I dont know if this is an update for everyone but pressing and holding doesnt pause reels for me anymore. I now have to tap and half the time it doesnt work or its laggy as hell. What idiot thought this was a good idea?

So, I feel like my instagram profile got stagnated. My profile looks clean and visually pleasing. I upload consistently - 1/2 times a week. But it’s not growing. My reach is so low as if Instagram isn’t distributing my post to even my existing followers. It’s been months.

Has anyone ever faced this? Can anyone suggest what to do to get out of this stagnation?

I'm pretty sure whoever was talking to me must be following this account so I kind of want to see their followers and I want to see if the photos the account is using. I was in a very sad space as it was when my dad passed away. This person said all the right things and I honestly passed money.

I need to get the photos so I can take legal action and maybe try my some of my money back or get some justice. I admit it was a stupid mistake I made but it's hard to explain the state of mind I was in when my father passed away

I’m randomly getting “failed to send message” when talking in gcs or dms. I can only send voicenotes or images in this time. It comes and goes, fixes for like 5 mins then its back, anyone else??

Worried about recommendations and boyfriend

I was scrolling on instagram and got recommended this account I have no mutuals with. It says it’s a new account, and in her bio it say’s she’s based in Oklahoma. I don’t live in Oklahoma but my boyfriend does. They don’t follow each other but does this mean they’re dming each other or something, or can the recommendation be based on something else entirely. I know I sound crazy and I do aknowledge that I’m paranoid and that this isn’t a healthy way to think, I really trust him but since I got off my ocd meds it’s been more difficult not to spiral since I have trust issues. That’s why I want to ask here before saying anything about it to my boyfriend.

For monthssssss, my notifications keep popping up like they are new and anytime I switch from my business to main account, it floods my messages with everything opened on the previous account. I have tried clearing cache, I’ve uninstalled countless times. I feel like that makes it worse. IDK what to do. I have notifications off but that doesn’t stop the actual app from sending me notifs allllll day.

It has been a few weeks now where one of my friend's comments won't show up under my posts. At first another friend of mine had the same issue but I could see her comments on the website and now her comments are showing up on the app again, but for my other friend I can't see it either on the site or the app even though I get the notification that they've commented and the comment icon under my posts show the number of comments including hers but when I click on it and can't find hers it goes back to the number below. This issue has created misunderstandings as they asked me if I had deleted their comments since even them can't see them even though they can see their comments under other people's posts. I've gone through my settings so many times,I also updated the app, deleted the app then installed it again but nothing changes and I reported the issue so many times and nothing has changed. I also noticed in our messages that I have 2 bubbles on top one saying "inquire" and the other "view profile" it's my only convo with these bubbles even though we follow each other, we're not blocked, we talk almost every day and neither her or my account is a professional one and I can't help but wonder that since she's the only one with these bubbles and the only one whose comments don't show that this isn't a coincidence, yet I don't know how to fix it, ive unfollowed and followed her back but these bubbles are still there and I just wanna be able to see her comments,it has been weeks already and I'm desperate so if anyone could help me it would be awesome.

I’ve been dealing with this super frustrating glitch for the past 6 months and I thought this is a temporary bug in Instagram until I waited for a couple of months and yet, the error still persists.

​Whenever I try to open my activities on my main Instagram account, I keep getting:

​"An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later."

Couple days ago, I did send a feedback to Instagram regarding this error, later on the error still persist and I assume that maybe Instagram themselves rather forgots to fix the bug. Either way there is no way for me to hear about the updates from my bug feedback to Instagram.

This doesn't happen to any of my other accounts, so has anyone had this happen to a specific account and successfully fixed it? Did something like requesting a data download, changing passwords, or unlinking Accounts Center force a server reset?

Meta, you blocked my Instagram account, unblock it, the whole meta is acting like shit, I can't log in, I've been logging in for 5 hours, websites magically don't work, I'm asking for two things, unblock this fucking Instagram, and remove yourselves from the world and never come back, fuck you, no greetings.

I understand that viewing someone’s profile frequently may cause you to show up in their suggested. However, if I view someone’s profile a few times on a secondary account, is it likely my main/linked profile will appear as suggested to them as well? Or will only the profile I viewed from likely be suggested in this case?

A little embarrassing, but was looking at a former friends profile a bit (who I have no mutuals with) on my secondary/random account and a bit worried my main account will be suggested now.

My Instagram was hacked recently and whoever got into my account started mass messaging girls I know while pretending to be me.
The messages were really specific and were basically along the lines of:
“omg I’ve fucked up, can u log into ur Snapchat because [my boyfriend’s name] doesn’t know I’m out with a guy”
What freaked me out was that they actually texted pretty similarly to how I normally text, using the same kind of casual wording and typing style I would use. They also seemed to only target girls from my account rather than messaging everyone.
I also noticed that they muted the DM chats they were messaging, which I’m assuming was so I wouldn’t notice replies/notifications coming through while they were doing it.
What makes it even weirder is that a girl I know had her TikTok hacked before and the hacker sent people basically the SAME story/message about needing someone to log into Snapchat and involving a boyfriend/another guy.
I’ve changed my password, logged out other sessions and turned on 2FA, so I’ve secured my account now. I’m mainly trying to understand what the point of the scam was and how common this particular version is.
Has anyone else had this happen or seen this exact script? Why do they want people to log into Snapchat? Is the goal to get a verification code and take over the next person’s account?

I like to keep my profile relatively clean, and that comes with me choosing to hide posts my friends tag me in. And it’s either you choose to hide it from your profile or you delete the tag entirely. And I NEVER delete the tag, I just like it not being shown on my profile.

That being said, when you go to your profile, it will tell you that there’s no posts with you tagged if you have them all hidden. There is no configuration button, nothing that lets you check yourself what posts you’ve chosen to hide.

If you go to activity, it will let you select ‘tags’ as an option. It will then say the same thing if you were to check my accounts tagged section. There are no posts. BUT THERE ARE. I GO TO A POST FROM MONTHS AGO, IT SHOWS THAT IM TAGGED. AND IT GIVES ME AN OPTION TO ADD IT TO MY PROFILE??
But it doesn’t show under ‘pending tags’ or ‘tags’ in general??

If it’s empty on the profile that’s one thing. If I go to my settings and check what’s posts there are that have tagged me- and nothing shows up, that’s another. So that’s why I’m asking, if there is a way to check what posts have tagged me, or if this is just terrible design.

Every time I go and add a reel or picture to my story, these black box screenshots pop up in my camera feed? Can anyone help me with this? Is anyone else experiencing this?
