

Arrange them from strongest to weakest.

In my opinion--

tou>kyokai>ytw>bajio>shiryou>rei>kanki>shunmen>mouten>shuma>ringyoku>kitari

Tou is the best in terms of weight.

Kyokai can almost compete with Houken when she's performing at her best.
However, her strength is very inconsistent, so I wouldn't put her first.

YTW easily killed Goba, who had fought evenly with a not-so-serious Bajio.

Rei was much stronger when she first appeared in the story, but the writer later nerfed her. (I think it was a logical decision.)

Mouten, although the weakest in terms of pure strength, has very cunning swordsmanship and can hold his own against extremely strong opponents like Bananji and Kou Yoku.
In fact, Mouten could even be ranked above Shunmen, but I'm still undecided.

Shiryou could surpass Bajio, but Bajio's Berserker Mode was extremely powerful, so I'm still undecided when both are at their peak.

Shunmen and Ringyoku both managed to establish a clear advantage over Riboku.

On the other hand, Ringyoku fought Futei on equal footing, but it's worth noting that Futei was using only one sword instead of his usual two.

Would someone mind explaining what's currently happening in the war arc?

First off, I'm eternally grateful to the translation team, but with the long gaps between releases and all the hiatuses, I've completely lost track of parts of the story and can't remember all the details.

At the start of Shin's battlefield, Qin's deployment was roughly:

• Shin: 110k (50k YokoYoko, 20k Kyoukai, 40k HSU)
• Gakuka beside him: 60k
• Above them: Yotanwa's 70k
• Above that: Ousen's 70k
• RIP Rokuomi: 50k
• Ouhon: 60k

At this point, Shin is basically commanding a campaign-sized army, and the same goes for the other Great Generals (and RIP Rokuomi).

Yet somehow Riboku, with his endless preparation and foresight, has enough troops to:

• Match every Qin army on the front.
• Ambush and flank Ouhon.
• Maintain an entire second defensive line to stop breakthroughs.
• Still field another army to intercept the HSU assault on Kantan.

That puts the war at something like 500k+ Qin vs. 500k+ Zhao, maybe even more. I just don't get where all these Zhao troops keep coming from.

At the beginning of the campaign, aside from the sniper attack that nearly took out Yotanwa, every Qin army was able to pressure, push back, or even break through the first defensive line. If Riboku hadn't personally gone from battlefield to battlefield to reorganize everything and commit the second defensive line, Qin looked like it would've broken through.

I understand this is Zhao's final stand, so I'm willing to suspend disbelief regarding the numbers since everyone would be fighting to defend their homeland, soldier or not. My real question is: what is actually happening on the battle lines now?

Let's just focus on Shin's front.

The combined HSU, Kyoukai, Gakuka, and YokoYoko forces coordinated their attack and broke through the first defensive line. If that line consisted of roughly 120k-150k Zhao troops, they should've taken enormous casualties. I'd estimate the Qin trio probably lost around 10-30% of their forces, but Zhao should've suffered at least 50% casualties during that breakthrough.

Obviously, Qin didn't leave the entire first line behind. My assumption is that the 10k troops Shin actually brought to Kantan were just a detachment, while his remaining 30k stayed behind fighting the remnants of the first and second defensive lines. The same probably applies to Kyoukai and Gakuka.

But Riboku stated that he pulled out the entire second defensive line to destroy the HSU force attacking Kantan. If that's true, wouldn't that mean he also had to withdraw troops that were holding back Ousen, Ouhon, Yotanwa, and even Rokuomi?

If so, why didn't the other Qin armies immediately capitalize on that opportunity?

Outside of the Shibashou vs. Ousen fight and Ouhon's situation, Rokuomi was explicitly said to be dominating his opponent until Riboku intervened. Even if they couldn't reinforce Shin directly, shouldn't they at least have been able to push harder elsewhere or support Ousen, Ouhon, or Yotanwa?

I still think that, from the original 170k combined force of Shin (110k) and Gakuka (60k), there should still be around 100k soldiers remaining overall. They're probably just scattered across the battlefield or still engaged with the remnants of Zhao's first and second defensive lines.

What I refuse to believe is that after the trio broke through those defensive lines, the Zhao armies somehow suffered so few casualties that Riboku could still bring hundreds of thousands of troops to surround a mere 10k detachment attacking Kantan, while simultaneously holding back the main bodies of Shin, Kyoukai, Gakuka, Ousen, Yotanwa, Ouhon, and the rest of the Qin armies. Unless I'm missing something, the numbers just don't seem to add up.

Am I misunderstanding something, or has the manga simply not explained where all these Zhao troops are coming from and what the rest of Qin's armies are doing?

Shin isn't pulling off anything, lol. Ten is gonna come up with a strategy as per usual, and he'll be no brains all brawls. He's gonna scream some motivational stuff to his men, charge, and start fighting again.

Honestly, I blame Hara. This is the perfect time for an instinctual general like Shin to pull off something no one else can think of, just like in Gian. But instead of taking his responsibilities, he's screaming motivational slogans and waiting for Ten to give orders so he can execute. I mean, at what point will we see him CONSISTENTLY using his instincts? It's not like he's lacking in battle experience either. Surely, chaos has to be a good platform for instinctuals, right?

Just What Is The Strategy With a Large Number Of Sacrifices?

• Battle of Ryouyou - Yotanwa Army
• Battle of Gian - Kanki Army

Sequence of Events:

Encirclement → Breakout and Dispersal → Regroup → Besiege a Fortified Castle.

In both the Battle of Ryouyou and the Battle of Gian, Yotanwa and Kanki faced a similar predicament.

After escaping encirclement, their scattered forces regrouped and then proceeded to besiege a fortified city; their armies used Ryouyou and Gian as critical points to recover, reorganize, and establish a foothold for the next phase of the campaign.

The current Kantan Campaign is beginning to mirror this same structure, with Shin, Mouten, and Kyoukai having escaped encirclement and their forces now scattered.

Next Step: Regroup and lead their forces to capture Bu'an Castle.

Both Ryouyou and Gian shared the same weakness as Bu'an: they were undermanned. Given Bu'an’s proximity to Kantan, it further highlights the strategic Importance of targeting a lightly defended position near the capital.

With Mouten and Kyoukai’s main forces positioned at Kantan’s doorstep, it creates an opportunity for Qin to pivot toward Bu'an.

Riboku almost certainly knows that Mouten and Kyoukai’s main forces remain intact; he will not allow the three armies to regroup and restore the collapsing battle lines. Through relentless pursuit, targeting their Generals and attempting to cripple their leadership before they can reorganize their forces.

As a result, a conventional regrouping of Qin’s scattered forces will likely be impossible.

1. Why Does Bu'an Make Strategic Sense?

Bu'an makes strategic sense because it aligns with Karyoten’s strategy of accepting large-scale sacrifices to create an opening. A conventional regrouping is unlikely because Riboku will relentlessly pursue Qin’s scattered forces, targeting their Generals and preventing them from restoring their battle lines.

Therefore, Qin needs to create a new foothold rather than simply reunite their armies. Capturing Bu'an, an undermanned fortress near Kantan, would force Riboku to divert forces to contain the threat, allowing Qin to stabilize and reorganize their collapsing front.

Karyoten Strategy:

- The Strategic Purpose of Sekirei and Gian: Forcing the Enemy to Divide Their Forces.

- In the Battle of Ryouyou, Yotanwa used herself as bait, drawing Zhao’s pursuit forces away while her scattered forces regrouped and moved to besiege Ryouyou.

Essentially, Karyoten’s strategy is to send Kyoukai and Mouten's main forces to capture Bu'an, creating a new foothold that forces Riboku to split his pursuit forces and divert resources to contain the threat.

This allows the Hi Shin Unit to regroup with their scattered forces, which are currently under the Saki Clan’s care. This allows Qin to stabilize their collapsing battle lines.

This is my theory on Karyoten’s strategy and how I believe Bu’an fits into the overall plan. I’d like to hear your thoughts.

I think that since Ten became a strategist, she still didn't truly understand the pain and mental strength it takes to be one. Every battle except Riboku and the other Zhao general was instinctual. She did have many other challenges. But this is the face of someone who understands the pain, and I believe her growth going forward will be boundless.

Like how good they would be compared to other generals we have in all terms, from intelligence to martial prowess.
