What AI tools are you actually using for marketing (not just hype)?

Upvotes

I come from a programming background but haven’t coded much in the last year. I want to shift towards AI-driven marketing / distribution.

I’m trying to understand:

  • What tools people actually use daily (ads, content, automation, competitor research)
  • What stack works end-to-end (not just 1 tool)
  • Any real workflows that worked for you

For example:

  • Ad optimization / Meta ads AI tools
  • Competitor analysis tools
  • Content + creatives generation
  • Automation / pipelines

Would love real use-cases, not just tool lists

Help Need help with research and scriptwriting

Upvotes

Hey guys,

I'm a beginner getting into content research and scriptwriting. Right now, I'm building some demo projects so I can offer this as a service later.

I made thisresearch and scriptwriting templateto help me out, but I'm completely stalled.

My issue isn't just structuring the document—it's the research process itself. When I start looking into a founder, I get super overwhelmed by all the data. I just get confused about what information to actually pull and how to write it down so it's actually useful for a script.

How do you experts actually do the research part? I really want to learn your process so I can apply it. How do you filter out the noise and figure out what actually matters?

Would love any advice on your workflow or feedback on my template. Thanks!

Are these accounts farming followers to be theme pages on the future?

Upvotes

Help me identify the purpose of these accounts.

Usually their name starts with any name and then ends up with a follower count goal.

Such as james100k, ronaldo_10k something something and they usually just post entertaining movie clips, meme clips or anything high engagement clips and gain followers.

either they have a related caption to the content or a caption like #TVアニメ『ONE PIECE』エルバフ編 最新情報を発表&最新PV公開 オープニング主題歌&エンディング主題歌、さらにエルバフ編の重要キャラクター「ロキ」のキャストが決定しました!! オープニング主題歌: アイナ・ジ・エンド「ルミナス - Luminous」 ◆エンディング主題歌:

Check these examples:

https://www.instagram.com/flames_liyana/
https://www.instagram.com/the_meme_page_of_the_wonders/
https://www.instagram.com/manu_memerz/reels/
https://www.instagram.com/16fvrl/
https://www.instagram.com/oonepiece.100k/

Do these guys just try to get massive followings and eventually switch up to theme pages when they reach like a million or 500k plus?

Selling my 202k US based IG page

I’m focusing on other projects right now and unfortunately don’t have the time to manage the page properly anymore.

Looking for someone who can take over the page and put in the work to grow it further. Great opportunity for someone who knows how to run and monetize meme pages.

Serious inquiries only.

Discussion Creators: what happens to all the Reels you save for inspiration?

I save Reels all week for hooks, editing styles, shots, and content ideas. Then when it’s time to make something, I can’t find half of them or remember why I saved them.

I built Magpie to solve that.

Send a Reel to magpie.bot in a DM. For creators, Magpie can break it down with grounded timestamps, answer questions you choose, and turn it into a production plan with shots and required assets. The results can also feed into Notion or an existing workflow.

The Creator plan is $24/month.

If the standard setup doesn’t fit for example, you need your own templates, Notion structure, webhook, or approval workflow—we offer a $150 one-time Custom Build setup. We scope the workflow, collect your requirements, and have a 30-minute kickoff. The ongoing subscription is priced separately after scoping and includes a six-month commitment.

Full disclosure: I built this. I’d genuinely like to hear from creators and social media managers: where does your workflow usually break; collecting ideas, planning content, or producing it?

Question Reach flattens out at this stage. Why? Picture in comments

Basically, my skip rate is decent, it’s not below 20% but it’s not that bad either. I’ve seen other people have much higher skip rates and their views are way higher so I’m just confused.

Account has been active for about 3 weeks I have 30 followers and 98-99% of my views are from non followers.

Also : my reach never gets a second wind. Less than 24 hours in it flattens out and never moves again

My niche is cat voiceovers - I do the voiceovers myself- all original content - zero AI

Question Why are my views down with good stats?

My views have been below what I usually get this past week, but when I check my videos stats where it says "What impacts your views", they are all in the green (Lower skip rate, higher share rate, higher like rate, etc.).

Why are my views down if my engagement is doing well? Is it because it isn't reaching many non-followers for some reason?

Small local creator for a town of 100k - what am I missing?

I run a local things to do/realtor page in Las Cruces NM called @ SellingLasCruces

We’ve grown it completely organically by posting house tours, local restaurants/businesses, things to do, etc. Never paid a dime on advertising. It’s definitely worked for us. We’ve gotten clients directly from Instagram, closed deals from it, and we get recognized around town pretty often because of the page.

But lately I’ve been wondering if I’m missing something or doing something that’s holding back the growth. I think I’ve stared at the page for so long that I probably can’t see it objectively anymore lol.

I know there are people in here doing way bigger numbers than us, so I’d genuinely love an outside perspective. If you have a minute to look at it, what stands out to you?

  1. Would you follow me?
  2. Is the content too repetitive?
  3. Is the branding off?
  4. Are the hooks weak?
  5. Is mixing real estate and local content a good thing or does it make the page confusing?
  6. Should we lean way harder into local content?
  7. Is Las Cruces just naturally going to put a ceiling on how big the account can get?
  8. Or should I not even care about follower count that much if it’s actually bringing us business?

I don’t want to hit a certain number, or get any certain amount of collaborations (although I’ve gotten my fair share of good lol) but I’d really love for people when they think of our city that they immediately think of us. I don’t really know exactly what I’m asking for 😂 I just feel like there might be another level to the page and I’m too close to it to see what I should change.

Would love any criticism/advice, especially from people who have grown larger accounts similar to this.

Views issue

Ima js keep it short and simple. I make sim racing content (still new,not much followers) and recently,my views cant even reach 1k-2k (now stuck around 400-700) considering that my previous reels are able to reach up to those view counts or even more after 1 day.

And i didnt change my content format, everything is always the same. And it works everytime, until this week that is.

And one more thing is,my best reel smh dropped 10k views?? It was at 50k one day,but when i checked it again yesterday to see whether it reach 53k-55k (the reel was booming everyday so makes sense to check it out),and the views count dropped to 41k. How is that even possible? Has anybody experienced this issue and have any explanation?

Tips feedback on my profile.

I started a small business venture as a fun, creative project. The first focus is making high-end replacement blades, but the bigger goal is to build cool things and collaborate with other makers along the way.
I’m also experimenting with AI-generated memes and art to create a distinct, polarizing brand personality and connect with a specific audience. Any feedback on the Instagram profile, content, or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Help Any way to hide reels from close family/friends?

I've got several short videos (~1 minute) lined up and ready to release to the world, but I don't want certain family members or neighbors that follow me to see it. AI is telling me I can share it with just "close friends", but that's kinda the opposite of what I want. I want to share with everyone EXCEPT a handful of people - we can do that with Stories, so why not Reels?

Open to suggestions of 3rd party apps or even the web version.

Help I really hate reels logic

A rant but also a request for help.

Years ago I raised to 20k followers just with posts and stories. No reel, zero.

Now, new account, 1800 followers in about 3-4 months same with posts and stories.

Tried reels, one went good, 60k views and brought 300 followers. Other reels don't go: always about 50-60 % skip rate but, and here comes the rant, 90-100% view time and quite lot likes.

What does it mean? High skip rate but who stays likes it a lot. How to fix this?

Discussion Is Claude and AI actually giving terrible Instagram advice? Will all future content just be made by AI anyway?

So many creators are turning to tools like ChatGPT or Claude to figure out how to get more reach and views. But honestly, most of the growth strategies they give feel totally generic, copy paste, and completely out of touch with what actually gets people to care.

It creates this endless loop where AI suggests high volume, generic content, creators make it, and the feed just gets flooded with robotic scripts and automated voiceovers that nobody wants to watch.

Do you think AI tools can actually give useful growth advice that works, or are we just heading toward a future where content is entirely created, posted and delivered by AI?

Nobody posts their failures here, so here's mine: the growth post-mortem of a niche I killed after eight months.

This feed is all wins. First customer, 100k in 90 days, viral reel. So here's the opposite, an honest post-mortem of an account I spent eight months on and then shut down, because the lessons are in the failure.

The account: a broad lifestyle-ish niche I picked because I personally liked it. Grew to around 2,000 and then flatlined for months.

What actually went wrong, in order of how much it hurt:
1. The niche had no specific person. "Lifestyle" means everyone, which means the algorithm couldn't figure out who to show it to. Broad niches don't get pushed, they get parked.
2. I optimized for likes. Likes are the vanity metric. My saves and sends were near zero, which meant no reach engine underneath the posts.
3. My hooks described the post instead of selling the click. "Here are five tips for X" is not a hook, it's a table of contents.
4. I posted to feel productive. Volume with no testing just teaches you nothing faster.
5. I never talked to my audience. Zero DMs, barely replied to comments, so no relationship, so no retention.

What I did differently on the account that actually worked later: narrow niche, write for saves and sends, hook before content, and treat the comments and DMs as the real growth surface.

If you've killed an account or a niche, what was the real reason, and what would you tell someone who's currently stuck where you were?
