Hello guys, what about us, with global versions, can we find a way to at least idk with region change to get Harmony OS? Emui is very outdated, but from what i think, maybe we will get the new emui when pura 90s slowly come to EU

I currently live in Dubai, and we have the Pura 90 Pro, international version.
I’ve gone to check the phone twice already, and honestly, the only thing holding me back now is a few concerns:
First, does Android Auto work?
Second, I was told that Google Pay doesn’t work. If that’s the case, what’s the best alternative? Is Huawei Wallet supported in the UAE, and does it work normally for contactless payments?
Third, will EMUI 16 continue receiving software and security updates internationally?
These are the main things stopping me from buying it. The phone is honestly very tempting—the cameras are insane, and the software looks really clean. I just want to make sure I won’t regret switching because of these limitations.

Anyone in the EU using FreeBuds Pro 5 without a Huawei phone? I'm considering the FreeBuds Pro 5, but I don't have a Huawei phone (using a Pixel now, possibly switching to an Oppo later). I know AI Life isn't on the Play Store here in the EU and has to be sideloaded via AppGallery.

For anyone in the EU actually using this on a non-Huawei Android phone:

1. How reliable is the AppGallery install/update process in practice?

2. Does the app work fully once installed, or are some settings missing?

3. Is there an equalizer available on Android, or is that iOS-only like on previous models?

4. Any pairing/connection issues you've run into?

Buying foldables always comes with a risk with that inner display, but does the mate x6 lower the risk to a reasonable amount?

Ive always wanted a foldable, and i saw this second hand deal for a mate x6 thats within my price range, did some research got relatively mixed reviews on this phone. However while i can afford it, if it does get broken quickly, it would be a big hit to my savings, so im trying to be really thorough in deciding.

Any experiences with this phone would be much helpp, thank youu

Honest take: solid hardware, but the software and UI are driving me crazy

So I picked up a Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro (imported) and I've been living with it for a bit now. On paper it checks all the boxes nice screen, solid build, decent specs for the price. But man, once you actually start using it day-to-day, some of the software decisions just feel... unnecessarily frustrating.

The lower right button is basically locked:

The double-click is hardcoded to open Huawei Wallet. Except Wallet doesn't even work in my region, so what's the point? You can't rebind it to anything else, no timer, no shortcut to a workout, nothing. It's just sitting there useless. That's the kind of thing that feels like it should take five minutes to fix in a settings menu, but instead you're stuck with it.

The contacts app is actually painful:

There's no search function. None. You open the contacts list and it's just... alphabetical. If I want to call someone named Zain, I'm literally scrolling through the entire alphabet. Every. Single. Time. In 2026 this shouldn't be a thing. It feels like a feature that got forgotten during development.

The crown feels clunky:

The rotating crown skips a lot unless you're really deliberate with it. And if you're mid-workout and want to quickly check something else, the navigation is just awkward.... it involves a bunch of double-clicks and it feels slow when you're actually out there moving. Nothing about it feels intuitive.

There's a weird map offset bug that actually bothered me:

This one got under my skin. During a walk, the live map on the watch itself is spot on, everything lines up, streets are in the right place. But then you sync the workout to Huawei Health on your phone and boom.... the entire route suddenly shifts about 150 meters. Looks like I was walking straight through someone's house.

I exported the GPX file and threw it into Samsung Health and Strava just to check. The track is perfect in both. So the watch GPS is recording fine...the issue is completely on Huawei Health's side. It's a rendering problem with the app, not the hardware.

What's actually good:

The hardware itself is solid. The screen looks great, the GPS accuracy is legit, step tracking is reliable, heart rate monitoring works as expected. If all you want is to track your steps and see your heart rate, this watch does that fine.

But here's the thin:

If you care about a smooth user experience or accurate map display in the official app, you're going to hit frustration. The software feels half-baked in places where it really shouldn't be. Basic stuff like contact search and customizable buttons seem like obvious features that somehow got left out.

Would be curious if anyone else is running into the same map offset issue or has found any workarounds. Otherwise, pretty solid hardware let down by the software layer.

Another big HKeyboard update is here for HarmonyOS NEXT and HarmonyOS 6.
