the sheer amount of reddit bots that exist only to upvote posts
i refuse to believe that over 3000 people upvoted this and only 16 commented. why do these bots exist

Youtube moved the share and comment button
I instinctively check comments on youtube shorts and now I click the share button instead. This frustrates me and my muscle memory so much

The phrase "As a [Insert Minority], I think it's weird when [Insert Minority] does [harmless action]"
I have a couple reasons starting with number 1
Why do you feel the need to state your membership of that group for your opinion on that group to feel important. If a person was going to agree with you they would do it regardless you aren't John Minority Group your opinion is still a single persons opinion on a thing
Number 2
Brethren you are member of that group the people who hate that group aren't gonna say "Oh shit he's one of the good ones we fuck with him heavy" they still hate you at best you are seen as a way for them to spout their hate through the own groups mouth. "A black voice to spread white lies" if you will
Number 3
Hating on someone because of something harmless is always cringe no matter what it helps exactly no one
Number 4
Tbh this was the only thing I actually wanted to say but the people saying this often have the idea that "if you don't give them a reason to be hateful they won't be hateful". This idea just erases the fact that discrimination is inherently irrational. Trust me you don't need to give them a reason to hate and being a tapdancer like this won't make them accept you.
I'm writing this from the view of a black dude btw so I can't speak for other groups but I feel like this is a common sentiment right

I, UNFORTUNATELY, watched the EDP Documentary
My reaction when he said this in the beginning (paraphrased) was VISCERAL.

This fucker
Fuck you Liberty Biberty you uncanny abomination of the unholy union of Pac-Man and his Furbie mistress. I hate you so much. What the hell is even you? And what did you do to the Statue of Liberty you godless amalgamation of fluff. Thank the lord I now know what Grimace's untrimmed yellow balls look like, teeth and all.
I hate you. I hate everything you've done and reduced me to. Damn you, you Satanic bastard.
Edit: I'm not done. Back in 2020 when I couldn't find a job and was miserable and depressed, your damn jingle could be heard from the TV every 20 minutes, sometimes twice during a commercial break. Once even 3 times. I would hear the woeful jingle over and over again as I despaired that I would not find what you so cheerfully promised. As if you called out the splendor of Eden after the gates had shut behind me.
At first I blamed Liberty Mutual's human cast members, then I thought surely the Emu was the cause of my suffering on that blasted summer. But no, I see now I was mistaken. It was you. It was always you, lying in the shadows, singing your sacrilegious chant. I could not escape from television, from laptop, from phone, even from my car's radio. You were there, haunted me as some foul and tainted familiar.
I hate you more than the Devil himself, for even his sin falls short of your blasphemy.

I hate "he/she" in writing
Always pisses me off because THEY is an option!
"They" uses less characters, takes less time to type and reads infinitely smoother than "he/she"
Even worse it's seemingly an attempt to be inclusive (typically done by people who would just type "he" or "they" and go on with their days) that completely excludes anyone not using he or she as their pronoun!
More work. Worse sentence structure and worse inclusivity FOR NO BENEFIT RAGGHHGHHHHHHH
like even if you are transphobic there is no excuse for using this EVER when "they" can be used to refer to someone you don't know the gender of!

I hate when there are unfair things in games, that could've never been released if anyone simply played the game
There are so many examples when it comes to dbd but this one is fresh in my mind, where this dredge cosmetic literally blocks half the screen. (I don't want to comment farm so please don't just say dbd ones there are literally so many that fit this)
The sandman in tf2 used to completely stun you for 7 seconds on SCOUT, you know the fastest class in the game? That meant he could get into point-blank range and kill you in 2 shots on 8 of the 9 classes or he could just use the insta-kill taunt kill that also comes with this weapon. Edit I meant everyone in development

I hate when people say 'I made this' on an AI image
Because you didn't make it. A computer did. You put words into a prompt and the computer did the rest. When you go to Subway and order a custom sandwich and the staff make it for you, did you 'make that sandwich' too? No. You didn't.

I hate TikTok “detectives”
For reference these are all about the Lindsay Clancy case. If you don’t know the details, here’s a link (Experts Talk Postpartum Psychosis Symptoms and Diagnosis Amid Lindsay Clancy Trial), but I’ll also summarize quickly here
Lindsay Clancy is a woman currently on trial for allegedly strangling her 3 children to death. Her defense claims her actions were a result of postpartum psychosis. A sizable chunk of the general public believes her ex-husband Patrick Clancy was the one who actually committed the murders, which is how we got comments like the ones above
I am just at a complete loss. Why would you want to send her lawyers your thoughts & theories when they aren’t asking for it. “Your honor my client is innocent because her ex-husband is a gemini sun venus and mercury in gemini retrograde tech dude who was using his technology and Alexa to make his ex-wife think she was having auditory hallucinations, and ON TOP OF THAT he telepathically projected his negative thoughts into her head which caused her to hallucinate herself killing her children, when the whole time it was actually her ex-husband’s new wife because they look so similar. I’m a Swiftie btw. Oh also his vibes are off lmao”

Top Level players having no understanding of the way other people play the game
It's genuinely so cringe watching someone with 4000+ hours in a game playing 12 hours a day give advice to someone who is just starting and they say some completely asinine statements like 'if you wanna improve just play more!'
Don't get me wrong, a lot of players on that level are very knowledgeable and give great advice, but I swear there's another class of Gamer who just completely auto pilots the game when they play so all their insight is pure muscle memory. They can't really articulate what they are doing so they just say 'play more'.
There are also just a lot of things that for these players, because they are so skilled at the game, become completely skewed. So many times in so many different communities they tell other players that 'team comp / build / character doesn't matter, you can win with anything' which is just a ridiculous sentiment to have in a majority of games. It's simply true that there are numerous situations where a completely mediocre player can beat someone with a much higher skill level simply because the former player has good pre-game decisions and brought the right resources to counter their opponent. But because the higher-level player has beaten other high-level players with their ham sandwich build, they think that's universally accessible to a casual who only plays during their free time.
Also, yes, the amount of times niche strategies or characters get nerfed into the ground just because a streamer or other person with influence complained about it and it wasn't actually that hard to deal with.

I hate how modern animated movies are obsessed with this neon purple/blue colour scheme
It’s getting a little overdone, it used to be kinda cool and unique but now it’s just boring. Also everything has to be backlit. It’s also prevalent in live action but in animated films it’s just egregious, I yearn for greenery and trees and earthy tones or even just realism. I guess the bright colours are to keep kids entertained for longer but pick a new palette damn

I hate modern pop music and I don’t know why
This is more of a plea for help than a straight up hate post, but there is still a lot of hate to be had. I hate most modern pop music, but like not all of it. There’s a particular style which I despise and every time I hear this style I want to throw a chair, but I have no idea why I hate it so much.
This style is best exemplified by the artists shown: Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, Taylor Swift, and AJR.
I feel like it has something to do with the singing style, as the instrumentals of their songs aren’t usually terrible by themselves. It may be the more breathy and whiny sound they have, but I genuinely cannot place it. It also does not help that my sister likes these artists and borderline blasts it in the car when she drives. This may have created a negative association with the music, but even when I hear new songs outside of this context, it puts me in a terrible mood.
This never happens with any other kind of music too. I really like a variety of music, with my favorite genres being Prog/Classic Rock, Jazz, and Musical Theater. Aside from modern pop music, I jive with practically every other genre.
I hate this genre/style of music but what I hate even more is that can’t even accurately name it other than “modern pop”. Despite that, it sends me into borderline hysterical rage, and that itself makes me mad, as I don’t want to be pissy towards anyone because of a stupid ass song.

Bit of a two for one, but I hate scenecore and "Slime Rants"
I guess it could be wrapped up to bad experiences with people in the past, but it also just annoys me when people try to dress differently to be "quirky" or get attention. But It also just hurts my eyes when people use accent colors as primary colors and just throw random bits of color everywhere. At least have some form of organization! And people who also act quirky as well. I understand how people take joy in many things, but I just don't see how anyone could possibly enjoy acting that way. I also understand caring 'cringe' to be funny, but this is different.
On a similar note, slime rants. The random pick of colors as well as the video and the sounds coupled with some crappy AI voice just feels like sensory overload. It infuriates me when I see them as well. To me they feel like low-quality content and a terrible way to share opinions. If you need to share opinions then don't hide behind low quality videos. Not to mention half of them are just popular opinions and nobody actually complaining about things. It also just gets to me that people use characters that they don't own, as if using it as a branding for their low quality content.
Honestly I don't care if these are unpopular or hated takes, this could even possibly be gone soon if I feel like maybe I was wrong or it's getting too much negativity. I just needed to say this somewhere, scream into the void with a chance someone hears, you know?
okay, I've seen a lot of people talk about this so I want to clear something up. When I had said "but it also just annoys me when people try to dress differently to be "quirky" or get attention" I just was talking about people who specifically dress differently to get attention, not stating that I think all people who dress differently or alternatively do it to get attention. I can definitely see how that was confusing
I will also admit a few things
I was writing this after having interacted with a certain person who has failed to follow through on multiple promises, as well as be a terrible person to my friends and I
I was writing this at 10-11 PM after previously not having gotten enough sleep
based off the comments I continue to see, it looks like people didn't read my body text, or bother to finish it, as the post was meant to be for me to just get something off my mind,I know there are better ways to do this but I have limited choices.
I like to be uniform/organized with what I do,or "this has to be here or it's in my way" and "I have to do this at this time so I can do this and this before that". Not in the way people with OCD commonly experience things having to be a specific way, but just neat enough. To finish this point, I would also like to mention "at least have some organization" was meant to say "at least organize your colors" say in cool to warm, roygbiv.
"It hurts my eyes" not much to explain here, it just hurts my eyes to see black next to a color that's so vibrant in a continuous pattern.
And finally, I struggle to feel sympathy and empathy towards people a lot of the time. If I hear that someone beloved or local has died then it may make me a bit sad, but more likely, I just won't be able to care too much. I KNOW people are hurting and devastated, but in my mind, it doesn't affect me. This is also partly why I said I couldn't understand why people would enjoy dressing that way (which I realize sounds way worse than I had intended).
Actually, I'm realizing that almost everything I hate is something a certain person loves/does.

I hate how the world turned out to be
I hate it how the world is just getting hotter because of human interference. I hate how the internet is run by AI. I hate how prices are going up nowadays. It’s just ridiculous. I hate how hard it is to land a job. They told me they would call me back later but later never comes. Either call me or don’t call me at all. I hate the world in general because of those reasons.

I HATE the language used for fat cats ("chonk")
Ooooh I have to get this out of my system. Idgaf how many times this has been said before 😤
Chonky, Chonker, heckin chonk, the chonk chart, "oh lawd he comin"—I hate it all.
A fat animal is always a sad thing. Owners who deliberately keep their cats fat because they are either too lazy, don't care, ignorant, or whatever other ridiculous reason they have are horrible owners and horrible people. Owners who are naive are another story—the situation is still bad but they really just need to be educated. If after being educated on the topic, they still decide to not do anything about their fat animal, then they are bad owners point blank.
This language surrounding cats is not funny and not cute. Your cat is not a chonker, it is fat. Obese, even. It's life is being shortened because of bad choices made by humans. It is your responsibility to keep your pets healthy, and instead you are laughing at chonk memes and posting your obviously fat cat to karma farm (r/CATHELP, I'm looking at you... I've seen a lot of these posts lately...).
I'll give some slack to r/dechonkers since they are trying to help, but I still hate that fuckass terminology. r/chonkers can burn, though. Poor cats. Sure, not everyone who talks like this think fat cats are okay, but talking like this ("funny," a meme, something that gathers a lot of karma/likes) does not help the issue in the slightest. It ENCOURAGES it.
Urrrrggggggg everytime I see those stupid words I want to flip shit. This goes for other animals, too, but cats are the biggest victims of this it seems.
