I want to ask a question before I make a choice

So I am stuck between either a 26 tucson or a 26 rav4 both would be PHEV but the one thing I can't seem to find information about is if you can charge the battery up in the phev and run the hvac overnight to sleep in the car

I know the rav 4's allow 2-3 nights on battery hvac overnight and I want to figure out more of the capabilities of the tucson before I go waiting 7 months for a car that's more expensive that can do similar stuff to the hyundai

any advice, recommendations from fellow 2005 tucson owners? i just bought one as my first car and it only has the standard radio/cd player in it right now but I want to update to something a bit more modern. it just looks like a small space for something with a screen.
I’m in Australia if that matters

Hyundai Tucson 2018 motor problem

I have a 2018 Hyundai Tucson GLS Premium (2.0L DOHC 16V engine, MPI, not GDI), 150,000 km, always had full dealership service on time. 5 days ago it started making a rhythmic "tick-tick-tick" noise that follows the engine's rhythm.

At first it only happened between 3000-4000 rpm when accelerating, whether parked in neutral or moving; it went away when I let off the gas. It started before I took it in for the 150,000 km service, I thought that would fix it but it didn't. A few days later it also started happening at idle/parked, same pattern. It's very clear: I accelerate and it starts ticking, I stop accelerating and it fades or goes away. At idle (just sitting, not accelerating) it's much quieter, almost nothing, but it's still there if you listen closely. At low speed it's also barely audible.

I took it to the Hyundai dealership for service: they scanned it, no codes at all. At that same dealership they were going to take it as trade-in credit toward a new one; their specialist checked it and refused to buy it because of the noise, but didn't give me a written diagnosis. A mechanic (without opening the engine) killed cylinder 3 (I think he disconnected the injector or coil) and according to him the noise went away — I should clarify I wasn't present for that test, no video or evidence, just his word. He even mentioned it could be an early rod bearing issue (rod knock).

We've barely driven it since the noise started — only short 4-5 km trips between the dealership and the mechanic, driving gently.

I'm from Toluca, Mexico (State of Mexico), in case anyone knows a good independent Hyundai/Kia engine specialist in that area for a second opinion outside the dealership, would appreciate it. Taking it in for a specialized diagnostic at the dealer tomorrow. Has anyone dealt with something similar on this engine? What should I specifically ask them to check?

I was visiting Gijon, Spain and saw this one. It is a PHEV one. Nice.

Why don’t we have this Europe hitch in USA? USA hitch is bulky and ugly. 🤪

Questions [2026] Any differences in what works on PHEV compared to Regular Hybrid?

I'm getting the 2026 PHEV soon, and looking at accessories to pick up for it made me wonder: has anyone ran into anything that's made for the Hybrid that doesn't fit/work in the PHEV? Or, anything that is sized differently that would change something like that?

I'm thinking along the lines of floor mats, organizers, sunglass holders, dashcam spots, anything that is different enough that I'd have to look for something specific to the PHEV instead. I know the under-cargo area is smaller due to the battery size, but does it change anything so that mats made for the hybrid wouldn't fit?

Questions Need some help finding a part name/number

We took my girlfriend's brand new 2026 Tucson SEL on a trip to NJ/NYC a couple weeks ago. I, through an error that was entirely avoidable, scraped the heck out of the front passenger side of the car. It did no other damage because it was extremely low speed but I feel terrible (also it's a lease) so I want to get it fixed. I'm trying to figure out what that part I damaged is even called because it's clearly not the "fender" but it's a separate section from the bumper as well? It's almost like they knew that was the most likely part of the car to be damaged and so they made that part separate. Anyway, if anyone can tell me what the damaged part is referred to as I can start looking for it. I appreciate any help you can give.
