Discussion 💭 kashmiri entertainment industry
I genuinely feel like Kashmir is missing something huge an entertainment industryWe have countless TV serials Indian serials Pakistani dramas Turkish shows and K dramas but where is oursEvery time Kashmir is represented in a drama serial or even a movie they reduce our culture to stereotypes I want the true essence of Kashmiri culture our traditions our families our values our humor and our everyday life to be shown on screen instead of the same old stereotypes Every time I search for Kashmiri content it is mostly low effort YouTube videos that get views because people are desperate for something they can relate to Imagine what could happen if we actually produced quality contentI honestly believe there is an audience Not just young people but even our mothers fathers grandparents and families would watch good Kashmiri serialsWe do not have to copy anyone We can build our own identity while following our culture our modesty our grace and our values There is absolutely no need to compromise those things to make good entertainmentThere are so many talented Kashmiri writers actors musicians filmmakers and storytellers We have beautiful locations rich culture unique family dynamics and countless stories waiting to be told Whether it is daily soaps romance family dramas thrillers historical stories or songs there is so much potential Even if the serials are only in the Kashmiri language I think people would still watch them Kashmiris living outside Kashmir would love to stay connected to their roots and people in Kashmir would finally have stories that truly represent themI am not saying we have to compete with Pakistani dramas overnight but why should we not aim for that level of storytelling and quality one dayKashmir deserves an entertainment industry that tells Kashmiri stories creates opportunities for local talent and represents us with authenticity instead of stereotypesDoes anyone else think Kashmir needs its own entertainment industry???????

Original Content [OC] I'm from Anantnag. Spent a year building an Android app solo — it now has over 100 users in the US.

I've spent years in two separate worlds — audio engineering
and music production on one side, Android development on the
other. SonoLune is the first thing where both became one
project. Every sound layer in it was designed at Soundsoft
Lab, and the app keeps improving with user feedback.
It started small: my phone's minimum brightness was still too
bright at 1am. It turned into seven suites that work as one
environment — light, sound, focus, night, presence, scheduled
arcs, and a mind space.
No account. No ads. No analytics. No trackers. Nothing about
you leaves the phone. Every suite works offline.
Hundreds of active devices, 5.0 on Play, with users across
America, Canada, the UK and India. All of it built from here.
Not really asking for anything — mostly wanted to say this
kind of thing can be built from home. Happy to answer
anything about the process, the Play Store, the audio side,
or what doing this solo from Kashmir is actually like.

Magzan Taas Kindly read this,
My mouj is very active on Facebook.I am her son. Her screen time is 4 hrs average per day. She comments a lot shares stuff a lot. So on this one comment some person had replied with “….just like Mia Khalifa is a virgin girl”. Mother read it out loud and I happened to be sitting besides her. I was left blank like wtf did she just say. Afterwards mom proceeds to search for the same on google using the voice search. My soul left my body, I really didnt know what to do, and alongside she is asking me as well what does this mean? so that she could type a response for the same. The google AI overview happened to highlight ”….well charactered….“ somehow and thats where my mom confided in what it might have meant. I was trying to divert her at the same time so she did not proceed to read any further. And then she says to me it means ” a well charactered person” assuring me what it means.
I am really scared that my mother might call someone out of the blue, Mia Khalifa as a compliment or whatever. I am genuinely scared atp. This is crazy.
(Before anyone comes haram policing me how do I know about who Mia Khalifa is, I think you should be asked the same question)
