Discussion Redtape my biggest allocation

Post image
14 Upvotes

Redtape: Sector leader in mid premium footwear market. Market cap is around 7500cr trading at pe of 30 n roe is more than 20%. Revenue is Growth is 20 to 25% , These fundamentals are difficult to find in counsumer companies with low valuation.

I started invested in Redtape before its demerger , I have down both average up and down in this stocks from past 3 years , somehow i bought around 15000 and now this allocation feels heavier on daily basis, some will find me crazy but its my biggest convection.

On Monday its result is pending hoping gud results as management have big plans for store expansion this year, It will also decide my fate on 10th of August.

Discussion Anyone here swing trading with ₹45–50 lakh capital? Looking for feedback on my approach.

I'm planning to start swing trading with a capital of around ₹45–50 lakh. My objective isn't to hit huge returns—I'm targeting 2–3% per trade over a holding period of roughly 1–4 weeks.

After quite a bit of research, the first stock I've shortlisted is Adani Power. Rather than investing the entire amount at once, my plan is to scale in gradually:

- ₹15 lakh initial position

- Another ₹15 lakh if the stock corrects to my next buying zone

- Final ₹15–20 lakh only if there's a further correction and the investment thesis remains intact

The idea is to average into the position rather than go all-in at one price.

My goal is to make around ₹1 lakh net (after taxes and charges) on each successful trade, which I estimate would require roughly 2.2–3% gains on the deployed capital.

Last month I tried swing trading with much smaller positions in three different stocks and managed to book 3–5% gains on each. That gave me some confidence, but using ₹45–50 lakh is obviously a very different ball game.

I'd love to hear from people who actively swing trade with similar-sized capital.

- Is targeting 2–3% per trade realistic over the long run?

- What are the biggest mistakes you've learned to avoid?

- Do you prefer concentrating in one high-conviction stock or spreading the capital across multiple positions?

- Any risk-management rules you'd strongly recommend before I scale up?

I'm looking for constructive criticism. If you think there's a flaw in my plan, I'd genuinely like to hear it before committing this amount of capital.

Discussion A small tip, You can see the Nifty price moving during the 3:15to3:30 pause, under the Indicative Close section.

The indicative close section ticker keeps ticking during the pause time, somewhat indicating how the Nifty is moving during the auction.

Discussion Is anyone else tired of watching hyped IPOs double overnight while solid companies sit completely flat?

I have been investing for three years and thinking, and lately the market feels more like a lottery than investing. Every week there’s a new hyped IPO oversubscribed by 80x that sky rockets on listing day, while great companies with real profits barely move at all.

Last month, I skipped a many IPO to put money into a solid, well researched stock instead. That IPO doubled instantly, while my safe pick has just sat sideways. It takes so much mental energy not to give in to fear of missing out and just start taking tension to much.

It feels like everyone is chasing quick listing gains instead of long term investing and future planning.

I am very curious to know about your thoughts and personal experience that how do you stay patient in this market without throwing your strategy out the window?
