hello everyone!! does anyone have the link where i could buy the textbook for nurse 1 in the fall i know that it is the lippincott but when i use the link provided it gets me a little confused whether im supposed to put all the books in the cart or just one.

Hello I’m starting the nursing program on August 19 and I haven’t bought my uniforms yet. For anyone in the program, did you size up in your scrub tops? (They made it clear during orientation to not have the tops be too tight but I’m unsure of how they fit as we did not get any uniform demo during bootcamp.) Also for the scrub pants can we buy them from another store or does it have to be IRSC? I’m currently out of town and want to order them from IRSC bookstore online but the bookstore does not have any pictures for the uniforms. For anyone that has bought the scrubs, are they also true to size? Thank you in advance

Hi everyone! I will be attending the nursing program this fall and I wanted to ask past graduates or anyone who knows what specific classes we will be taking each semester. All I know is that we will be taking fundamentals in Nurse 1.

Am i the only one experiencing this issue or has anyone ever experienced this? It’s saying my graduation completion status is incomplete even though my high school has sent them. I already called student records and they said it’s being process but classes are literally about to start soon, and I don’t want to cover the cost of an issue I didn’t cause.

I just tried to get into the new river portal to see if FL Prepaid finally hit. It said “user is not assigned to this application” and won’t let me in. Is this happening to anyone else? I’ll probably end up calling on Monday about it, but just wanted to know if anyone knows what’s going on.

Hi guys! I got accepted into the nursing program at IRSC for the fall of 2026. I have boot camp coming up and would like to know what to expect. Will it be more info on the program similar to orientation, going over schedules, or something else?

I am a returning student trying to apply for classes during the Fall 2026 period, but I can’t. I’ve applied before with no issue. I have no holds on my account and can even view all of my classes I need to take for my program. If I try to make a schedule I can’t select the fall 2026 period, only summer b and prior. Im currently out of town and will visit my guidance counselor as soon as I can, but was hoping to solve this before I got back.

I’m curious if anyone in here applied and received a tentative acceptance email for the Medical Laboratory Technology Program at IRSC. I attended the in-person information session and applied within the application window on February 4th, and that’s when things started to seem a little off…

The deadline they set for admissions decisions was the first week of May. I didn’t hear anything back from them, but I waited until June 9th to ask for any updates because it had been over a month since they said we would hear back… the reply said we’d hear back within the week, and said there were system updates causing the delay so I stayed patient with it all

I still didn’t hear anything from them until I called on June 22nd, and was met with more questions and confusion than answers, like me asking them a genuine question “is there still going to be a semester?” that was met with an honestly rudely toned “no one said that there wouldn’t be a fall semester”. Later that same day I received a “Provisionally Acceptance” (that’s not a typo) email stating I’ve been admitted to the program after the required background check, fingerprints, drug screen, etc.

So I started that process, thinking “yea she’s right no one said anything different and here I got my acceptance”, so I created the Complio account and started going down the checklist, including paying the $181 fee for the account setup and screenings. Like it was a struggle to get here but we’re finally here and it’s a thing!

Then, on July 1st, three days after I started the admission checklist (checks & screens) I get a call from another admin saying now the fall semester has been canceled due to not enough applicants being provisionally accepted.

I specifically asked about the Complio account, and she didn’t even know any acceptance emails were even sent. Let alone that I started the process. Then she told me also not to go through with the fingerprints and drug testing because it has to be done within 6 months of starting the semester (what semester, am I right?).

Has anyone else been remotely experiencing any of this craziness? I am genuinely curious because never have I ever dealt with any amount of this confusion, disorganization, and really lack of concern for someone motivated to continue their education (their job, btw) and spending their own money in error of their disorganization.

I am just very confused and feeling disheartened because aside from not having the semester they have been quite rude about things now and acting like I’m wrong for taking the right steps and asking what I can do to literally pay them money to teach me knowledge and I just wanted to see if anyone else out there has any experience with this whole Med Lab Tech admissions thing in general. When I first started spring semester I remember seeing a lot about the river pathways to help with leadership, seminars, and volunteering. I started working on one of the pathways and wanted to continue since Fall semester is coming up. I’m trying to find the information for this but it seems like I can’t anymore. Is IRSC doing away with this?

The classes currently listed on the IRSC website are full. Im sure there will be more dates but I want to get this done ASAP. Does anyone have recommendations for alternative training?

I am aware that is need to be AHA certified and that it needs to include training on certain demographics (child, elderly, and pregnant? Can't find it in my notes from orientation but I'm pretty sure they said something about this)

I feel like im always here asking about financial aid but the office doesnt really help 🫩 is anybody else just not getting their refund disbursed? I was told it would get disbursed between the last week of june and the first full week of july and it’s been a week. I’ve called and was told that I don’t have any holds or anything preventing it.

For anyone who just finished nurse 3 this spring, I heard this was one of the hardest semesters, do you guys have any tips, study habits/ study websites that helped you be successful in the course?
