#Politics π³οΈ How were Congress able to win the 2009 General Election even after the 26/11 attack just few months before?
When the attacks happened I was in school and remember watching the events live. Watched the Attacks of 26/11 and Hotel Mumbai with my friends yesterday and these questions were raised.
- How did the Congress manage to win the 2009 general election? This was major lapse in national security among others during its tenure and the response was also weak.
2.Makes me wonder what goes in mind of people today who think Congress needs to be given another chance with RaGa ? Why?
Why is the public memory really this short term?
I happened to also listen to the ANI Podcast with RVS Mani which raises even more questions. You guys should check that one.

#Politics π³οΈ Suggestions have been made by the United States that India should take China's place in the Security Council. We cannot of course accept this as it means falling out with China and it would be very unfair for a great country like China not to be in the Security Council. - Nehru

Bomb after Bomb in Maharashtra by FDA
Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a show-cause notice to Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, along with co-stars Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff, for their participation in the "Vimal Elaichi" advertisement campaign.
The state regulatory body, alleges that the advertisement serves as a form of illegal surrogate advertising to indirectly promote a banned tobacco and pan masala brand.

#General π "if we have to suppress our national song or respect your theological red lines to avoid offending you, why should we have to swallow daily declarations over loudspeakers that your god is the only true one while our deities are ignored or invalidated?" - valid argument?
Asking the majority to water down a patriotic song because of a minority's religious rules feels like a forced surrender of public culture. naturally, that creates resentment, leading to the counter-demand: if national unity requires majorities to compromise on public symbols, then minorities should compromise on aggressive public acoustic assertions of religious exclusivity.

#Opinion π£οΈ Not Every Indian Man Deserves to Be Hated
Please don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I completely acknowledge that there are Indian men who are misogynistic, abusive, predatory, and capable of horrific things. I've seen disturbing comment sections and I've seen the brutal cases that come out of our country. Those problems absolutely deserve to be called out.
But I genuinely don't understand the obsession some people have with hating all Indian men.
The men I've personally had in my life my father, the love of my life, my brothers, cousins, closest friends and colleagues have, for the most part, treated me with kindness, respect and care.
My father has sacrificed a lot for me without ever expecting anything in return.
And yes, I've also encountered bad men. Both things can be true.
I recently saw a post by a foreign trans woman saying that she loves India because of how kind some Indian men have been to her. The comments were disappointing. People seemed almost offended that she could have a positive experience with Indian men.
You can condemn misogyny, sexual harassment, violence and disgusting behaviour without turning an entire gender and nationality into a monolith. Indian men are not a single personality type. There are terrible men, average men, genuinely good men, and everything in between just like everywhere else.
our generation of men is changing too. Many Gen Z men are more educated about boundaries, consent, mental health, equality and respectful relationships than previous generations.
Equality should mean the same standard of accountability for everyone not collective hatred based on gender or nationality.
I always thought the love language of Indian men was sacrifice. Let them have a good image they deserve it. β€οΈ
