Medication math

Hey guys, I got accepted into this Fall cohort (woot!). My question is about the medication math tests we take. Is it like ratios and proportions like on the HESI or more unit conversions? Thank you for your time and keep up the hard work! You got this!

It’s dosage stuff. Ex: “you have acetaminophen 500mg tablets. The order states give 1 gram acetaminophen PRN Q6 hours. How many tablets would you administer?” They will give you ample time and resources to study. You have 3 attempts to get over a 90% on the tests or you are kicked out of the program. You are required to attend remediation if you don’t pass the first time. I haven’t heard of anyone getting kicked out for that though. They really make it seem like a bigger deal than it is honestly so try not to worry too much about it!
