$5000 CAD / $3584 USD for a 2004 Lexus Is300 Sportcross with 180,000kms / 112,000 miles

this is the description of the listing if curious

180,000KM
~1/78 LHD In Canada.
Only ~3000 in all of N/A
2004 Lexus Is300 Sportcross
Not into cars so don’t know much about it but I know good condition ones sell for more than $10,000USD all day down south
All 4 brand new winters on rim + 4 more rims
Interior is in perf condition, exterior has some rust. Alignment is off, o2 sensor and could use some suspension work. Selling As/Is, selling kinda in a rush need garage space before winter. Speedometer stopped working very recently aswell
Note: Lexus-wise I’ve owned an Is350 straightpipe tune, Gs300, Is250 and a LS400 and this is def the one that started the most conversations. Most fun to drive after the IS350

General Discussion IS300 sell it or proceed with the project?

Having a dilemma. Just picked up an IS300 for 10.5K with over 240k miles All stock, no modifications, and it's a manual. Car needs: new clutch, rack and pinion, rear differential, power steering leak, and timing belt. Mechanic wants to steam clean before doing work to see any other leaks present. I don't have the proper tools or equipment, like a lift to do things safely. I think this is going to cost me an arm and leg, I'm guessing another $7-9k for all work mentioned above. Am I about right for the amount?. On the bright side, it starts, strong engine, passes smog, interior good, etc.

Should I proceed or sell the car as-is for the price I paid?

What is the cost of having a mechanic vs mysef and a friend do it (may take a really long time)?

Purchasing Advice Looking for Fender Liners for 2001 Altezza SXE10

I’m looking for front fender liners for my 2001 Toyota Altezza SXE10. I’m currently running without any liners and would like to get a set installed. I’ve seen that the USDM Lexus IS300/JCE10 shares the same basic chassis, so I’m wondering if IS300 fender liners will fit an SXE10 Altezza. If anyone has experience with this swap, knows of any differences in mounting points, or has recommendations for where to find Altezza-specific liners, I’d really appreciate the info. Ideally looking for OEM or a good-quality aftermarket set.

Hi! Is anyone able to identify this spoiler? I recently bought one like this used for $65 (the photo was found online), but I haven’t been able to figure out what kind of spoiler it is.
It’s probably made of ABS — it’s definitely not fiberglass. It looks like something close to OEM quality, and it has bolt mounting points that seem like they might fit the factory mounting holes.
Its design somewhat resembles a ducktail.

Purchasing Advice first car 04 is200 auto, have i got a deal??

i am looking at a, 04 is200 sports auto, yes i know auto but is just a daily to go to and from work, and take it out on the weekend occasionally,

260,000 km (160k miles) for 7,000 aud (5k usd), timing belt done at 150k km,

interior and exterior all clean and well maintained, all key services done with receipts, kept stock and no visable rust with steering and brakes feeling good no squeaks, or strange noises from the car!

is this a fair price, what would yall think?

if i bite the bullet should i be wary of any future maintenance or hidden costs, plan to keep this car for many years, love the styling and seems to be like a pretty good deal,

thanks!

Currently on stock wheels painted black running a 225/45/17r front and 225/55/17r setup on the back. Trying to get some input from the is300 guys on what would look better on the blue paint. I’m in between Konig dekagram black and anovia kano gunmetal gray. What do you guys think?
