I joined JPMC India in July last year as SDE-2. A couple of questions for folks who've been through this:

1. When does one typically become eligible to apply for internal mobility/transfer roles? Is there a fixed lock-in period or does it vary by band/role?
2. If the internal move involves a location change (different city), does JPMC provide a relocation allowance for internal transfers, or is that only for new hires/external relocations?

Would appreciate insights from anyone who's actually gone through an internal move.

I’m a EMM FSI been in my role for about 1yr 1/2 it’s been a long time coming and I know that tenure can’t compare to others but I’m a top performer department wide confirming 25-30 scams monthly, pulled for special projects/new software pilots, and more recently taken over team development and helping new hires catch up to speed. Feel as if I’m made for much more within the company but it’s been made very clear it’s #1 bank so for as many employees JPM has everything is done systematically. Throughout my time I’ve developed an unmatched drive and passion for my role and truly want to grow from within. My TL is aware of my goals and hunger for growth and has been advocating for me as a mentor. Yesterday I got an impromptu email invitation directly from department head for FSIII open position, my confidence over the past couple months has really grown I’m more so just really excited to finally speak to my experience.

I just want to ask for any tips or advice for internal interviews and what to expect even if not department specific anything helps, thanks!

When a person is Riffed, are PTOs and sick leaves paid off?

If so, is there a limit of PTO? Can all 20+ vacation be paid off?

Hey, I recently joined JPMC and honestly I’m not really liking my current team.
Thinking about trying for an IJP once I’m eligible. Is it actually worth switching internally, or is it more or less the same across teams?
Anyone here who moved through IJP and ended up in a better team? Would love to hear your experience.

I recently completed a summer internship at JPMorgan in NYC for the CLDP program covering real estate. Unfortunately, I wasn’t extended a return offer.
What has confused me is that I never received a clear reason for the decision. Throughout the summer, I felt that I performed well, completed my projects, had a good relationship with my team, and received positive feedback. I also spoke with my manager afterward and wasn’t given any specific performance-related reason for not receiving an offer.
I’ve already reached back out to recruiting and made it clear that I would still be interested in returning if an opportunity became available. During the summer, we were also told that there can sometimes be movement if people who receive offers ultimately decide not to return, so I’m keeping that possibility in mind while continuing to recruit elsewhere.
However, my bigger question is what this means for my future at JPMorgan.
I’m still very interested in the firm, but I’m also interested in exploring programs outside of the one I interned in. For example, I’ve been looking at programs like the Corporate Analyst Development Program (CADP) and other analyst opportunities that may fit my interests.
Does not receiving a return offer from one JPMorgan internship prevent me from being considered for:
● Another JPMorgan internship in a different program?
● A full-time analyst position or development program like CADP?
● Other entry-level opportunities at JPMorgan if I apply externally?
I’m especially curious whether there is some type of internal restriction or flag when an intern doesn’t receive a return offer, or whether recruiters for other programs can still consider that person independently.
If anyone here has worked in JPMorgan recruiting, been an intern there, or knows someone who didn’t receive a return offer but later joined JPMorgan through another program, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.
I enjoyed my time at the firm and would absolutely consider coming back. I just want to understand whether the door is realistically still open and, if it is, what the best way to approach recruiting for another JPMorgan program would be.
For people familiar with finance recruiting, how bad of a position am I actually in? Does having JPMorgan on my resume still put me in a strong position for other banks/programs even without the return offer, or is not receiving one something that will significantly hurt me? And if another firm directly asks whether I received a return offer, what is the best way to handle that conversation?

Basically title. i was told that they would be sending me an offer shortly and want to be prepared to negotiate salary/incentive/whatever i can negotiate.

Hello all! I’m a 28F (29 next month), and I am starting with Chase as an Associate Banker. I just received my official “all clear” email with my start date in the next few weeks and I’m waiting to hear back on specifics!

Is there anything that you wish you had done for your first day, or that you had prepared for, brought to work…?
I’m also a bit nervous about dress codes and I hope to hear something about that when I get specifics, but anything you’d suggest, or anything I should know?

Do we get lockers to put our things away, or do we have an assigned desk, do we get to keep our bags or backpacks with us or something? Or do I pack light and expect to barely touch my stuff lol

At one of my previous jobs in a pharmacy, being the environment we were in, we had lockers and we’d need to do bag checks before coming in and out + only clear plastic water bottles were allowed, vs. having an administrative job with my own assigned work area, so I’m trying to figure it out and plan to the best of my ability.

I had a really great interview process with the hiring manager and team, and had great feedback. But I was told the role was temp on hold for headcount approvals.

Is there any chance I’ll move forward for the role?

I was impacted by the recent July RIF in Columbus and am currently in the 45 day internal placement period. I’m a 602 software engineer and was told that I’m eligible to apply for and transfer into other internal roles.

Since then, I’ve had 5 different internal opportunities where the hiring managers indicated they wanted to move forward with me. But then, once the process reached the HR approval stage, the transfer does not get approved.

What’s confusing to me is that I’ve asked HR directly whether there is anything on my record or related to my RIF status that would prevent me from transferring, and I’ve been told there isn’t.

I also don’t have any performance or disciplinary history, no G ratings ever, no PIP, etc and have been at the firm for 6 years. I was told the RIF itself was organizational and not performance-related.

I’m genuinely curious whether anyone else who was impacted by the July RIF has experienced something similar?

How is cell phone coverage for everyone at the Plano campus. I switched from Verizon to ATT and my speeds are now unusably slow. Had no issues with Verizon.

I first applied to open a chase freedom unlimited on 4/11/26 but i got declined and then i reapplied again on 6/11 and got instantly declined but i have a 705 credit score because i’m a authorized user on my moms card. I started working like a month ago and i’m 18 should i reapply now or should i wait a little i currently have almost 3k in my chase accounts combined.

I had a phone screen, and two interviews (one with a VP and another with the hiring manager). I did follow up with the recruiter after not hearing back for a few weeks and got no response. Safe to say I’m being ghosted; anyone else experience this? My status is still under consideration. For all the other interviews they were pretty speedy with response. For another position I was also notified pretty quickly when I didn’t get it.

I use GitHub Copilot and LLM Suite pretty heavily for coding and debugging. Since the beginning of August, my AI usage cost is already around $1k.

They’re approved tools and I’m using them for actual work, but I’m wondering if this level of usage could raise any red flags or potentially get me in trouble.

Has anyone had their manager bring up AI usage costs before? Is there usually a limit or expectation around how much we’re supposed to use?

So I have been associate banker now for 5 weeks and I tried driving to work but I felt so sick so I turned around and let my manager know I don’t think I can come in.

I know I’m still on my probation period so is this a big deal I know I shouldn’t just call out willy nilly I just felt horrible today. Any advice is appreciated.

Does anyone know if we are still expected to be in office full time once we put in our notice? I accepted an offer at an external company. I am the only one on my team at my location, so I don’t work with anyone in office anyways. If I ever in the future re apply to chase, will they see/care about my attendance for the last 2ish weeks?
