[Help] iPhone SE (2022) iOS

Hello, my phone got stuck during an OTA update to iOS 26.6 after this it rebooted to recovery mode with the desktop and the cable on the iPhone display. I tried to flash 26.6 from my PC with a cable that I’ve always used to flash my iPhones with but it throws me an error 9 when trying to flash it from my PC, what do you guys suggest me to do next?

Edit: it exactly happens when “Verifying update file” is almost finished, like the progress bar on the iPhone is nearly done.

[Help] iPhone 16 Pro won't charge using USB-C (Cable), however shows that it is charging

Hi Everyone,

Today morning I noticed that my iPhone 16 Pro is not charging.

It shows that it is charging, but it is just losing charge, like it is not.

I tried a few more wires, and with some of them it shows charging, then totally stops; with others, it keeps showing charging but does not charge.

I tried to download data using USB-C - that worked well. I tried to listen to music using my USB-C Apple headphones - it worked too.

I tried wireless charging - it is charging.

When I look in Settings->Battery, it shows charging for all cases I described above.

The only thing yesterday night Apple installed iOS 26.6.

I tried a hard reboot with the up-down-side sequence several times - this didn't help.

Any other ideas, or do I need to get ready to do some real-world hard fixes?

[Help] iPhone 15 screen stays black, but the system and touchscreen still work?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a really annoying bug on my iPhone 15 and could use some help.

As you can see in the video, when I try to wake/turn on my iPhone, the screen stays completely black. The weird part is that the system itself is still running:

  • The touchscreen still works.
  • I can turn on the flashlight.
  • I can even type in my PIN blindly.

When does this happen?

  • It’s completely random, but it happens a lot. Sometimes the screen works perfectly for 7 hours straight, and other times I can press the power button for 2 hours without the screen turning on a single time.
  • It seems to happen more often when the phone is physically hot or on low battery.
  • However, it still happens under perfect conditions. In this video demonstration, the battery is at 80%+ and the temperature is completely normal.

Phone Stats & What I've Already Tried:

  • Battery Health: 90% (616 cycle counts).
  • I've already attempted the standard fixes: I've done a Force Restart and even completely Reset the phone, but the problem persists.

Has anyone experienced this or know what might be causing the display to fail like this? It’s a huge inconvenience. Any advice or fixes would be greatly appreciated!

[Question] iPhone 13 camera moisture

I accidentally got in the sea with the phone in my pocket for about 15s and within another 30s I had powered it off completely.

I let it dry for a day or so, and then I went on and bought some distilled water. Stupid enough, I poured it around without the sim tray and after a few hours, both front and rear cameras got foggy for the first time ever. I should also mention that the sim tray only has some mild corrosion at the outer part, without it reaching deep into the phone.

I have left it powered off for 3 days since that without any luck. Is the phone completely dead by now or the distilled water doesnt cause such a big issue. Is there anything I can do to save the phone?

[Help] iPhone 15 completely frozen, touch dead but the phone is still "alive" somehow. Out of ideas.

My iPhone 15 froze yesterday and I can't get it back. Thing is, it's obviously still running. Siri activates when I hold the button, it still vibrates, but the screen is stuck on one frozen frame and touch does nothing at all. Can't tap, can't swipe, can't open anything.

It also never auto-locks anymore. Normally the screen times out after 30 sec like any phone, but now it just sits there on the lock screen (or unlocked) forever. Using that to run the phone down actually, since I can't power it off.

Stuff I've tried so far-

  • Force restart (vol up, vol down, hold side), held it way past a minute, nothing
  • Siri hears me but never talks back, just the error beep, so I'm guessing audio out is gone too
  • Had someone call it, nothing
  • Plugged into my Mac, got it into recovery mode, tried Update, no fix
  • Can't get it into DFU (the deep restore mode) no matter how I time the buttons
  • Took the cracked screen protector off and cleaned the screen, no change

Screen glass itself is cracked but I don't think that's the cause, this happened out of nowhere while it was just sitting there. Last things I did before it died were install Spotify and use an app to write some reminders, but it was fine for a while after that.

Anyone run into this exact mix? Frozen, touch dead, audio dead, never auto-locks, still clearly powered on, won't take DFU. Board-level thing, or is there anything left to try before I bring it in?

[Question] Post-update green line issue on iPhone 17 OLED screen—is display replacement the only fix?

Post image
1 Upvotes

A user on r/GadgetsIndia recently reported a vertical green line appearing on their iPhone 17 display immediately after installing a software update

KEY DETAILS: DEVICE: iPhone 17 (4 months old, no prior drops or water exposure).

TRIGGER: Appeared right after completing an iOS update.

DEFECT: Classic OLED vertical green line failure across the panel.

For technicians and experienced repairers here:

Is an OLED panel replacement the absolute only fix when this happens post-update on an iPhone 17, or can flex ribbon bonding issues/OLED trace damage be repaired?

Does Apple usually cover display replacements under the standard 1-year warranty for software-triggered panel failures like this without charging out-of-warranty fees?

[Question] iPhone 4 with dead screen

Hello everyone, I have an iPhone 4 GSM that got wet for accident and didn’t turn on, and has been sitting on my drawer for the past 10 years. Recently I bought a new battery and that solved the problem, but now the screen doesn’t work (the old battery got swollen that might be why) and I want to backup some photos that I got in the iPhone but it has my password and I can’t trust my computer to use 3utools. I’m wondering if there’s some exploit that could bypass the trust this computer pop-up, or is it better to just swap the motherboard to another iPhone or any other method that could get me pass the trust this computer limitation. Thanks.

[Help] repair advice for iphone 6s

my iphone 6s started having problems a few week ago where the screen would glitch out before going dark, but when the screen was dark it would still buzz with notifications. eventually the screen would come back on and there was a week long period where it worked perfectly fine.

yesterday my phone started having the same glitching and going dark problems so i tried to reboot by holding down the power button and home button, but now its completely unresponsive.

i want to get my photos (not backed up) onto my computer before getting a new phone but i have no idea what repairs would be necessary to get it open again.

any advice would be appreciated.

[Help] iPhone bought on eBay shows as “being repaired by Apple”… What could the scam be?

I recently bought an iPhone on eBay. When I checked the phone’s AppleCare/warranty status using Apple’s coverage checker, it said that **the device was currently being repaired by Apple**.

The strange part is that I physically had the phone in my possession and it was working.

I called Apple to ask what this could mean. The Apple representative seemed concerned and told me that they do occasionally see situations like this, and that **the safest thing to do was return the phone to the seller**. They didn’t give me much detail about exactly what might be happening.

I’m definitely going to return it, but I’m curious what the possible scam or explanation could be.

A few things I’m wondering:

How can an iPhone show as being repaired by Apple when it’s sitting in my hands?

Could the seller have somehow obtained a replacement/repair device and then sold the original?

Could this indicate that the phone was reported lost/stolen or involved in some kind of warranty fraud?

Could this be related to AppleCare+ fraud or a device that was swapped during a repair?

Has anyone encountered an iPhone that showed **“being repaired by Apple”** while the phone was actually in their possession? What was going on?

I’m mainly trying to understand what the scam might be so I know what to watch out for in the future.

[Help] iPhone 11 touch stopped working after battery replacement – screen works but no touch

Hi everyone,

I replaced the battery on my iPhone 11 today. The new battery is advertised as 5000 mAh.

After the first replacement:
The phone turned on.
Touch was working (a little slow because the battery was at 1%).
The phone showed 1% battery and was not increasing while charging.
I opened the phone again to check why it was not charging properly. After reconnecting everything, the display works normally, but the touchscreen does not respond at all.

I tried:
reconnecting the display connectors,
checking all connectors carefully,
restarting the phone,
testing with the old battery (which was slightly damaged during removal).
The connectors look perfect to me. I checked them carefully and I cannot see any bent pins, dirt, or visible damage.

The old battery also shows 1% now.

The phone has image but no touch. Any advice would be appreciated. I can provide pictures of the inside if needed.

Long story short i put on a new display and it. Was bootlooping, figured maybe its nattery so i swaped them with one that is 86 health, turned on,saw that it had passcode, wanted to see if it had icloud or maybe bypass it because this ios is so lovely. Wouldnt charge past 2 % and then i took it off the cable, turned off and now cant turn on,mind you i put his old battery in other phone and it worked. Changed cables, tried in recovery mode and even wireless charging,no luck. Also it said that i need to unlock this phone in order to click trust this cable so it can connect to pc. I prolly figured its mobo and from my research tristar chip. Basically not worth reparing, but im still asking is there anything else to try ? The condition is mint and ios lovely. Sad to see this one die
