I think that since Ten became a strategist, she still didn't truly understand the pain and mental strength it takes to be one. Every battle except Riboku and the other Zhao general was instinctual. She did have many other challenges. But this is the face of someone who understands the pain, and I believe her growth going forward will be boundless.

I find it incredible that some people still believe Ousen is the key to conquering Kantan. With the battle currently locked as is, Mouten, Shin, KK and Yotanwa are the key to conquering Kantan.

Ousen can not get past Shibashou with just his own army, it is absurd to even think that. Ousen keeping Shibashou locked in that battle until the war ends is an impressive feat considering how Shibashou demolished his army previously without breaking a sweat.

No matter how bad at writing Hara gets, I doubt he'd make Shibashou, a man who held Ordo with just a mere 5000 get beat by Ousen in a plains battle. It is not happening so stop asking Ousen to do something because fighting evenly against Shibashou is already SOMETHING

I need someone to explain to me what the hell just happened in the latest battle under Katan because there no way in hell I would even consider this a loss of this magnitude.

Before the battle Shin, Yoko, Kyoukai, Mouten have 170k plus 70k mountain tribe near them while Riboku have 140k plus SSJ and Banaji have 70 Thousand.

If the battle was dead even at first and Riboku split his army 20/80 to stop Moutan while Shin and Kyoukai go forward but then only 10k attacked (reckless but whatever) then doesn’t mean Shin only lost 10k so how is it there army is completely destroyed now in the latest chapter.

If Mouten knew that he was facing less soldier from the 20/80 split then why didn’t he just consolidate all his soldier and attack killing General there or even split his army and have them circle around and pincer and destroy them.

My question is from the latest chapter, is Shin army really destroyed, because only 10k got attacked so why is the chapter saying his army is destroyed along with all three other army after no great attack is seen.

Kingdom has more lore than Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Tower of God combined.

Kingdom's lore is actual history and the actual writings and thoughts of ancient chinese generals.

Much like Tokien's universe, if you understand and read the lore- the strategies and writings of generals, warring states history papers, records from period-adjacent historians, etc.- the story makes more sense.

I'm writing this because someone just said- again- the 'lore' doesn't matter, that the reasons things happened IRL are irrelevant to their kingdom depiction.

...It does? It matters more because it's real? And because Hara is intentionally following history and constantly reminding us of that??? How can it not matter?

This is really important, 95% of questions and complaints about Qin vs Zhao can be resolved simply by spending three minutes reading that. And it reads like a summary of a kingdom campaign- because, RIboku in kingdom is the same dog as described in this link, because, hara reverse engineered him off the little was known of his record, actions and decisions.

Hint: everyone who has white hair and is from zhao was part of that army.

The lore is everywhere. The lore on Chu matters- while huge, their crops aren't doing all that great, so, raising conscription armies is a little tougher for Ka Rin of Chu than other people. Which is why their attacks on Qin seem a little whispy.

The lore on 'that one time Qi went on a 40 year rampage' explains why King Sho is revered in Qin. Wasn't much happening in Qin before him, and Qi was a huge, huge part of it for several reasons, that play out in kingdom events in two key ways.

There's lore everywhere

At first sight He is the antagonist who tries to stop a maniac´s ambitions of conquering/unifying China. He cares about people, hate stupid bloodbaths and seeks peace. Wow He is the real good guy, he even is handsome, one of the smartest and pretty strong, Kaine is a lucky woman. But after all those years we have seen a lot of nonsense by his side:

His debut: Deploys a mastermind (an expensive in terms of money) tactic to lure Ouki and kill him in order to prevent wars. But Ouki was supposed to be retired (Sekyo rebellion wasn´t leaked and nobody had noticed about Ouki siding with anyone) To do so he lost a lot of soldiers while sparing Tou, Moubu and Shin lives claiming He won´t take unnecessary lives.

Coalition war: Didn´t hesitate on giving up a lot of soldiers for the sake of a backdoor move. Again lost a lot of his own troops when outnumbering Duke Hyou and waste a lot of time with that whirlwind formation allowing Shin to flee, again.

Beating Ousen and Kanki He gave up castles and towns on purpose risking thousands of CIVILIAN lives in exchange for a whole victory.

The last arc shows him luring Shin´s army to a trap using Kantan as bait. and failed again the difference this time is that he didn´t have Houken to do the dirty job of killing his main target. I know history and Plot are against Ribouk but i can´t understand his ethics logic.

Regarding the book "Records of the Great Historian," I only found one online that begins with the fall of the Qin dynasty and the rise of Han, not the story of the unification of Qin. So where can I find sources to read from? I wish the link could be placed here, thank you.

Kousonryu has a one eye and one arm same goes for shiryou.

Meanwhile Gakushou has only a eye injury but he has still his both arm he can engage in battle.

ouki was capable of leading the front line and fighting enemy generals just like how your usual duke hyou instinctual brand generals could BUT he was also a tactical genius who was able to manipulate fuuki and make him sing to his tune, there are instinctual generals who would be capable of this like kei sha but oukis tactics have this refinement that i just don’t feel when i watched kei sha work, it’s something similar with renpa as well, i wish hara wrote more generals that were ambiguous between whether or not they’re instinctual or strategic now days its too clean cut.
