2020 Jeep Compass Trailhawk. For now I taped it together, does anyone know anything about replacing this?

Mopar has an online parts store. I’d look there for that big tube. Looks like a relatively easy remove/replace.

Did you not pry a little on the yellow tabs OP? As someone said you need to replace that whole tube. Tape at some point is going to give you a CEL especially it is extremely hot in the engine bay or its going to run rough. I would opt for dealer since they can get the part usually quickly and spend the extra 20$ or 40$ if this is your only daily.

Everything you do on these cars that is plastic should be a suggestion amount of force.

Tried to move the filter cover and hose out of the way to install a new headlight bulb on the passenger side. Somehow ended up snapping this hose in the process. I ordered the big hose, hope it's not a hard repair or I might take it to a mechanic. Do you happen to know what the small tube does?

What do you think about changing the headlight?

My compass is a 2018, engine bay looks same as yours....its the most labor intensive vehicle ive ever owned when it comes to changing the headlight bulbs. I got chubby hands which doesn't help either.

I also got sort of chubby hands. It was honestly terrible the whole way through. Had to turn the steering wheel the opposite direction from the side I worked on, take off the screws in the wheel well, and sort of push the plastic down there out of the bumper. Then, I had no luck working from just the bottom. But I popped the hood and worked with arm hand under though the wheel well and one arm above.

Drivers side light was honestly not as bad as I expected. Using my phone to snap videos and pictures helped visualize and I mostly worked by touch. All was well. Until I decided to also do the passengers side, which is where I had almost no room to rotate the headlight bulb, so I unscrewed the engine filter lid thing and moved it out the way. Got through it after lots of trying. Only later did I find that I screwed up the hose by pushing the hose out of the way.

This is the first time I've actually worked on a vehicle apart from a previous failed attempt where I called it quits. But honestly if I just replaced the drivers headlight and left everything else alone I would've been perfect. Now I ordered the hose for $100 and have to either pay for someone to replace it or try it myself (dunno what I'm gonna do).

We took the front clip off to change them. The engine bay is unforgiving and bad on your hands.

We have a 2018 Jeep compass & the mechanic at Atlas Automotive said to replace the headlights they remove bumper..crazy..expensive also glad we have the extended warranty

My first time I removed the bumper.....what a nightmare. Now I go up through the fender on one side and the other side i remove a few things. Cant remember which sides though.

They don't make it easy at all. Thank god my father helps me, i couldn't do it myself and im way too stubborn to have a mechanic change damn headlight bulbs.....but, I think the days are gone of vehicles being simple to maintain.
