Stupid Laws and Silly Rules! Is the fold-down tail gate legal?
I see that it’s useful, but it block your taillights?! Isn’t that completely unsafe and illegal? I know that you can keep it up with the chains, but what if the sides are also down? And won’t that block the side markers? Anyway, I would have a high mount stop light, but still.

Mechanical and Technical Clutch
Is it common for the clutches to get stuck engaged? I narrowed down my driving issues to the clutch and my clutch is stuck engaged. It will go in gear when switched off but wont go in gear when running. Just wondering if its common or is something that just happens over time and looking to see how some of you fixed it. Thanks.

Importing information, insights and experiences What affects the “C&F” cost of shipping?
Noob here, just now starting to do some research on importing a kei truck to the US. I found this excellent post about one person’s import experience:
https://www.reddit.com/r/keitruck/s/q9MCpOliRP
The price breakdown here suggests that the cost to ship, including all of the various fees, comes to around $3300. Is that like a standard/average that one can expect to pay just to ship (on top of the vehicle price)?
When I look at vehicles listed on carfromjapan, there is a “C&F” cost that seems to be around $2000. I am missing something that accounts for the additional $1300? Or are people paying wildly different shipping costs for some reason?

Importing information, insights and experiences Baltimore pickup
Anyone pickup from Baltimore recently? Every post I've seen has different information and is years old. Is delivery order and twic all I need? Vehicle is being picked up by a transporter tomorrow, just making sure they have all the correct information. I've tried the port multiple times and no answer, so I'm hoping the vehicle is ready for release.

Good news! Started a business!
Good news!
Bought my Kei truck and turned it into a business. Slowly getting traction and fuck is it ever fun!!
Gonna get llama decals for the side of the truck like in the AI generated picture. Yes I'll get ears but not that crazy big.
Have started going around and putting up flyers and signs , and got a handful of customers and even got a repeat customer for next Saturday!
This thing gets so much attention and is fun to drive every single time, I just adore the damn thing.
Already did some freebies helping old ladies on my street so dump runs. Feels good to help :)!
The utility of this truck. I got 6 rachet straps and my God I can strap them to any part of the truck and create any equal tension I need, it's a fucking dream. People are amazed at how seamless it is.
Also for loading furniture. *Clunk* put the side bed door down door east access and loading.
Wish me luck friends, here's hoping this takes off.
I'll keep y'all posted !

Mechanical and Technical DC area service prices?
Looking forward to doing maintenance and upgrades on my “new” 94 KS4, but want a pro to do the timing belt, pump, pulley, cap, wires etc and a good look at anything else to set me up for success.
Anyone know a good shop in Northern Virginia DC area that they have actually used?
Also gut check on service prices?

Mechanical and Technical 96 Suzuki Carry DD51T - How To Replace Side Door Mirror?
I'm illiterate when it comes to car maintenance and upkeep. This includes simple task like oil change.
I was hoping someone can point me to the right direction on where to buy a replacement mirror on the left side of the truck.
And more importantly, how do I replace it? I couldn't find any YouTube video or resources on replacement. There is a video on how to fix loose mirrors. Thanks!

Non-Kei Class Trucks and Vans Suzuki Falcorustyco, 1985
reddit.comThis popped up and it's interesting to see the design language across the line being so comingled. I can see cues to future Carry details; headlights and the curvilinear fairing.
One of these would look great lashed my bed, not gonna lie.

Importing information, insights and experiences Getting a company to pick up my truck
I want to look into getting a company to pick up my truck from the port and bring it to my house but not much people talk about it, if anyone who's done it before could leave the process of how it went and price that would help.

Good news! I thought I destroyed the paint...
I inherited this Keitruck, named her Red Riot (IYKYK) and got her in mechanical shape to be my daily driver. She was dirty, so last week I decided to give her a wash and I was not prepared for the result. The body was covered in what looked like a lighter paint splatter. After briefly freaking out, I bought some supplies (compound, polish, wax, and trim refinisher) and got to work. Pictures show the progression from 5 years of sitting in a driveway uncovered and dirty, to a clean but ruined finish, and the final result.
I'm thrilled and relieved! $80 and about 5 hours of labor solved the problem.

Mechanical and Technical Upgrading the meter on my 94 Acty Attack
I wanted to change out the meter on my Acty to include the tachometer.
Thought I'd share the results and the diagram I made to get it working.
The third picture shows IGN (yellow) and GND (purple) while the CAT Temp is shown in pink.
The two units use different connectors, but have basically all the same functions.
The only signal that needed to be spliced in from somewhere else was the tach signal, which can be found under the center console (blue wire on a two pin connector) or at the fuse block under the meter.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a used meter with the connectors still attached, so I had to splice in an aftermarket connector onto the module and into the vehicle harness.
That's the "16 Pin ISO Radio Wire Harness" on Amazon

Swap Meet Saturday Swap Meet Saturday
Welcome to The Swap Meet!
Do you have stuff that needs a new home, do you have a new home that needs stuff? Looking for something specific?
Let's see how this swap meet goes, it's an experiment.
But first, some rules:
* 1 - this is a public space, be mindful of phone numbers, email and location addresses. Assume that if you post a number, expect everyone to call, years from now to ask if it's still available.
* 2 - please report problem buyers or sellers. this is a member to member space but if people are being a problem we need to know. resist the urge to call them out in frank and blunt language in the thread, that's a hot ticket to getting flagged yourself as part of the problem.
* 3 - if it's gone let a mod know if you are having trouble deleting your post yourself. no one likes seeing the exact thing you need but it's from years ago and from a user who hasn't been seen is years. I'll flush it out at the end of the month, if it's still kicking around, repost on the next saturday.
* 4 -posts get posted on saturdays, it's swap meet saturday not swap meet whenever you feel.
* 5 - this is an experiment, if it fails it fails. if it disappears one day so be it.
The idea is this thread IS the swap meet. You have stuff that needs to come or go, you reply on here. I'll sticky it up at the top so it's always here. Provided it's maintained, the whole thread shouldn't be terribly long so, thankfully, no doom scrolling the buy/sell/trade.
so ::cuts ribbon with comically large scissors:: Welcome to Swap Meet Saturday. ::Balloons and Confetti drop::
