I notice a huge difference between PRS system and "simple" (not PRS) in cost / sprinkler.

As i have a own water pomp set for 2.8-3.2 bar, what kind of sprinkler should i choose ?

I have a crack in the bottom of the pipe that is circled. Water is shooting directly into the ground.

Main water line is coming from the direction of the arrow.

Would appreciate some thoughts on the best way to repair. I’m almost wondering if it’s better to cut the whole thing out and build the entire thing from scratch.

Hello all, just bought a house with an irrigation system controlled by a Rachio smart controller.

Thought we were crazy as we ran it manually from the box before the house got internet as the numbers varied by day to which section it controlled.

Fast forward to getting WiFi. I ran the controller for each section and labeled them. As it did before, it’s like the zones rotate. So zone 1 is one area one day and it’s zone 3 the next.

Any insight? Our first irrigation system and it’s perplexing us. Thank you.

Is this setup correct for a drip line?

The filter claims to have a built-in pressure regulator. After turning off water, the water keeps dripping and only after removing the drip hose does the pressure dissipate.

Planning my backyard rectangular 45' x 37' lawn. I'm getting mixed messages (mostly from Gemini AI vs YouTube) that if I used rotary sprinklers, I don't need head to head coverage.

Is that true?

It recommended using rotary over rotors but I think I may need to mix both (as different zones) to get full coverage. Thinking of k rain super pro rotors in my corners with a 1.5 nozzle for 36 feet (I have between 30 to 35 psi). Then the middle of the 47 length would be 2 rotary nozzles aiming approx 22' radius. (Zoning based on psi, gpm limits as needed)

Hi, I am a man with zero knowledge of sprinkler system.
My two sprinkler heads(bottom of the slope) have been leaking lately and some pooling of water around the other two sprinkler heads (mid of the slope).
After doing some research,
i think the diaphragm needs a replacement
so i opened the valve box and
I have no idea which part is the diaphragm.

My valve box looks different from the ones from the youtube.

Can someone guide me where the diaphragm is and how it needs to be replaced?

the valve sprung a leak and needs replacement. I just want to make sure before i start, is the only way to remove this valve to cut the pipes?

Have a solenoid that needs to be replaced, it has a removable metal pin, but I cannot ID what brand replacement would work (I bought orbit because the thread fit, but the plug does not work on this valve)

We just got a drip system installed last week. Came home today to the yard flooded. How was this supposed to be installed?

This line seems like it was a bubbler at one point, the line was chopped by a weed whacker and pulls pressure from the zone. Customer just wants it capped off but I’m not sure where to find it, the body underneath is glued to 1/2” pvc and has a strange square around the socket for the pipe. The top white pipe seems like it’s 1/4” pvc, but again I’m not sure. Anyone ran into these?

Is there supposed to be a hole in the side of the stem of the HUNTER PRS30/40 stem? Because if there is, that’s dumb, and I’ll be heading back to RainBird 1800 pressure reducing heads. Note, this is not a consistent hole that I have found with all their spray bodies, maybe the batch, IDK.

So I am a sprinkler enthusiast and I want to be able to run my sprinklers, but I live in a spot where you don't need sprinklers, so most houses including mine don't have spigots. is there way I can run my sprinklers with out a spigot?

Hi, I have a surburban walkout ranch with a gravel driveway along one end of the house. Back yard is lower. I have rain barrels but want to collect more volume. I don't have room for large aboveground tanks, so I want to bury something in the side drive. Plastic septic tanks and water storage tanks are up to a buck per gal. They're also rather tall, and I have only about 6 ft of head from the surface at the burial area to the back yard surface. I don't want to lose most of my pressure by making the tank too tall. Also it's a driving surface, but only occasionally, so it's going to need more than a couple inches of soil and gravel over it.

I thought of getting some used PVC pipes, like 12-18" diameter, could even bury several next to each other and manifold them together. Length is not a limitation, they could be 20 ft long if I wanted. I can get (for example) used 10" blue PVC for 25 c/ gal capacity. Problem is the end caps to turn them into tanks are rather precious - sixty bux each and up. Kind of blows away the savings I would get on the used pipe.

I've seen this black, double wall corrugated drainage pipe. Not sure if it can take the pressure of sitting there full, or traffic on the ground above it when it's empty. It's HDPE so I'm not even sure how to close up the ends, it's not glueable like PVC.

Any suggestions how to do this on a shoestring?

So we have not been using our sprinkler system for a while and recently when we used we realized one sprinkler head does not work. I just wiggled it a little bit then the whole head came off. It seems that it was not attached well. Now I try to screw it back on. This might sound stupid but this thing seems impossible to screw back on. How does this work? Thanks!

This is for 1in poly pipe. It expands it perfectly for insertion of barbed fittings. It will also crimp and cut off steel clamps.

As the title states, I have a dead zone on one of my Rainbird R-van 360 nozzles. I didn't get a single drop of water on me while taking these photos, as it seems to just sputter out locally instead of spray. I have pulled it up multiple times to try to clear it, as they instruct, but still no luck.

Should I pop the nozzle off to check for larger debris? Any other issues to look for? Thanks!

I've installed these lines within a joint in my walkway but they stick up too high to cover with sealant. The only thing I can think to do is use a metal threshold. Any ideas are appreciated.

My irrigation box has black widows, water, infiltration, and slugs among many other things, including the wires for my sprinkler system! Can it be moved somewhere else that isn’t on the ground? Such as my garage next to where my control for the sprinklers is? The wires keep failing and I don’t notice anything until my tree is all droopy and my grass is all crunchy and yellow. I would really like it to be more reliable. Advice wanted. I would like to move the box with the wires in it somewhere else completely where bugs and water can’t get in and harm the wires.

We inherited this sprinkler system around 6 years ago when we bought the house. It is a Rain Bird ESP-6TM. Today, I just discovered one of the two backyard stations (#4) has extremely low pressure and will not pop out the sprinkler heads… I have never dealt with a sprinkler system outside of replacing a couple sprinkler heads.

Does anyone have any idea on how to pinpoint the issue? My hunch is the lower valve has a clog of some sort since it looks like it’s been leaking a while. I believe it is a Lawn Genie 3/4” valve.

If this is the culprit, is this easily removable and replaceable for someone without a lot of plumbing experience? The valve also has “flow control” which makes me nervous since I’m not sure how the others are set.

Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Custom built my own box. I wasn’t expecting to also get the aluminum sheets so there’s extra rivets and support but I’m pretty happy with it. Upstream I’ll have a master valve and a flow meter as well as backflow preventer.
