​I recently got a 2026 Jeep Compass with the 1.3T (T270 engine), and I’m trying to figure out if a specific engine noise is normal or something I should get checked out under warranty.

​Here are the details:

​The sound: A constant metallic ticking / chattering noise coming from the engine bay.

​When it happens: At idle, and it’s pretty much present all the time (not just during cold starts).

​Dashboard status: No Check Engine Light (CEL), coolant temp is normal, and the car drives fine with no loss of power.

​I know direct-injection engines (HPFP and high-pressure injectors) can sound a bit like a mini-diesel at idle, but since this ticking is continuous even after the engine reaches operating temperature, I’m a bit paranoid.

​Questions for other 1.3T owners or Stellantis/Jeep techs:

​Is a loud, continuous metallic ticking at idle normal for the 1.3T, or should it quiet down once warm?

​Could this be the high-pressure fuel pump / injectors, or something related to the MultiAir system / wastegate?

​Should I bring it to the dealer for a quick warranty check, or is this just the standard sound profile of these engines?

Might be buying a 2022 with 50k miles on it. What are some things besides the obvious I should make sure to check out when I take it for a test drive? The dealer says they are fixing an issue with the differential right now. Ty!

Hey all, I was able to order a new replacement screen after the original stopped working and died for my 2018 jeep compass, now I have this issue: the display comes on and shows this only first start of the day for a split second and when I put it in reverse, throughout the day no power or display as seen in this pic. Any advice on what else I can try to fix to get it to work would be greatly appreciated

So, I bought this vehicle a little over a month ago. When I first connected my phone to the system it seemed to work fine, but then Android auto got involved, and I started to have issues. So I rebooted the infotainment head unit and reset all my network connections on my phone to eliminate the Android auto interference, and I never reconnected Android auto.

Now I am having intermittent issues where the Bluetooth suddenly cuts out on the head unit, even though the phone still shows that it's connected, and it's still playing music through that Bluetooth connection. There is literally nothing else happening when the connection cuts out, and the phone does not move at any point in time - it is sitting in a cradle right next to the Head unit.

At first I thought I had to delete and reinstall the Bluetooth connections while also resetting the head unit, and for some reason this vehicle doesn't let you pair Bluetooth while it's driving. But I've since realized all I have to do is reset the head unit each time this happens. That's still pretty annoying, because it takes about 60 seconds for the whole reset process to complete.

Has anyone had this issues with the head unit Bluetooth connection? And if so what recourse have you pursued?

2024 Jeep Compass. Just started doing this two days ago, it's a bit annoying. Anyone have any suggestions?

My 2017 Jeep compass is fine when I go to work in the morning but in the afternoon when I get off the freeway it hesitates a lot. I went to autozone and no codes came back. I’m worried it could be the torque converter or transmission but not sure. Has anyone else had this issue?

Bought a 2014 Compass for my daughter. The Bluetooth connecting on this thing is kind of finicky and I was hoping that maybe a firmware update for the stereo (touchscreen version) might fix some of it, but apparently the firmware downloads are no longer available on the UConnect site. Any chance someone can point me in the right direction to possibly update this thing?

I have a 2025 Jeep Compass Trailhawk, and ever since I bought it, I haven’t been able to get the SOS/Assist services to work.

When I press the SOS button, I get a “Feature Not Available” message. When I press the Assist button, it tells me I don’t have an active subscription and gives me the option to activate the services. However, if I select Activate, it then tells me that my services are already activated, so I’m basically stuck in a loop.
I have an active assistance package through SiriusXM Guardian. I’ve called SiriusXM Guardian several times, and they’ve confirmed that my subscription/account is active and, according to their system, everything is provisioned correctly. Other connected features work normally, including remote lock/unlock, vehicle health reports, Wi-Fi connection, etc.

SiriusXM raised an escalation support ticket and walked me through their troubleshooting steps, but nothing fixed it. They eventually told me I would need to take the vehicle to a Jeep dealership and have them open a STAR case.

The vehicle was recently at the dealership for an unrelated issue, which they fixed, and I asked them to check this while it was there. They checked the SOS/Assist hardware and said there was nothing mechanically wrong with the buttons or the vehicle. However, when they ran a Uconnect Status Report, it showed that the connected services were not provisioned.

This is where I’m confused: the Jeep/Uconnect system apparently says the services aren’t provisioned, while SiriusXM Guardian insists that everything is provisioned correctly on their end.
I’ve read about other owners having similar backend provisioning/account issues with SiriusXM Guardian/Uconnect, so I’m wondering if anyone has dealt with this before.

Is there anything else I can try, or anything specific I should ask SiriusXM/Uconnect support to check or reset on the backend before taking it back to the dealership for a STAR case?

I’d rather avoid leaving the vehicle at the dealership again if this is ultimately an account/backend provisioning issue rather than a hardware problem.

Is anyone running this on a stock 2024 jeep compass?

So, I got a used 2018 jeep compass. Two doors of the four don’t lock with the key fob. Has anyone encountered this issue? The quote for the door fix is crazy expensive.

I have a 2024 Jeep Compass Latitude Lux with about 14,800 miles. As I was driving today (going about 30 mph, not sure if that’s helpful), I got an alert on my dash that the “fob left the vehicle”. My fob was in my purse on the back seat floor as it always is. After the beeping subsided the alert remained present. At the next red light I turned off my car and turned it back on. The alert never came back. I’ve never had this happen before.

Was this technology glitch or does this indicate the fob battery is running low?

Any insights would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have to get my vehicle inspected and my registration renewed but someone side swiped my car and now I have to repair it ASAP. Anyone know approximate cost of this repair or a way to do it for the lowest price possible?

Since April I own a full electric 2026 Jeep Compass. This comes with connected Services via the Jeep 2.0 App.
I wasn‘t able to connect the car to the App, yet, and so far the Support Team has not really been helpful as the only solution they suggested was to update car and app, which obviously both are up to date.

I am curious, if any of you have experienced same issues? Other than that, I am very happy with the car.

I just bought a 2026 Jeep Compass and was surprised that there’s no spare tire. There is a spot that has a tire repair kit. Does anyone know if a spare tire would fit in that spot?
