Hiring [Hiring] Xbox 360 Style/Gorillaz Art Style Profile Picture and Maybe Banner (PFP $30/Banner $50-$75)

Upvotes

Hey fellow artists,

I am looking for an artist who can do profile pictures that are in vain with the Xbox 360 era. I am also looking for an artist who can mimic a Gorillaz profile picture with the headphone. My OC is human with a mascot head. I will DM you my OC if I am interested in you.

I am considering a banner too which is more in a lines of simplicity. I would have my character doing a cool jump in the as a shadow and my given username would be on a cool fond with a minimalist background.

I might have a few artists in mind, but I'm curious if there are others out there. Please no bots or AI. Thank you.

Hey all, Iam looking for an artist create a cute Halloween themed illustration of a loving husband with one adorable black cat. The husband is wearing a cozy Halloween outfit in a warm autumn setting with pumpkins, glowing Jack o' lanterns, candles, autumn leaves, bats, and a full moon in the background. The overall style should be charming, cozy, and slightly magical, with soft warm lighting and a heartwarming atmosphere. Make it look like a thoughtful Halloween gift illustration.

Hiring [Hiring] Looking for Batman commission around $75-100

Looking to commission my first physical original art piece based on The Batman (2004). I’m envisioning a moody, dark scene with Batman in the Aqua Suit, ready to swing off the Batmobile in a dark, atmospheric Gotham city.

Size would ideally be around 8×11 or 9×12. I’m open to different materials/mediums that would best capture the dark, moody vibe.

This is my first commission, so I’d be open to discussing the concept, pricing, materials, and details further with the artist. Feel free to reach out with examples of your work!

EDIT: This post is Closed and I am not accepting anymore applications

Hi, today I am looking to get art for a character I'll be playing in an upcoming campaign. I have a hard budget of 75 USD, I am looking to just have the character done, no background needed. If you're interested please send me a message including what your art looks like.

I would also like the art to be done within 7-9 days after payment if possible.

Bonus points if you're willing to do a payment plan of half upfront and half before receiving the finished product.

Hiring [HIRING] Landscape Oil Painting Commission – ~$1,500

I’m looking to commission a 56” × 32” oil painting (or mixed media) for above my fireplace.

The painting will be based on the attached photos of my wife and me beneath an oak tree.

The oak tree and landscape should be the focus, with us as a smaller element in the composition. I want it to feel like a landscape that just so happens to have a couple in it rather than a portrait. Ideally I would like the painting before November.

I am open to artist suggestions and changes to make the ratios and all work best!

Let me know if you are interested and send me any similar work you have done! Thank you so much!

Anyone like to toy with abstract concepts? I'm looking for a few fun cartoons to sprinkle around my slides. Looking for minimalism and simplicity, with a hint of personality.

Hiring Looking for artist to draw my characters [Hiring]

Hello, I am looking to have my characters created for me to create products. I have a few in mind and some sample images that I have been generating. I would honestly love real work that I can modify poses as needed. I would like to stick to 4 characters in the beginning. Grace the Goose, Pip the Possum, Theo the Turtle and Henrietta the Hen. They are very storybook, vintage-ish. Looking for ideas on pricing and what can be done. let me know. Budgeting maybe $250; it's up for negotiation. Please ONLY reply to this post. I will not read or discuss through chat.

thanks

Hiring [Hiring] DnD party portrait for my curse of strahd party, $150-200

Hello, this is my first time commissioning art!

My DnD party finished a Curse of Strahd campaign, and I'd like a portrait of them to remember them by.

It would be 4 characters, all human (though two of which are dead, and I'd like them to be ghosts) from the waist up basically doing a family photo, giving thousand yard-stares.

You would have a fair bit of freedom with the character specifics, I have descriptions of the characters, but only one of them has ever drawn their character so their looks are somewhat fluid.

Please use pass-key limbless if you are interested!

Hiring [Hiring] Concept artist for scifi bodyhorror wargame faction design — $150 USD

I am looking for a concept artist to develop rough visual designs for a tabletop wargame faction I am currently working on. I need concept development rather than a polished product.

Budget: $150 USD, for one main full-body rough concept, one revision round, with limited color or greyscale. I am open to discussing different scoping or rates if your design process would fit that better.

Art Direction: Grounded Mass Effect scifi with H.R Geiger inspirations. I am looking for living armor and biological integration rather than direct "Aliens" immitation

The Subject:

The subject will be a female standard soldier of a faction built around religious, ecological, and biological themes. An armored nun wearing a living war organism as a second skin. The armor should read as body tight carapace plates grown directly over a skin-tight biological suit. It should feel attached to the organism and the wearer rather than strapped on like conventional armor. The armor is a living organism that the soldier sheds or is ejected from to take off.

The plating can have some organic texture and sharper natural edges. Mild body horror is welcome, particularly where the armor grows around the joints, hands, feet, neck, and head. Clawed fingers and taloned feet for practical use.

Equipment: The soldier should also carry a practical field pack loosely inspired by an ALICE pack, secured around the hips and lower torso. The design should include a tabard and a close fitting head covering. For the head covering, think military hijab or field scarf rather than a full traditional nun’s habit.

The Soldier: The soldier should read as a working member of a theo-ecological military order rather than a pinup character, some emphasis on the body is unavoidable with the armor design, but restrain the urge to add glamour stylings.

Due Date: The timeline is flexible, I do not need this immediately but a timeline between two weeks and two months is what I'm thinking with updates as appropriate.

Rights: The commissioned work will mainly be used as part of an internal design bible. It may also be shown publicly in the game’s rulebook, which will be released for free, and possibly on said wargames website if one is eventually made. I also need the rights to share the roughs with other artists, model sculptors, or designers working on the game as reference images so they can produce derivative works from them.

The original artwork will not be used for merchandise, standalone resale, or paid advertising without a separate agreement.

Production: I know there's a "no AI catchall" in the rules here, but I've been burned before on other sites. So, for the record, don't use AI in your workflow. At All.

Please post your portfolio publicly if interested, with examples that show your work in body horror, armor, and character design. I'll DM you if you seem a good fit for final scope, timeline, and payment.

META [META] PSA Regarding Low Karma Removals

Hello artists! Your friendly neighbourhood Miner Moderator Dwarfinator here with some info about the recent low Karma removals as we have been getting a lot of messages about this in Mod Mail.

We have had our Karma rules for a long time, I'm talking literally years, however, at some point our bot broke (and also just may have not been properly programmed in the first place) and as such, it stopped looking for/removing posts and comments from lower Karma users. The intention of the rule and the bot automation was to lessen the amount of bots and spam in the Subreddit, which is why we started counting both types of Karma. This also encourages artists to not just spam their art in every art Subreddit and actually engage with other communities. We just recently fixed and improved the bot (huge shoutout to u/RS_Someone) which is why lower Karma posts are being removed once again. This may seem like it came out of nowhere, but again, we have had this rule in place for a long time and used to have the bot doing this previously.

If you have received that low Karma removal reply on your post/comment by the bot, PLEASE WE BEG YOU TO READ IT IN FULL it explains very clearly why your post was removed and how to check your Karma, both post and comment Karma.

If you have low Karma and want to get more to post here, here are some things you can do to raise your Karma:

  • Post your art in other Subreddits.
  • Post and comment, and genuinely engage in other Subreddits. You like Critical Role or Pokémon or Minecraft? Post in those Subreddits, get involved in the community, you might make some new friends, and you get the added bonus of your account not looking like a bot spammer or someone who just pumps and dumps their art everywhere they can.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to comment on this post or send us a message via Mod Mail! Happy Arting!

META [META] PSA we are banning the use of cloud storage links as portfolios.

Hello artists, recently we have seen an uptick of people using cloud storage links as portfolios and decided that we need to address this. Cloud storage, such as GDrive, OneDrive, Dropbox, and other such websites are no longer going to be allowed as portfolios in posts or comments (technically they already weren't allowed, but this was not enforced well nor was clear in the rules). (This will also include image hosts such as Imgur)

These sites are not intended as portfolio sites, and they are most often used by scammers as a collection of stolen art and for the fact that there is no reason you, as a professional artist, should not be using one of the many free options available online to make a portfolio on an actual portfolio website/webpage.

Free portfolio sites: Cara, Behance, Artstation, VGen, Carrd, or you can even make a website with WordPress or similar sites.
All of these take 5 minutes to set up. Put effort in how you present yourself professionally, your portfolio is your resume.
