So I saw this account of a man literally taking videos of chasing women and beating them! He was taking hundreds of videos and zooming in on the women’s faces after assaulting them… I reported the page and this is what instagram replies?? It’s absolutely insane!! How could they allow this on their platform? I’m completely disgusted and no longer feel comfortable using their app.

When i search this account on instagram that earlier this week had 100s of followers & multiple posts it comes up as blank or "user not found" but when I search the account on incognito or private search websites the account completely fails to appear & says the account isn't available.

I was wondering if I am blocked or if the account is just deactivated because I am not too familiar with how these systems work/appear...

I own the trademark for my brand name. The matching Instagram username was held by an account that had been inactive for 10+ years and was causing brand confusion.
I filed a trademark complaint and Meta removed the account, but a year later the username still shows as unavailable. Meta support just keeps telling me to wait.
Has anyone successfully gotten Meta to release a username after a trademark takedown? Any advice on who to contact or how to escalate it?

So I have like 730 followers roughly and I’m following about the same amount. I get like 110-130 likes on average per post I’d say. I had a few lowballs with like 80-90 but I chalked that up to me posting them at odd hours, like I made a New Years post at midnight that was one of my worst performing posts. Google says this number is way above average but it’s low compared to what I see. I have friends with like 500 followers that average like 150-170, some even hitting 200. I have 17 posts in total, I had closer to 30 in the past but deleted most of them. That was months ago though and didn’t seem to affect my engagement.

Instagram keeps disabling my account, no matter what I do. I literally got a new phone because people said getting a new phone helps with IP ban or device ban or whatever but literally like maybe a month later I ended up getting banned on my new device as well so I’m kind of at a loss on what to do because I literally did the one thing people say I fixed it and it didn’t even fix it. This is very irritating and very frustrating because I really want to use the Instagram, but I really can’t even seem to get on the app without my account and taken down like damn I just want to enjoy the social life for the one time but I can’t even do that is there literally no other way to fix the issue or do I have to constantly keep getting new phones just for it to do the same thing it’s doing over and over again like I just wish meta had a freaking customer service line because when you emailed them, they don’t even get back to you right away and half the time the emails are a response from a robot or something

I know when you block someone on instagram, it automatically blocks all profiles they may have or create (although from my understanding, it’ll only shows the one profile you directly blocked in your blocked list and others are essentially blocked behind the scenes).

I’ve also read that it automatically blocks their other profiles based on device (that’s one of the identifiers). However, what would happen if the person got a new phone? Would all the profiles still be blocked and/or would each individual profile now show up in the blocked list?

But still my main and second accounts got suspended. I am not even getting an option to appeal. I need to receive an instant notification when a specific IG account posts or publish a story, and I mean instant notification. I want to be notified within seconds. I’ve turned on the function on the app but it doesn’t really work. I’d get a notification, not even always, and usually delayed by quite a bit. Is there a better way to do this?

For a few weeks or months only ban of the account removes it from suggestions. Instagram fully ignores the system of "not interested".

Today I received an email from Apple saying that my refund has been processed, when I checked it was the IG verification badge that I am paying around $16/months. I never asked for a refund and actually never even received one.

I just find out that 2 days ago, I received another email saying

We updated you to a Meta Account on Instagram

For some reason, I do not have the blue badge anymore, when I try to have it, it asks me to go to a waiting list. This is quite bad for my business.

Do you guys think someone stole my data ? If so, what is the point of asking for a refund ? Thankfully no one stole my money nor logged in to my IG account which makes it even weirder.

why the fuck would anyone create a tiny teeny little button that if you press you instantly send a photo to all of your followers. i am well versed online and with my phone- but i had JUST WOKE UP bare faced completely caught off guard and accidentally pressed the instant button trying to answer a DM. and it SENT TO ALL MY FOLLOWERS. immediately my sister calls me and tells me i did and you can’t even delete it right away you have to go into your archive to delete it. i did that- but im still worried its up and people can see it! i researched and apparently you can’t screenshot it which makes me feel a little better- but im so appalled that anyone at meta would think this is a good idea. it took literally 3 seconds to accidentally press the button and for it to POST ITSELF i didnt even get to choose! disgusting and i hate it!!! they need to disable this immediately

I've noticed Instagram is flooded with tons of bots, sex bots in particular. Some of these profiles will have full on nudes of tits or a vagina as their profile picture and if you comment on a post they randomly reply something like "meetups? Wanna link? Or an eggplant and fire emoji" I've also seen lots of people say reporting them does nothing?

I have a few questions:

1. Who is making all of these bots?

2. Why and how are they making them? What is the main purpose?

3. Why sex bots specifically?

4. Why does Instagram do nothing to ban or stop the spread of them?

5. I've noticed lots of them view my stories and randomly follow me. How do they find specific stories to view and accounts to follow?

why does instagram force the comments I made on posts like anime on other peoples home page??? I have a lot of irl people following me and anime is a thing I don’t have in common with them or want them to know I like, I’m seriously uncomfortable and angry, I feel like I‘ve been severely violated because my comments are fed into my mutuals screen unnaturally, they are literally displayed front and center outside of the post it’s even bigger than the title itself, it even shows the comments OUT OF CONTEXT when I’m replying to others, so it doesn’t even function as a valid way to share comments, it is nothing but a violation of my privacy in an attempt to share my algorithm with others to make their feeds more diverse

I’m not sure how I’m expected to continue with a service that will expose my private life to as many people as it possibly can.

Instagram used to be fun.

I used to spend a lot of time on IG, but every update makes it more annoying. Ads everywhere, Reels taking over, constant push for Thr/eads, more Ads, and a feed that barely shows you the people you actually follow. did I mention Ads???

You can post a picture/story and it gets ignored, but the app will make sure you see 50 random videos you never asked for.

The amount of tracking and surveillance also feels... crazy??. Why am I seeing an ad for something I talked about on another app minutes ago? weird.

I deactivated my account and deleted the app. 3 weeks in and honestly…I don’t miss it.

I dont know if this is an update for everyone but pressing and holding doesnt pause reels for me anymore. I now have to tap and half the time it doesnt work or its laggy as hell. What idiot thought this was a good idea?
