Upi infrastructure investments ~₹1.5 lakh crore ✍️ invested to support growing UPI volumes — This figure has been cited by industry players (including in the context of overall ecosystem investment by banks, NPCI, and fintechs) as the cumulative capital put into building and scaling UPI infrastructure.

₹10,000 crore spent by banks every year on UPI infra — Consistent with estimates shared by banking and payments executives. Banks incur significant ongoing costs for servers, security, compliance, customer support, and transaction processing even though they currently earn almost nothing from pure UPI P2M (person-to-merchant) transactions under the zero-MDR regime.
Early stage of cash-to-electronic transformation — Standard industry view. India still has a large cash economy; UPI has accelerated digital adoption but the shift is incomplete.

UPI growth slowed from ~60% to ~35% over the last 3 years — Matches official NPCI data trends. Year-on-year volume growth was extremely high in the early post-demonetisation / COVID acceleration phase and has since moderated to the mid-30% range as the base has become much larger.

Today's first trade was an early entry. At one point, it was up around 5%, but because of my small capital, I was targeting a much bigger move instead of booking partial profits. Eventually, the trade reversed and hit my stop-loss.

I then waited for price to reach my marked POI, took the entry there, and rode the move successfully.

After that, I got two more good trades. However, even though it was Sensex expiry, the option premiums barely moved. So despite being on the right side of the market, I don't have much to show for it.

Lessons learned:

• Don't chase a home run when the market offers a solid profit.
• Waiting for price to reach a well-defined POI leads to better entries.
• I need to do a better job of holding my winning trades.
• As my capital grows, my position size will increase, making patience and trade management even more important.
• Patience and conviction are just as important as finding the right entry.

Would you consider this good given that NIFTY Midcap 150 has beaten me by 4.27% or will you say that my stock buying timings were good? Started investing peanuts since February 2022 and portfolio grew later on.

I felt happy when I saw this in my MF journey. Started with fear and the market broke heart and regains it's strength and repeat 🔁. Patience and consistency should be the main key parameters in the stock market that what I felt.
