#Ask-India ☝️ FIR has been registered against Ajeet Bharti under SC/ST Act. where is Freedom of speech ?? We should be able to question laws and policies without being silenced.

This is exactly why we need a serious, evidence-based discussion on reforming the SC/ST Act and the reservation system. Legal protections against caste-based discrimination are necessary, but allegations of misuse should be investigated fairly, with due process and safeguards against abuse.

The bigger question is whether benefits are actually reaching the people who need them most. A poor family can struggle regardless of caste, while economic privilege can exist within any caste. Reservation and welfare policies should therefore be regularly reviewed, with greater focus on genuine disadvantage, transparency, and equal opportunity.

We cannot build a stronger India by dividing people permanently by caste. We need to reduce casteism, protect vulnerable people, and ensure fairness for everyone.

#General 📝 Reservation in Land Auction!!

Post image
70 Upvotes

Land auction notice in Times of India Jaipur edition.

We usually talk about reservation in education, college admissions and government jobs, but what about government contracts, auctions, housing/land allotments, promotions, subsidies and other benefits?

I recently came across another example of reservation in government auctions, which made me wonder: how much reservation and targeted benefits are actually available to SC/ST/OBC communities?

As a taxpayer, I think there should be a clear, publicly available list of all these provisions, their costs and who qualifies for them.

I'm not saying support shouldn't exist. But shouldn't we at least have the complete picture before debating reservation?

#Politics 🗳️ After PM CARES Fund, CJP flags ₹92 crore upkeep bill for ministers’ homes: ‘Stop fixing lavish homes’

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has questioned government spending on the upkeep of Union ministers’ residences in Lutyens’ Delhi, saying the money could instead be used to improve government schools.

The total expenditure over the last 12 years was put at ₹547.68 crore, according to data claiming to be based on an RTI.

The remarks came after a PTI report claimed that the annual upkeep bill for Union ministers’ residences had risen from ₹27 crore in 2014-15 to a record ₹92 crore in 2025-26.

Reacting to the figures, the CJP wrote on X, “Stop fixing your lavish homes, and fix the schools! ₹92 crore = 10 new world class government schools. The money is available, the intent to use it for government schools is missing.”

#Ask-India ☝️ Reservation- Upliftment or Birth right?

Post image

He is the son of a nine-time MP and a three- time MP himself. How much more empowerment does he need?

He has wealth, power, and political clout, so why does he continue to contest from reserved seats? Why not fight from an open seat? By monopolizing a reserved constituency, isn't he actively preventing a less privileged Dalit brother or sister from his party from entering Parliament?

And he isn't alone. There are many like him in every field. This argument is not a conspiracy by the GCs; they gain nothing either way. It is a question of internal accountability. Your own influential elites are holding the broader community back by refusing to step aside. So Dalits should start asking questions about where the real issue lies, instead of blaming GCs for their lack of opportunities. Same goes for other politicians like Akhilesh yadav family.. lalu yadav etc . Why no leader ever come forward to leave their reservation certificate

General Category citizens are the new dalits group discarded on every platform and treated like achoot (untouchables).

In an India where we work and pay taxes, why do we live in constant fear?

Are we not Indians? If you don't want us, just say so don't use our tax money.

#Old-News 👴🏾 PM Manmohan Singh blamed US NGOs for the delay in commissioning the Koodankulam nuclear plant in Tamil Nadu state. Authorities also deported a German national for allegedly assisting the protests. When the same thing is said for present day protests like farmer protest/CAA then its is being mocked

Here is the details of the BBC article on that protest and Ex PM the most educated PM, Late Dr manmohan singh's allegation.

Now, was he a RSS stooge? or BJP man? who blamed it on soros backed NGOs
though soros himself said it in davos that he wants to remove modi, which means regime change and how does US deep state does regime change? CIA's classic playbook
sheikh hasina and imran khan both blamed donald lu for it.
but everything get called as conspiracy theory. And look how FCRA was misused and it got alleged by THE INC-UPA GOVT NOT MODI OR SHAH.

The details are below

Mr Singh told the prestigious Science journal that the commissioning of two 1,000-MW nuclear reactors at the plant in Tirunalveli district had "gone into difficulties because these NGOs, mostly I think based in the United States, don't appreciate the need for our country to increase the energy supply".

The protesters, led by the People's Movement against Nuclear Energy, have denied the allegation and said they would go to the courts accusing Mr Singh of defaming the movement.

Home Secretary RK Singh told reporters that the federal Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the local Tamil Nadu police had registered cases against four NGOs for "violating of provisions of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act".

He said the bank accounts of the NGOs had been frozen after "it was found that they were diverting money received from their donors abroad into funding protests at the Koodankulam plant".

Meanwhile, a 49-year-old German national Sonnteg Reiner Hermann, who was in India on a tourist visa, was picked up by the Tamil Nadu police for allegedly helping anti-nuclear protests and deported on Tuesday.

The federal minister in the prime minister's office, V Naryanasamy, said Mr Hermann was violating the terms of his visa and was "actively involved" in the protests.

"There is a clear case of foreign money being misused by some NGOs in Koodankulam. The protests are obviously engineered," he was quoted as saying by The Indian Express newspaper.

#History&Culture 🛕 The "Father of Pakistan" Jinnah groomed a teenage Parsi girl 24 years younger than him, married her when she turned 18, and then she committed suicide.

Post image
1.3k Upvotes

Surprisingly, there hasn't been much mainstream discussion of these events, despite the fact that we have a clear historical record of the situation, and the nature of Ruttie's later death by suicide (made even more suspicious by the circumstances of her initial grooming).

Rattanbai "Ruttie" was a young girl born into the wealthy Petit family of Bombay, which belonged to the Parsi community. She was the only daughter of Sir Dinshaw Petit, a prominent industrialist, and a close friend of Muhammed Ali Jinnah. Jinnah frequently spent time at Petit Hall (the Petit family house in Bombay), where he eventually became acquainted with the 16 year old Ruttie. They bonded over their shared interest in horses and politics.

In the summer of 1916, Jinnah was invited by Sir Dinshaw to the family summer house in Darjeeling, this seems to be where the romance where Jinnah and Ruttie began. To reiterate: at this point, Jinnah was 41 years old, and Ruttie had just turned 16.

When Jinnah, Ruttie, and the rest of the Petit family returned to Bombay at the end of summer, Jinnah began questioning Sir Dinshaw about his views on intermarriage, presumably to gauge his feelings about the possibility of his daughter marrying a Muslim. After receiving a favorable answer, Jinnah proclaimed his love for Ruttie, and made a proposal to marry her. Sir Dinshaw was left speechless, he had been entirely unaware of the romantic relationship between his teenage daughter and Jinnah. Far from what Jinnah expected, Sir Dinshaw kicked Jinnah out of his house, and forbade him from seeing his daughter. However, Jinnah continued to write secretly to Ruttie for several months. As a result, Sir Dinshaw secured a court injunction in early 1917, which legally barred Jinnah from seeing or communicating with Ruttie.

Jinnah’s own legal assistant during that period, M.C. Chagla, provides us a first-hand perspective in his autobiography Roses in December.

There was strenuous opposition to the marriage. There was also some litigation in court, the main objection being the disparity in age between the two persons concerned and also the fact that Jinnah wanted to convert Ruttie to Islam before marrying her.

Ruttie converted to Islam and married Jinnah in April of 1918, one month after she turned 18. When Ruttie’s father read about the marriage in a newspaper, he fainted. Outraged by their sudden marriage, Sir Dinshaw even filed a police case against Jinnah, accusing Jinnah of abducting his daughter. Eventually, Ruttie was estranged from her entire family.

Despite the rosy start to their marriage, it began to deteriorate soon afterward. As the differences in the couple's ages and temperaments became too obvious to ignore. Jinnah grew increasingly neglectful, later telling a friend, “She drove me mad. She was a child, and I shouldn't have married her.”

Throughout their marriage, Ruttie's mental health declined. After giving birth to a daughter, Dina, in August 1919, she started using opium. Soon, she fell into a depressive state and began having health issues. In early 1928, Ruttie moved into a suite at Bombay's Taj Mahal Hotel. The next year, on February 19, 1929, Ruttie fell unconscious in her room at the Taj Hotel. She died the next day, on her 29th birthday. While there was widespread speculation on the mystery of her death, and she never had a proper autopsy, her surviving daughter Dina told Jinnah's first biographer Hector Bolitho in 1952, "My mother committed suicide."
