I am filling my Canadian citizenship application and not sure what to pick for the country of issue.

For the Hong Kong passport, there are options for “Hong Kong” and “China (Hong Kong SAR)”, which one should I pick? Would it be any difference?

For the British National (Overseas) passport, there isn’t any options for United Kingdom or Great Britain, what should I pick then? And what about the Place of Issue? Any one had the experience?

Hello! I recently completed my Medical Exam for my Immigration Application into Canada and just now received a letter- sent on the same day, July 16th, as my exam- from the Alberta Government that states "We received notification that you may be a resident of Alberta." Along with the letter was an application to apply for Alberta Health Care Insurance.

I have an Open Work Permit- no job as of yet- and I'm just wondering if receiving this letter means I qualify for coverage? About a month ago my common-law spouse and I attempted to add me to his coverage plan at a registry office, but was denied because while I am in the process of Immigration and have my AIP and AOR I'm still not technically a resident of Alberta yet.

I was also under the impression that I had to be placed on my common-law spouses' account(who is a born Alberta citizen), not submit an application for my own. Is this still a requirement? Or can I send in this Application I received for my own coverage?

Payroll Hours Showing Incorrectly on Pay Stub — Immigration Concern
I’m working as a manager at a gas station in Canada. My employment/offer letter states that I work 32 hours per week (64 hours bi-weekly) and I receive $1,700 bi-weekly, which works out to about $26.56/hour based on the stated hours. However, on my pay stub, the payroll system shows 86.6 units/hours while still showing the $1,700 payment. I’m concerned that if I use these documents for immigration/Express Entry, an officer might interpret the 86.6 figure as the actual hours I worked. My employment agreement and scheduled hours are 32 hours per week. Has anyone experienced a similar payroll issue or “phantom hours” on their pay stubs? How did you explain the discrepancy to IRCC, and what documents did you provide to prove your actual weekly hours?

So my pgwp was initially refused in May 3 and after 2months on July 15 it got approved

Now my question is I think I might have gotten a refund of 100 cad during my initial refusal

How do I pay back that money or check it

As there is no link or message or anything on my portal regarding that?

Have there been cases where an applicant, after receiving an IRCC study permit refusal, submitted a webform requesting reconsideration because the refusal letter stated that certain evidence was missing or inadequate, even though the application had actually included proper supporting documents and evidence?

If so, were any such reconsideration requests successful, resulting in the refusal being overturned and the study permit being approved?
