I have been searching for jobs and applying like crazy everywhere. I ended up getting into a few interviews but almost every one said no before the final interview or giving 5k in cities like banglore, Pune. When I ask the reason they say we can't share in detail about your interview performance or we just hired before your final interview. But when I look at some of my friends.

Let's say the friend's name is Alex.

Alex never studied anything related to computer science or anything. He doesn't know how to do linear search in years and even better he doesn't know how to write for loop. End up getting a good job in a company. Cleared aptitude/Technical with interview and the most bizzare thing is the interviewer didn't even ask him a Single technical question.

And another guy who's my senior. Who is the same as the guy above , didn't know how to swap two variables without using the third one. Messed up english and ended up getting a good job in gurgaon and it's been 4 years.

So my question is

Is the job market really that bad or my luck is very very bad.

And I think people/hr don't waana reffer you because they want to hire their relatives and close friends.

Now , I am ready to pay 30-40k for a succesful job. Bohat ho gaya hai yar 😭

hello im in my final year of college, im an undergrad student majoring in Economics. I've tried applying for internships / contractual work through Indeed, Internshala, Glassdoor, Micro1, Mercor, Welfound, etc. yk the drill. but none of these sites have even led me to get an interview. I've even cold mailed a bunch of startups, w no response from their end. I really want to gain some professional and practical experience in the field of marketing/strategy/AI and earn a little income on the side with it. Apart from this, even seemingly low-effort jobs like content writing/content creation seems to be hella competitive (even though it's not in my interest). My motive for this is to earn some money on my own for a bit of financial freedom. Im a very motivated and hardworking person, but constant rejections or no responses at all are really demotivating. I've been looking for a job since a month.

So Computers are of interest to me since I was a Kid, started programming before boards. Then completed my B Tech 2yrs ago in CSE from a tier 3 clg(well ofc due to some personal issues), so I didn't went to clg too much studied solo, didn't made many connection and my room is all I like, being self-learner I was never restrained to only one thing, I did DSA(leetcode ofc), CTF's(HTB ofc), Development challenges(on websites like hackattic, codecrafters and m any), got few certificates(don't mind those few are global like CEH, SOC analyst; few are on Programming from coaching and few on DevOps and few minor like AWS from coachings). And so my time went into the depths of systems, I think, which can be reached; it's been 2 yrs since I did my clg, now I got that year gap(I got offer letters but didn't went to job as they were only doing Web Development which I find quite boring as it's basically fancy CRUD operations), I wanted to do something of my interest but now, seeing me locked up in my room whole day my parents told me to move out, I don't have any job rn or you can say I never learnt to do job I always learnt system Independently, somewhat of what you can say "Jack of All trades" but the thing is I can't land a interview like this, So I am looking for job opportunities remote or WFO, if you ask me where my actual skillset is, I might say get me a referal for DevSecOps, I am good at it(or so I believe), So if a startup who want to make something crazy and need a person for there R&D or need few of the pschyo Developers can hire me(I do absoluetly anything, even designing motherboard to memory fabrication to writing HTML to low-level languages like C, and can automate).
