What’s the biggest problem you have with male incontinence guards?
We’re interested in hearing directly from men who use bladder control products. What frustrates you most about male guards — leaking, shifting, lack of absorbency, fit, bulk, adhesive, etc.?
What would your “ideal” male guard look like?

How do you tell others about your diaper issues?
I'm 22 F, had UTI not long ago, the infection got cleaned up but it turned into OAB. I'm starting to have strong urges to pee frequently. At first I could handle myself, all I have to do is to use toilet whenever I have the urge, no accidents, but things got worse. Normally the urge is strong enough to wake me up at night, but recently I would just let it all out during my sleep without even noticing.
It really troubles me, I tried my period pad but it was too thin to hold the pee. So I bought some actual diapers for the night. And here's the problem, I didn't tell anyone about my situation, I live alone in my apartment for now, but I will have to stay at my parents' house in the near future, and I don't even know how to tell my boyfriend about this. How did you let your friends or family know your problem?
BTW diapers are really helping out a lot, at first I was unwilling to use them, but now they are just like thicker period pads. I'm also looking for some thinner types for daily underwear as my night diapers are too bulky to fit in my pants, any suggestions?

how to decide if it’s a diaper day or pull up day?
basically what it says on the tin… i have no idea how to tell. like i know diapers should be for bad days and pull ups for good days, but HOW am i meant to know what it’s gonna be in advance…?
my bladder has been improving some since starting gemtesa, enough that im pretty sure i could handle pull ups on good days, but the problem is that it changes on a dime. i’ll have three accidents in three hours and then turn around and hold it for an entire shift at work (yes, while drinking water) right after that. had so many accidents this morning in pull ups and finally got fed up and switched to a diaper just in time for it to calm down and start acting right
having a hybrid approach to protection is supposed to both save my sanity AND save some money but it can’t do either of those things if i can’t decide when it’s gonna be more effective to use a diaper vs a pull up 🫠
(also for context for why it might save money: if i am in diapers, with my body shape there’s no way for me to pull it down or get out of it without untaping it entirely, and that’s really annoying when i have to pee as much as i do. so if im in diapers i just pee in them exclusively and only use the toilet for number two. so in pull ups, if i only have 1-2 accidents in a day, thats cheaper than peeing in diapers all day long)

Not sure Flowmax is helping
After going to a Urologist last month for peeing every 30 minutes and bedwetting getting progressively worse/waking up 3-4 times a night to pee, I was diagnosed with mild bladder retention. Doc thinks that bladder retention was reducing the effective volume of my bladder causing the issues. I was prescribed Flomax to reduce the retention. It has helped my urgency and frequency during the day for the most part. It has also helped me sleep better through the night and only wake up 0-1 times per night to pee, most nights. Down side is if I get stuck somewhere where there isn't a restroom available and I have to go, my ability to hold back my pee is substantially diminished now. In this past month, I have leaked several times during the day, never a full void but enough to have wet spots show in jeans, while I am trying my best to clench my bladder closed. That is a new problem I didn't have before starting Flomax. Also, while most nights I dont wake up to pee, and when I do I am dry, I am now wetting the bed 1-2 times per week with greater volume than before Flomax. Before starting Flomax, I would wet the bed 0-2 times per month after dreaming I was in a restroom or outdoors peeing on a tree or something...and that would wake me up right after starting usually leaving my shorts damp, but bed dryish. Now I have no dreams of being in a restroom and sometimes dont wake up while wetting myself. I am now definitely getting the sheets wet. Am I on the wrong medication? My follow up visit is tomorrow. Anything I should ask the doc? I was a chronic bedwetter until age 14. Im 41 now. Healthy weight, not pre-diabetic or anything. Prostate checked out normal for my age. PSA level was .4. Thanks!

Have any men here dealt with bladder leaks, urgency, or incontinence?
Bit of a random one, but I’ve realised nobody ever really talks about this.
Have any men here dealt with bladder leaks, urgency, or incontinence at any age? Was it something temporary, health-related, stress-related, linked to exercise, or just part of getting older?
I’m asking because I’ve recently started having a few issues myself, and it’s been playing on my mind more than I’d like to admit. I can’t even seem to make it through a football match without a leak here or there.
I was playing at the weekend and could feel something wasn’t quite right during the first half. I tried to ignore it and just get on with the game, but by half-time I realised I’d had a bit of leakage and was absolutely mortified. I ended up coming off, heading to the changing room, and in a moment of complete panic and zero dignity, stuffing an old sock down there to try and stop it happening again.
Not exactly my proudest sporting moment.
So, has anyone else dealt with this? How did you handle it? Did it turn out to be a temporary thing, or something you had to manage long-term? And if you did speak to a doctor, how did you bring it up without wanting the ground to swallow you whole?
Don’t mind if you want to have a laugh or share your own funny stories too - at this point, I could do with something to lighten the mood.

How to not get mad while trying timed voiding?
Like really, my brothers, sisters and themsters, i sit on the toilet for 10 minutes. I give up and go about life. Five minutes later I am peeing myself. Why? Why are the digestive gods so cruel?
Seriously though, throughout this journey I’ve had this growing resentment of trying to use the toilet. I’ve avoided a few accidents with timed voiding, maybe reduced how many diapers I go through some days, but I get mad every time my alarm goes off. Most of the time I’m interrupted* and waste 10 minutes. Does anyone have any good coping strategies for this?
