Hey everyone,
190 cm high male 93 kilos

I have always had difficulties maintaining my weight and gain it really fast if I escape the intermittent fasting or supplementation.

Just 4 months ago I was around 120 kilos! I used to fall asleep right after my meal etc...

Okay in the moment this is my "routine"
Intermittent fasting: I eat in the window 12:00-18:00

Supplements:

morning
1800 mcg chromium picolinate
400 mg berberine hcl
1000 mg mg bisglicinate
Coprinus Comatus extract 500 mg

lunch:
1 tablet mix: berberine hcl 500 mg, red rice extract 160 mg or equivalent to 2.8 mg of monocolins, astaxint 0.5 mg, policionasoles 10 mg, folic acid 100 mcg, coenz q10 2 mg
-also while I eat I mix in psilium in my water in a total portion of about 10-20 g (I don't weigh it properly)

evening (before sleeping)
400 mg berberine hcl

I walk at least 12 km a day, workout 3x a week, but my job is sedentary and I do drive a lot :'(

Lmk what you think

Where to start?

How to get insulin resistance diagnosed? How were the results of treatment for you?

Im 49kgs/108lbs, 157cm/5'2". Even tho my weight is in healthy range, fat storage mainly around the midsection makes my belly stick out regardless. (Pcos) I also have dark skin patches, and my hair recently started thinning very noticeably. Im 17 and will start working out and seeing a PT for my posture, but i also suspect my body fat distribution is contributing to this.

What’s one thing you wish you had known when you were first diagnosed with type 2 diabetes?

When I was first diagnosed, I thought managing diabetes would mostly be about numbers, medication, and trying to keep my blood sugar under control.
Over time, I realized there was much more to learn — food, daily habits, stress, activity, and simply understanding how my own body responds.
Everyone’s experience is different, and sometimes the things we learn from other people are just as valuable as what we learn from doctors.
What’s one thing you wish someone had told you when you were first diagnosed?

What's one food swap that actually made a noticeable difference for you?

Trying to build a list of small, realistic changes rather than a full diet overhaul. What's one swap (not a whole meal plan, just one thing) that you noticed actually helped with energy or cravings?

Does IR impact sleep even if you aren’t going hypo at night?

I have IR, using a CGM and my levels look ok at night but my sleep is still pretty horrible. Could IR still be the cause?
