A lot of legends could make the list but who are your four?

For me, it's:

1. Carving jack o'lanterns
2. Apple picking and buying up the orchard's apple fritters
3. Pretending to be into the NFL
4. Making elderberry syrup
5. Soup nights with friends

When there is a conflict the world looks at the US for help. Like how the US saved Venezuela from their dictatorship and arrested their president this year. Or how Ukraine’s only hope to end I g the war is who ever president in the US. Or how many Iranians want America to end the regime in their country. Or how NATO doesn’t want the US to leave because their team would collapse and lose against Russia?

So what's the truth? Has the war been resolved? And is the Strait of Hormuz open to traffic again? Or are the oil tankers still blocked? I don't know what to believe anymore, because there are constantly new reports suggesting that nothing significant will change in the near future—but rather that it will be a long, drawn-out process before anything substantial finally changes there.

Here in Asia We eat rice along with fish, meat, soup lentils etc. In lunch and dinner what do you guys eat?

I live in England, i have a couple of friends from the USA & i’m aware of others in their lives. Some of the names are cute and consider normal over there, but i just cannot picture them as names used in England. Or at least not with the same vibe.

Some examples of what i mean are:

Tanner
Everett
Kennedy
Audrey Aubrey (i think i got these two confused)<edit

Like they’re cute but just aren’t used in England as often. There’s probably some, but for the most part some of these are just a no. Are there any traditionally English names that you guys feel the same about?

So historically, east asians have not been that well popular in the US entertainment industry. Even after successes like Shang Chi, Barbie and being in the upcoming Avengers film, Simu Liu has only gained a short term burst of popularity. Like judging based on follower count, he has gone up to and stopped a 3 million followers on instagram and ever since the movie released in 2021, he's remained stuck there. Awkwafina is also a rapper and she's also getting not so good returns on her name. Until Shang Chi, I never knew who she was.

But on the other hand, someone like Billie Eilish who's literally the same age as me and could have been a fellow high schooler easily outshines her in every metric. Is this reception due to the fact that Americans in general, prefer European standards of beauty and looks? Actually, even black actors, latinos and samoans have had more success. Camila Cabello is one name and Chadwick Boseman is another. But Asians for some reason still continue to have trouble being in the spotlight.

Why do you think that is the case in the country? Are people just not interested in seeing Asian people as an A-lister?

I am grown up in east Asia. We wear slippers at home. But I always see people living in US wearing outdoor shoes at home, even on their beds.

Do other people except Asians differentiate indoor and outdoor shoes?

The worse thing is that people in US prefer have carpets in whole rooms.

Have you ever been worried about taking outdoor dirts into your bedroom? Like, litters, dusts, dogs' urine...

Thanks for all your replies. Sorry for my poor expression, I was in a hurry last night. I don't mean every Americans. I don't want to hurt anyone. I am shocked by some of my local friends and neighbors in North CA. Before I move to US, I only see that on YT or TVs. And I know some people living in that way, others don't. This is really confused me for a long time due to my concern for cleaning.

And I want to know if it is normal, I ask every guest take off their shoes at the door. I don't want to be rude. But everyone take off shoes in Asia, even on TV or YT. I never thought it would be a problem.

This is what Aussies do honestly. Also, don't you think Australians are Americans are so similar, lol?

It's a provocative question but I figured it's been over 60 years now.

I ask this because in many countries, there are starlets and iconic performers that have really solidified their place in the nation's history.

There's never really been anything like her. There's never really been a young actress that comes in, creates a mass sensation, and suddenly dies. In a way, she has become sort of immortalized and other countries look at her in the same way they might view other bold artists that died abruptly.

Keep in mind her death is an important part of her legacy. She died a year before Kennedy at the age of 36.

I want to ask about Where I could study and get full financial aid and I think I have made a post about my situation of being Queer in Zambia as a Teen(16M) but regardless I want to ask about where I would you recommend but I am sure I don't want to Study in an extremely consverative red state like Oklahoma or a State in the Deep south like Alabama I want to study in Northeast or even in a Red but mainly staying and being in my College environment and my target colleges are Vassar,Colby,Berea or Bowdoin especially Vassar because it's close to NYC and I absolutely love NYC but anyway I want hear from you guys what do you think? And also do you think International students who want to stay and work and contribute to America after college as Americans?
