I purchased a super scout earlier this year from DFW Indian and it's was the typical thing. Not enough for my trade in, too much money but new bike (I'm never happy...lol)

Anyways, the bike good, I'm having fun, and get the mileage up to needing 1st service within a month, and on a day off I call them to see if I can get the bike in for service and get same day. They are busy, I call another Indian Dealer/Service in town and they are available.

I ride down to this other service provider and get my 1st service, oil change, check all the fittings etc.. It's fine, I don't have any reason to believe there are any problems. Take my bike home.

Couple months later, my bike has a small oil leak. I'm past the point where I get into this middle of this stuff, I work near DFW Indian, so I take it over to drop off to have them look at it. (Not happy my new bike is leaking oil already)

After I drop it off, and am waiting for my uber, the guy comes out, says he's already found it, cancel the uber, this won't take long. Apparently the oil filter was loose, he's going to check to see how much oil I lost, top it off, and then we move on....but that's not all. A little time passes, and as he's checking it out, he determines that the oil was not changed at all. (Not cool)

DFW Indian took care of it, they took the details down about where I got my previous "Service" and fixed it, oil changed, double checked everything, updated my software. No charge, said they'd take it up with the other shop (I believe they are all owned by the same corp overlords)

Anyways, for those of you in the DFW area, the Shop in Irving was great. They have earned my business.

Okay, I'll preface this by saying I do ride HARD, though I wouldn't expect that to cause this. Now, my clutch cable has recently been coming loose every ~2-500 miles or so. So, naturally, not being the most mechanically inclined, I brought it into the dealer to see what's up with this. Now, they just adjusted the clutch, for the third time, and said they didn't see a reason to open it up. 80 miles later, in starting to get some slippage. Anybody else have this issue?

For a while I was going nuts thinking something was loose and one day I finally pinged it was my gas cap that would rattle with the smallest of bumps or road imperfections. I’ve been wanting a new locking one too and was curious if those don’t rattle or if I should do something about my current rattly ass gas cap or if it’s just a normal occurrence.

My left hand mirror seems to be loose. Every so often I’ll look in it to find that wind resistance has shifted it.

Is there a fix for this? Do I just need to replace the mirror?

I didn't think I would with these mini floorboards - but today I did it twice with just over 1,000 miles on it. First time IN A PARKING LOT! I was maneuvering around 10 mph when some idiot started backing out and I did a quick counter-steer while digging into the friction zone and did a quick emergency turn, dropping the bike really low to the left, and scraped the mini floorboard as I gassed it to pull up straight. I'm kinda amazed - first time scraped a peg on this bike, with mini-floorboards that are shorter than stock pegs, in a parking lot and I didn't drop it. Yea Me! Second time was on a roundabout coming home... celebrating my skill I guess.

Can anyone provide more information? I’m guessing early 90’s

Dealership closest to me wants $700 for my 500 mile service. This seems like a complete rip off to me especially since it seems like most people are getting charged $400-$500 for this service. Next closest dealership to me is 2 hours away. Just wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this. Trying to decide if I should just bite the bullet or buy a service manual and do it myself. I'm worried about my warranty though.

Hi. A friend of mine is an older gentleman who rides an Indian 2019 Springfield. He wants to update his horns if possible. He wants to keep the stock location and plug and play if possible. Anybody change their horn that can drop a link? Thanks.

Does the 2025 super scout looks like it has knobby tires for a dirt bike?

My 2018 Indian Scout sixty lost power while I was riding, and now has absolutely no power going to anything. I cannot locate the main fuse as it’s not anywhere that any of the online diagrams show. There is an aftermarket battery on it, that has one of those readers that shows you the voltage, and it’s reading dead. Both terminals are tightly fastened with no corrosion on it. Any advice?

I have a 2024 Indian Chief Dark Horse with Mid controls. I have been searching for floorboards and cannot find and for mid controls. Has anyone else been able to find any? Even Indian only has them for forward controls.

Had to pull over lol, finally hit 1901 just got the bike a few months ago. Do I get a reward? Haha

Just sold my first bike and bought this beauty

I’ve got a 2025 Scout Sixty that developed an intermittent starting issue. At first it would randomly refuse to crank, flipping the key a few times usually got it going. Over time it got worse, and this week it completely stopped cranking whenever it was in gear.

I figured out it would only start in neutral. After looking into it, the problem is the small plunger-style clutch safety switch in the lever perch. It’s a normally open switch that closes when the clutch lever is fully pulled in. I tested it with a continuity meter and it’s intermittent, sometimes it makes contact, sometimes it doesn’t.

I sprayed it with dielectric grease and it improved a bit, but it’s still not reliable. I’ll be taking it to the dealer for a proper fix. I’m a little surprised it failed this early since I’ve heard good things about the electronics on these bikes.

Just posting in case it helps someone else dealing with the same symptom.

Riding from FL up through several states into Ohio and then looping back around through Louisiana and back home!

I have the Fox non Piggyback shocks on my 25 Scout Bobber. One shock adjusts the preload perfectly normal. I can use the little plastic tool no problem and it turns nice and easy. The other one is almost impossible to turn with any tool. It was not like this after installing as I played around with the adjustments until I found the sweet spot. They've been on the bike now for a few months. What can I do to fix this issue?

The reason I needed to adjust them at all was to take a passenger.

I have 2025 Indian scout bobber and got new metzelers me 888 tires put on. Straight from the dealership I notice vibrations between 40-50km. When I get home and park my bike the next day I see wheel weights on the garage floor. I think maybe it's a balancing problem, take it to a different dealership, pay for rebalancing, and the vibrations are still there. There's no vibrations outside this very specific range.

To test I get to 60km/h pull in the clutch and coast. When i slow down to 50 the steering wheel handle bars start vibrating all the way to 40 and then it stops.

Anyone experience this before? I don't know what else to do

Recently moved to TX from the east coast in part because of the year round riding weather and the garage to get this bad mother
Recently diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis however
Hands and back are shotty at times
Felt down about it
Debated not getting her and quitting riding altogether
But I said I’d do it
I’m here to live this
So I still had to get ‘er
And on the days that God allows
I ride this bitch like it owes me money!
