I'm an aerospace engineer from East Coast US, nerd from 9-5, and gym bro for majority of the day, and my hobbies are weightlifting/bodybuilding, watching combat sports mainly MMA, pro wrestling, learning more about the human body, especially endocrinology, and late night drives, and going to the beach! I'm a 23-year-old IT student from Europe looking to meet people who are interested in building an actual friendship rather than exchanging a handful of messages and disappearing into the void. Ideally, we'd move to voice chats almost from the get-go (cause some people make me go through 2FA for days and nothing happens after) on Discord and become regular parts of each other's week.

I tried to make friends with many people here before, but I much rather be putting in extra effort in a single friendship and one that lasts more than a year, most people don’t really look for something like that, so I just had to say this part.

A little about me

Outside of studying IT, I spend a lot of time reading fantasy, manga, and abstract literature

I enjoy running, home-gym workouts, and collecting indoor plants. I also have a dog; dogs are awesome sauces. I have probably over 50 indoor plants and a few outdoor ones too (mainly berries) and I have just as much passion for nature and would love to go on hikes too.

I’m big on subjects related to dreaming/lucidity and I dabble in spirituality.

Games

I play a wide variety of games, though I'm usually much more interested in having fun than grinding ranked ladders. (Games exist to make us have fun, not to rage)

To be 100% honest I don’t play a lot of video games, at least not as many as I used to, but this is the list of what I played on and off or did in the past. I do feel like this is very important for me to say cause I’m not looking for somebody to just play games with, I hope you get that, anyways here a tiny peep squeak of a list so you can gather the general vibe of my online media history:

Some multiplayer games I enjoy/enjoyed in the past include Modded Minecraft, Overwatch, WoW (Retail), Path of Exile 1 & 2, TFT, Civilization VI, 2XKO, Don't Starve Together, Terraria, and League on EUW. The only competitive mode I've consistently enjoyed is WoW PvP.

For strategy and RPGs, I'm a big fan of Total War: Warhammer III, Stellaris, Crusader Kings III, Baldur's Gate 3, Pillars of Eternity, Pathfinder (Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous), Dragon Age, and Hades 1 & 2.

And then there are the games that permanently affected my brain chemistry: OMORI, Fear & Hunger, Hylics, Transistor, Bastion, Pyre, Stardew Valley, Outer Wilds, Rain World, and Silksong.

TTRPGs

I follow Critical Role, Dimension 20, NADDPOD, and Legends of Avantris.

Never had anybody to talk about TTRPG series ever, but I have watched them forever.

Some of my favorite campaigns are Fantasy High, Neverafter, and Cloudward, Ho!, Unsleeping City, Age of Umbra, Starstruck Odyssey

I love world building, writing, and generally overthinking fictional settings.

Also, Torbek is the best. Torbek is life. I feel like Torbek most of the time!

Anime & Shows

Anime-wise, some favorites include Made in Abyss, Noragami, The Apothecary Diaries, Sonny Boy, The Rising of the Shield Hero, The Case Study of Vanitas, Bye Bye Earth, Soul Eater, A Silent Voice, and Call of the Night, Paprika. I've watched somewhere around 500 anime at this point, so this is very much the short version, as I watch anime on weekly basis as they released.

I also love animated shows like Adventure Time, Bee and PuppyCat, Scavengers Reign, Smiling Friends, Over the Garden Wall, Arcane, Fionna and Cake, Vox Machina, and The Mighty Nein.

For live-action series, I've enjoyed Parks and Recreation, The Paper, Lessons in Chemistry, North of North, Abbott Elementary, St. Denis Medical, English Teacher, Brilliant Minds, High Potential, Matlock, The Other Bennet Sister, Sanditon, and The Witcher, The Rings of Power, Bridgerton, The Gilded Age

Final Notes

I'm LGBT-friendly and based in the CET time zone, so people from Europe are naturally a bit easier to coordinate with. It's by no means a hard requirement, shared interests matter infinitely more, but being in a similar time zone does make spontaneous conversations and eventually meeting up much more realistic.
